Good morning! Busy start to the day for me and I’ve only now finished my first cup of coffee. Going to pour another one and get going on a couple of items for work that came up over the weekend. 
 

Yesterday, I cleaned out my car and found a shocking amount of crumbs, cheerios, crackers and snacks from my 3 kids!  Also had a good time watching The Open and was happy to see Xander win it. I admittedly was pulling for Justin Rose, but both played awesome!

I was also able to get out for 9 hole last evening. A friend called me and said he was taking his son, so I took my son along and it was a great time watching them golf and getting a few good swings in myself! I asked what his highlight was and he said “hitting the ball in the sand!” 
 

No golf for me today unless I can get a longer than expected break in work to get to a practice area.

morning spy's

sitting in a an air B&B in Revelstoke BC just chilling out and waiting to head out for a practice round at the course. Played 18 yesterday, quite tight on the front side and more undulating on the back, the old story, the course is easy if you hit all the fairways lol

glad I put a round in yesterday and took some notes, I will expand on them today and get my game face on for the tournament....

I enjoyed seeing Justin Rose's concentration yesterday at the open, kindof got me dialled in a bit, he was really focused...

Good morning/afternoon spies been away for a few days busy with the new baby! Absolute savior of my wife allowed me to continue with a planned golf tournament I had this past weekend. Still getting out to the range and he’s just hanging out in the stroller. Have league on Wednesday and as of right now she says I can play!

Good Monday Morning everyone!!  Hope your day is off to a great start!  This old guy is still laid up with a sore back.  I skipped playing on Saturday so my wife played with the Ladies group.  I decided to try to play on Sunday; not a good decision.  Had some good shots, but overall played poorly.  The good news is that each time I play, I’m feeling more comfortable with the Kuchar reverse-armlock grip and putting is getting better.  I think I’m sticking with it through the end of the year; then evaluate it.  

I wanted to try the Kuchar method because I have a very dominant right arm.  Normal armlock method was a disaster.  As many of you know, I have been putting for over 10 years with a standard grip while looking at the hole instead of the ball for all putts.  I’m very comfortable doing that and putt OK; at least I think so.  However, I’ve found that I have to look at the ball with this new method; that’s taking some getting used to.  Maybe I’ll go back to looking at the hole as I become more comfortable with this new stroke.

Today I have two BIL's coming to stay a couple of nights; one from Seattle and one on his way back to Phoenix.  My wife and I have a tee time tomorrow to play a round with them.  No sure if I will be able to make full swings or not.

It’s been 105-108º the past few days but it’s cooling off a little today, but look what’s taking it’s place…  this pic was taken this morning looking directly at the sun.  Our area is covered with smoke from fires from Oregon, northern Washington, and Idaho.  Oh yeah, the wind has picked up!!

We are located on the Columbia River about 9 hours south of Revelstoke.

Greetings from sunny Southern California. I played a quick 9 at Goat Hill Park. The place has a very relaxed vibe. I have a tee time for Wednesday morning as well. 
My wife and I are having a great time spending time with our son and daughter in law. Our daughter in law had a photography job on a movie set yesterday. We were looking forward to hearing about it.

Those arches (in Arches National Park) are in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Good morning all, no golf today as a little stiff after the competition yesterday. 
I really enjoyed it and the first 9 was some of the best golf I think I’ve ever played. To start with an eagle was amazing and I finished gross +1. The afternoon 18 wasn’t as good but wasn’t bad. Just a couple of silly mistakes cost me shots but I ended up gross +12. That gave me a competition score of -13 net which was just enough to put me in 4th place on count back so I was pleased with that, especially as I was only 2 shots behind the winner.

It's another wet morning here in TN and I'm just waking up in the car drinking my morning mug of motivation. I need it after the early start to my day yesterday. 

We spent some time yesterday going through things that were packed up in the house deciding whether to keep it or throw it away. 

@Northern Monkey great job in the comp yesterday, starting with an eagle had to be so awesome!

Thanks. It was a great feeling and the first eagle I’ve had in as long as I can remember. The chip in was a lovely shot, even if I say so myself. It pitched just on the green and then rolled nicely with the slope on the green for around 8 yards before dropping centre cup. Couldn’t believe it at the time

Good morning MGSpies from a still wet from early rain now past here in downtown Buffalo NY where Koresma radio on Pandora is playing Moby's Rushing for the ears and hot coffee is soothing the other senses in the comfort of my climate controlled vehicle as I prepare to go into the building for the next adventure in serving those who serve others. Awesome to share with @Northern Monkey and his Eagle on the first hole my first is usually still in the warmup mode so a par5 3 to me is outstanding out of the gate adding to the amazing effect golf has on us from the convergence of innumerable variables, and may we all keep going for our own convergences! Hope golf is a part of your day

Good morning Guys!

Yesterday's after work round got canceled because rain. I did get out to hit some 8 iron shots between showers out my yard trying to work on my release and my backswing. I have to get rid of the pull draw I have going on as that is my biggest miss at this point with my approach to the greens. Hopefully this afternoons weather will hold out but they are calling for thunderstorms so it's hard to say. 

I'm also grateful and thankful that I have been chosen by the Awesome forum staff here to test out and review the Titleist Vokey Fitting app and Wedge review!!! I'm over the moon excited to get that going as my wedges are a mix match of Srixon, Mizuno, and Cleveland Zipcore. 

Good luck to all that can make it out today and hit them strait!

Good morning Spies.

i had a big break through this weekend, it was my first time in the last year that i played a pain free round of golf. I’ve been working with a physical therapist and more importantly actually doing what she is telling me to do (crazy how that works). So my morning consisted of fitness for golf. Now on to parenting duties.

Good morning everybody. Forecast is calling for possible rain this afternoon so not sure of golf plans. Clubs will go to work with me just in case the rain holds off.

I received my denial letter from the Masters last night so no plans to attend that in 2025. I informed my wife that we’re not going but plans for anything else at that time are still off limits.

Congrats on the Eagle @Northern Monkey, great way to start a round.

A fine day getting back to work, though was still feeling a bit tired. Might be something going around, as my wife has not been feeling great.

A rainy morning this morning, but can't complain we have not had much rain the past three weeks.

Good morning Spies!

No golf for me today.  Just a bunch of work, but that is the fuel that feeds the golf addiction.

Had my first chiropractor appointment ever yesterday to try to begin addressing my chronic lower back problem.  The good news is that golf is not the cause, and the issues are primarily mechanical, not spinal/joint/nerve damage.  I’m supposed to be back to normal in 8-10 weeks if all goes well.

We started down the path of “no golf during therapy,” but I’m pretty sure the look on my face forced a modification on that front. instead I was told to take it easy on the course and have fun.  That I can manage.  It all kinda seems like voodoo to me if I’m being honest.  But if it works who cares?

Nice form @Wasper007 and glad you are pain-free.  With additional inspiration from @ILMgolfnut I hope to rejoin you in some golf-based fitness work soon.

unfortunately had to make an early call for Wednesday golf league and get a sub due to work. Hoping I can go to the range at some point this week to figure out my driver as I’ve been losing a ton of strokes off the tee this year.

This happens to me a decent amount when uploading from mobile. Try sending them to yourself via email downloading them to desktop and then adding from there. Tends to work better for me

Good morning!

Another full day of rain in the forecast and golf is looking like it may consist of putting practice inside.  Work has been starting to kick off on the new venture and it's keeping me busy and motivated.  The RE is still moving and working on getting everything lined out.
