Popular Post GolfSpy_KFT
Good morning all and happy Thursday! Last baseball game of the season this year with my oldest and hoping the weather will hold out to let us get it in. Had to reschedule a round of golf yesterday with two of my former basketball players and an assistant coach from my high school hoops coaching days due to rain. One of the guys works at Wild Rock in the Dells this summer, so free rounds on arguably the nicest course within a 45 minute drive of home Hoping to get rescheduled for Monday or Wednesday this coming week! Not sure what the weekend will bring yet, may go to my in-laws cabin, may not. If we don’t, I’ll be getting a round in for sure as the member/guest tournament at our club is quickly approaching and I need to keep working on my consistency shot to shot. Also have a bathroom repainting project, but thankfully it’s the smallest one in the house so should be pretty easy. It’ll honestly take longer to prep than paint . Hoping everyone has a great day today and maybe I’ll see you on the community call! rkj427, ejgaudette, Byrnzee and 20 others 23 Quote Driver: GT3 9|Tour AD-UB 6S (testing in progress) Fairways: GT2 15 & 18|Tour AD-UB 7S (testing in progress) | Aerojet Max 7|Kai'Li White 70X Hybrid: King TEC 3H|MCA MMT 85g Stiff Irons: Aerojet 6-GW|KBS $-taper Lite Stiff Wedges: Vokey SM10 52.12F|56.12D|True Temper Vokey Wedge Flex Putter: Super Select Newport 2.0 Ball: Tour & ProV1 #LeftyGang Titleist GT Long Game Test (Link Here) Cobra 50th Anniversary Member Special Challenge (link here)
Popular Post ejgaudette
Good morning all! Had a nice Wednesday off with the family. Got out early for a sweaty round as a practice round for the NH State Am qualifier that is on Monday. Played pretty well and it was good to see the course once before going to play it. Then went to the water park with the family for the rest of the day where it was sweltering so the water was welcome relief. One last hot day today and I will be very happy to have that hear break. Popular Post Steve F
Good Thursday morning MGS Nation! League play last night and I cannot complain. Except for my now apparently and customary round ending blow up hole (lost my only ball of the round and had to take a penalty) the round was a decent one, one of my best ever! Shotgun start, we started on 4, so the snowman was my big blowup and once again, I see that I'm having a good round and mess up the ending! NO three putts, so the Mamba is finding his stride! 15 putts for 9 holes. It was one of those rounds where my partner kept commenting "Man, you're on tonight..." and everything just felt good for the most part. Nothing crazy on the agenda but some more practice and trying to build on the good habits! Have 18 set up for Saturday and Sunday, so golf is definitely planned for the weekend! I hope everyone has a great day and that golf figures into your agenda. Looking forward to listening in on the community call on my way home from work, hit 'em straight MGS Nation! Popular Post Dead Solid Bogey
Time again for Thursday’s group golf therapy session… ( aka. Community Call ). Always enjoy gleaning a few gems of wisdom and general jocularity from the Cliff’s Notes posted afterwards. Took awhile to get back onto the forum after the site shut down for maintenance. Grateful to the mods for lifting whatever “ double secret probation “ that I was placed on. Got back to her high highness’s realm early enough to get an extremely poorly played round in on Tuesday, still had a great time with the Ancient Agers. While like a good neighbor, the worst of Alberto is staying in Mexico, we are getting some of the side effects of rain and wind. NO golf Wednesday or today. The rain should taper off fairly fast today and be an afterthought by Friday, noon. Will probably end up acquiescing to the request of the Empress of Economic Stimulus for a new(er) vehicle. Since I am not a Louisiana Lord of Luxury like @3Putt4Double , that would pay for a vehicle with his pocket change, I will need to find alternative finances. I will be going the low tech route of a Go Fund Me that @Rob Person suggested he might use to finance his trip to the next MGS meet up. To assure that golf is still a viable probability after the vehicle purchase, I will be spending a lot of time doing this…. Popular Post Shrek74
Good morning, Spies!! Happy Pre-Friday! It's actually going to be a busy day for me today with work. I have 3 upgrades scheduled for today, starting at 11am CDT and going through about 5pm CDT. So it's going to be a day to stay focused. So I'm getting my MGS Forum fix early to help sustain me through the afternoon. Tuesday was a rough day with the forum down all day here. I was climbing the walls without my forum fix. Just glad the update was completed and the forum is back. Positive outlook for golf this weekend. Only a very slight chance of rain. We're expecting some next Wednesday though, which is ok. We don't mind the sporadic rain during the summer, just not basically every day like we did in May. Well, everyone have a fantastic Pre-Friday! Popular Post EnderinAZ
Good morning spies! Had a fine round yesterday. Shot a 78 on a par 73 course. Front was a 1 under par 35. That was the first time I have broken the glass window at that scoring level. I hope your team plays better than mine did @William P. We played 2 out of 3 score on all the holes except the par 5 17th. On this hole one of my team members pushed us out of contention with a 10. @Josh Parker Learn to play in the rain. Knowing how wins tournaments. In Alaska where, I started golfing again, if you didn't play in the rain, you didn't play. @jbern I remember annual classes like that. I never had a reason to do CPR of which I am thankful. I did have to put on a Scott Airpack one time due to a massive gas leak and subsequent fire suppressant release. I was nine floors up in a turbine module when a 4 inch overhanging mass valve broke off due to high frequency stress vibration. There was 3000 psi natural gas in a 20 inch pipe behind that 4 inch valve. The air got real bad real fast.
