on a driving cart I would put woods in the wedges spot and move wedges near the putter. 

For a push cart the layout they show works great because of how it leans back to the handle. It puts the woods at the highest point 

That makes sense. I wasn’t familiar with the GT-14 version. My 14-way has dividers in the bottom slot as well to keep my wedges separate.

Good morning Spies!

Presidents Cup got off to a fun start yesterday, with USA pulling off the early sweep in day 1. Was cool to see Scottie and Tom Kim banter back and forth, as well as Keegan making some long putts and showing his American pride. Excited to watch day 2 and some hopefully closer competition.

New TSR2 driver head arrived yesterday, but unfortunately my buddy forgot to include the Titleist adapter in the box. PGA Tour Superstore was all out, so I have to wait until he sends me one to put it into play. I can't complain much, since he sent it to me for nothing. Just have to be a little more patient until next week.

Met up with a friend from grad school last night for dinner. He's in town for the Notre Dame game, which we'll also be attending tomorrow. Will be grabbing dinner with him and some other friends this evening as well. Hoping for a pretty chill Friday otherwise.

I didn't end up being able to listen in because I got a call from a friend to get out golfing and the timing was going to work perfect between kids' stuff!

I can't imagine PXG not having a fitting facility in the Cleveland area. That is a bummer. How did the call go? What did you think?

Morning! TGIF!! Late start here on a grey day .. out for date night with my honey last night and we may have had that one extra happy hour round served to us...

Gotta catch up on the replay of the Community Call - am interested in learning about what the PXG people have to say. 

So feeling it in the ole legs this morning - decided to go on a build up more muscle kick and did some squats and lunges. Then rode the air resistance bike for a half hour. We'll see what we decide to add on today...

Good morning!

Fit for Golf workout done this morning, though I somehow slept past by alarm by about 45 minutes so the morning has felt a bit rushed. Must have somehow turned it off without waking up which is odd as it is quite the reach from my bed and its a sunrise one that slowly lights up for about 10 minutes and then plays a tune, oh well

Another work day, wondering what fun we will find today. Otherwise not much, but the weather has moved out so hoping to run through some rounds of golf on Rapsodo and E6 for comparison which should just about wrap up the review. Might try to get one last range session in and then another net session.

Good morning Spies on a TGIF here. 

Cloudy and low 70's for the forecast, with a chance of some rain tomorrow from the hurricane moving north.

SWMBO has a doctor appointment today, so I need to take her to that, and hope to get some range time in later today.

Rounds scheduled for both weekend days, early in the morning to potentially beat any rainy conditions.

Have a great vacation @Coulter, and hope the rest of the Spies have the best day/weekend they possibly can have.

To those in the southeastern US, stay safe.

Good morning! As I mentioned above, I got a call from a friend and was able to get out and golf for 9 holes between work and kids' stuff going on in the evening. It's hard to pass on an opportunity like that! The golf and company was fun, but my game was... meh.

Today I've got a project I need to wrap up and pass along for review, so I'll be pretty busy dotting T's and crossing i's...

Good Morning MGS!

It's Friday kids dropped at school, I'm on cup 2 of coffee for the day looking at probably 1 more around 1030 as a former Boatswains mate it's like drinking water for us. Going to get rained on at the football game tonight so at least I'm prepared for it. Talked to the course about tee time on Sunday and with all the rain we've had they're not optimistic. Might be a range practice weekend which isn't terrible but not what I wanted to hear. Football tomorrow but spread out a bit so there is time to breathe in between games for a change. Oh finding out that PXG has plans to bring a mini driver to market soon via the call yesterday was pretty sweet! I will definitely be looking at that with some heavy interest when it makes it's appearance. 
 

@BIG STU That is cool that the JG was into it as I'm sure that made it a much better process for you and that other guy. That Lt Commander sounded like one of the officers that everyone had respect for. I met a few of them in my time in and I definitely appreciated them and their leadership style. A lot of the JO's I met we just called robots but 2 from my time on the CGC Harriet LAne stand out both were JG's and if you screwed up you knew it but they would also ensure that you understood that it was a work issue not personal issue. I got out as a BM2 (yep it's okay to laugh at that) and tried while in and today to model that leadership style.

