Daughter’s car has a dead battery. Luckily I showed her how to jump it with one of those handy jump starters the size of a portable phone charger. I’ll have to head to her school at lunch and swap cars so I can get the battery tested. On the work front, our dang plotter is messing up and not working and can’t seem to get it fixed. It’s a driver issue I’m sure so we will see what we can do there. Other than that, hopefully that’s the worst of it. Supposed to get storms this afternoon but then clear out through the weekend which will be nice for Mother’s Day. Hope everyone has a wonderful day! Good for you and your daughter… Basic life skills seem to be a dying or dead necessity to the younger generation. Possibly they just get what they need when they need it on YT or Google. That said; it is more than a little unnerving to have young ones show up at a work location that barely know how to put gasoline in a vehicle ( okay, maybe a slight exaggeration )…. Still again, good job by both of you. Northern Monkey, ParFore74x, tdroma98 and 9 others

Ditto! On both counts! Occasionally my job gets very interesting, very fast. Email popped into my inbox with a new MRI report about 45 minutes ago. The drug we're testing is known to cause swelling and/or bleeding on the brain in some cases, so we look for that. In this one case, she got both. I had to notify my bosses, notify the patient (she says she feels fine) and develop a plan of action from there. Since she's not having any problems yet, we'll just monitor and get more MRIs. She already had an appointment next week and I'll check her out then. Doubt I'll do anything golfwise today, but I'm planning to get in a Fit For Golf workout tonight. Popular Post Dead Solid Bogey
Good morning my fellow spies. Had a little issue with the hands and wrists in driving to the work site then putting in about 6 hours off an on before calling it a day. It has been a minute since last working in 100° heat. So that took a slight toll on the old body. Suppose to be between 100 - 105° the next couple of days. Maybe it will warm up the old joints a bit. Popular Post EnderinAZ
Good morning spies! I just finished all of the technical stuff in the swing weight thread and my mind is awash with finding the right feel for my clubs. Range work yesterday showed me what I need to do today for consistency and consistency is the key to winning money out of the other old guys in the Wild Bunch. They tried the dry jet method last year and it wasn’t good. It’s the closest course so I deal with it. ILMgolfnut
Division I women's golf regionals taking place this week at six sites; top five teams at each site advance to the national tournament. Nobody streaming them, unfortunately, but you can follow scores at Golfstat. All six regionals conclude today, and they're all finished or nearly so. at Auburn: Auburn, Oregon, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tulsa advance, at Michigan State: USC, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, Northwestern and Pepperdine advance. at Wake Forest: Ole Miss, Texas, Wake, Mississippi State and Oregon State advance. at Texas A&M: LSU, SMU, Clemson, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M advance. at Las Vegas (almost complete): Arkansas, Purdue, Baylor, Florida State and UCLA are in position to advance; Arizona could get into the top five with a late charge. at Washington (still in progress): Stanford, Duke, Virginia, Arizona State and San Jose State are in position to advance. Kansas would have to make up seven shots on the back nine. UPDATE: Arizona is now tied with Florida State in Vegas and UCLA is odd team out, but only one shot back. If there's a tie for that fifth spot, it will be broken. I believe the first tiebreaker is lowest score of the rounds that were thrown out (each team counts four of its five scores every day). Popular Post Kenny B
Good Morning everyone! Well, it was morning a few hours ago; and a nice morning it was without the winds. Welcome to the forum @Billy The Kid Rogers and @shady 101!! Glad to have you aboard! I decided to head to the course; it was busy. Asked if I could get out for 9 holes walking, pro said at 11:37. So I practiced for an hour, then went to the tee at 11:15 (they don’t call people to the tee anymore). A foursome was about to tee off. As they were teeing off, two guys rolled up in a cart and I asked if they were the 11:27 time… Nope! 11:34… and they had a foursome. I called the clubhouse and the pro said the people at 11:27 canceled so I gave that spot to you. Wish he had told me that 90 minutes earlier!!! I’m not waiting on every shot of the group in front with another foursome behind me… on a busy day. So I left; at least I got some practice in. It seems the days of showing up at our muni and getting out as a single in the next two hours are gone! I was always able to squeeze in with a threesome. Now I guess I have to make a tee time for every day and cancel on days I decide not to play. Oh yeah… while unloading clubs from my car, a golf ball goes bouncing through the parking lot between me and the teaching pro as we were talking. Third ball (that I’ve seen) in the parking lot so far this year, and it’s the 12th ball that has come within 10 yards of me this year. Last year I was hit in the head while practicing on the putting green. I’m seriously thinking that I won’t be renewing my membership next year. Popular Post Dead Solid Bogey
Good Thursday morning my fellow spies. Up a tad early…. but the same old horrid heat on tap for the day. To add to the heat misery, I will be staying at the work site a few more days, probably until Monday. I have had time to think about my response to… you-know-who’s, cute little “ Mother Nature “ comment from the other day, when golf got rained out. It is dangerously life threatening, but has the potential to be magnificently epic. Common sense and survival instinct would dictate that I pass and respond in a different way. Fortunately or unfortunately for me, as the case maybe, common sense is not one of my strong points. Besides, we are here only once so I am going with… For those in attendance at the audio/visual golf therapy session ( a.k.a. The Community Call ) this afternoon, enjoy and please if you would be so kind as to post reports of the session. Popular Post ejgaudette
Good morning all! Was another busy day yesterday as expected but making progress and moving in the right direction which always feels good to be doing. Weather was drier than expected which is great and now looking like just cloudy the next few days. Always great to see what everyone is up to so thanks for sharing all! Have a great Thursday everyone!
