Other golf forums?

I do, but generally in a read only mode. I prefer MGS because of the civil interactions, because it is a bit smaller than others, and it is less cliquish than the others.

Why? Because every golf forum has a different vibe and different specialization.

I can’t answer if you should consider a different forum because I don’t know what you are looking for.

I've been on WRX plus a couple of smaller ones and dropped out. The reasons for staying here and dropping out of the others: MGS  'moral codes', overall the MGS community values each other's opinions regardless of handicap/skill, and the online friendships developed. It's a great place to get sound information and contribute.

I'm active in two others, and look at yet another regularly.  Although all of them cover all aspects of golf, each has a different vibe, and a different attraction for me.  One is centered more around instruction, one has a very active and knowledgeable group interested in the rules.  MGS is absolutely the most civil of all of them, and provides an emphasis more centered around equipment.  I do my best not to "advertise" any of them when I'm posting in another, so I won't mention which ones I'm active in unless directly asked.

As for what you "should" do, I suggest you explore and find out what you enjoy.

This is my main golf forum. When I'm looking for reviews or comparisons, I might check other forums, because Google throws them out as results.

MGS offers the most welcoming and friendly atmosphere, hands down.

I am active on two at the moment.  MGS is the most civil, has a wide range of golf related topics with a more mature base.  The other is more of an "influencer" model centered around pop-culture and trends........fuuuuur-suuuurrrre! 

Both serve a purpose but those purposes are very different.

I have two others that I read through on infrequent occasion but only for information purposes. MGS is the primary forum for me.

I read and participate in multiple forums and groups. It’s no different than using multiple sources for any type of information.

I was a member of a big one based in Florida for several years. Joined the wrx for a few visits however it didn't fit my eye. MGS has the good ole hometown feel to it and it will always be my perch for golf related stuff.  Love it here!

Could not agree more, the WRX has a really uptight group of Moderators and that's being polite!