Checking in from raining Atlanta - it appears that its skirted the city for the most part.  Heard reports of downed trees / power lines but nothing major.  Hope everyone in the path from Florida up is doing ok!

Good morning spies...a quiet no work morning since there is a 12:00 shotgun start to a scramble.  Saw this little baby snapping turtle in the driveway when the dog was out wandering the backyard.  I am not sure how i noticed it among the leaves.  I figured it just hatched as small as it is and i looked for more but didnt see any.  I moved it to the edge of the woods in the direction it was headed

The call was great you could really tell how passionate Mike is about PXG and their process! @ILMgolfnut mentioned that one of our indoor golf places can fit for PXG. I've been to their Canton, OH location during the previous winters and it's great and I have heard good things about Twinsburg, but I'm holding off until; we get that actual PXG Brick and Mortar store. It has to happen soon I keep telling myself lol

Way back in the early 90s I belonged to a home brew club in San Francisco, “The San Andreas Malts”. Anchor Steam Brewing used to host the west coast American Home Brewers Association competition and our brew club would provide the logistics for the event. I would help receive, log and store all the entries then would run the entries to the judges during the competition. The judging would occur in the Anchor Steam Tap Room. At lunchtime they would open the taps for us. It also afforded me a great behind the scenes look at the brewery. I also would enter beer that I had brewed. Nothing award winning though. It was fun.

Was invited to play in a scramble this afternoon at a local country club.  Trying to decide if I am going; supposed to start raining when the golf starts and winds are supposed to be 20+.   A drizzle wouldn’t be horrible, but don’t want to play in rain.  Yes, @TJ Hall I am soft .

If you bring an umbrella and full rain gear it won’t rain, but if you’re not prepared it would be full Caddy Shack mode!

Good morning Spies,

Uppa with a cuppa. Happy Friday. Woke up to a foggy Central NY. It reminded me of where I grew up. A rather foggy Pacifica, CA. No golf on tap for today. A walk for Cooper, mow the lawn and a run. Oh and Flu Shot and COVID vaccine is scheduled for this afternoon. Watched a bit of the President’s Cup yesterday. Not really Ryder Cup level energy though. The only “buzz” being Tom Kim and partner heading to the next tee box as Scottie finishes the hole.  

I like seeing the Ghost cart bags arrive in the hands of testers. They look pretty darn nice.

Thanks for the kind words! Hoping to get relief soon. The military has been great, but its taken a lot back too. The Ship, Shipmate, Self mentality is great in theory when you are mission-focused, but the Self tends to suffer the most. Praying for better days and relief ahead.

Well, Helene is clearly not a golf fan here either...there go the plans for outdoor testing of the inbound P770s. Dammit! Sim booked for this afternoon. Tomorrow morning's round  definitely cancelled. Course is a flood plain. Sunday's round very much in doubt.

If you have reasonable-to-good weather and golfing plans- swing well and have fun!

If you're impacted by Helene, stay safe.

Good morning Spies! Looks like quite the evening/morning in Florida, Georgia and the western parts of the Carolinas thanks to Helene. Barely sprinkling here at the Casa but thunderstorms expected later. Son sent me some video he took this morning at the hotel where he works near Myrtle Beach; the wind outside was sucking the front door of the hotel open, and carried away a heavy rubber door mat which son had to retrieve. He said they got quite a bit of rain. You would think they'll need to correct that front door issue.

Supposed to be sunny here tomorrow. Don't think any golf will be played due to the lingering discomfort in the right shoulder/arm, though.

If you can, hit 'em straight and putt 'em straighter! If you can't, be safe!

Good morning fellow spies!

I hope all of our Florida spies are safe and sound!

I planned on going to the range today to put the PXG Allan putter through a distance/accuracy test alongside my Odyssey.  Since the putting green is 4" underwater and the winds are still gusting to around 30 mph, I think I will try doing this in the basement.  If this provides any beneficial data, I'll post the results in the PXG Allan testing thread.
