I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with this, and if they'll keep the Launch Pads which I don't think have been moving very well for them. I'm still a huge fan of the D200 line (wish my son would let me take them back out of his bag!) and I thought the D300s were great for the short time I had them... thanks a lot, stupid tennis elbow.

The Launchpad line will carry over into 2021, but no real changes to it. It's been a huge hit with women and seniors.   But not so much with moderate or above swing types.

Got to try the D9's on an unseasonably warm day here in New Hampshire a few days ago, and on grass!  Here are some observations... 1. If it's high and far you seek, these will deliver.  2. K

Looking forward to seeing the new D9 irons. The driver... eh if it's still an ultra lightweight model like previous D line drivers, prob not for me.

  • The V6 replacement is incredible looking, and will fit nicely alongside the Staff Blades.
  • The new ball, very very intriguing.  There are internet rumblings out there about it.  But we'll have the full details soon enough, look for it in early 2021 I believe.
  • D9 irons look like you'd expect them to be, much like the D7 everything about them will be a distance story.
  • D9 Driver, saw it, liked it want to hit it to find out more.
  • Wedges have a new addition to the line.
  • Putters mostly carry over from this year, with one new addition that has my attention!!

Sorry I have but can't share pics of any of the above, details and those will come soon enough.

That V6 replacement tease...🤤

The Duo Professional will continue into 2021.  The "new" ball details will be announced in the coming weeks.

I'm not sure what ball came out this summer?

The staff model ball.

Sorry got my terms mixed up.

The Staff Professional is the 4 piece high 90's compression, it will continue as is into 2021

The Duo Professional is the 60 compression 3 piece that continues into 2021 as well

The "new" ball details can't be talked about yet.  But I will say it is in the Tour ball category

im not familiar with the 90 compression ball is that the STAFF MODEL?

Are you saying another tour ball??

thanks

Yep - that's the Staff Model ball at around 97 compression.  The new ball is going to be very interesting to say the least. It's fair to say it's probably something that has never been done in modern times. And it's sure to be a bit, uhhh, polarizing.

Now there's a tease for you....

Well it will be interesting for me to see the wedges. I always loved Wilson wedges the 58 Staff being the Holy Grail. The beloved Cleveland 588 is a copy of the famed 58 Staff SW. I am also a big fan of the Wilson JP series. And for you newbies JP in this case means Joe Phillips  ( chief designer for Wilson in 50s 60s 70s) not James Patrick. Found it funny when TM copied the WS bore through on their newer wedges

The V6 replacement will have to be a hell of a iron to beat the V6's which might be the most underrated iron of all time.

I hope they skip the V8, V10, V12, V16 and go right for the V20.  We something good to remember this year by.  A nice set of forged Wilson’s... might not be good by most people’s standards, but at least a few of us can enjoy it.

Or simply “Staff Model” on the back of a CB will work.

Surely not a return of the 2 tone Ping ball style from the late 80s?
