Popular Post sirchunksalot
Good morning everyone! I'm just pulling into work on this beautiful Tuesday trying to get motivated for the day. I played yesterday and got home a bit late so I'm a little tired. It was a fun round and I was playing good until the last hole. It's crazy how one bad decision can ruin a hole. Popular Post rkj427
Good morning Spies on a cloudy, but rain expected shortly Tuesday Michigan morning. Hoping to get through the last3 major inspections today, and then the rest of the week will be spent making presentations showing root cause and why it occurred so all who read o see them can understand quickly and easily. Rain expected for 3 of the next 5 days after today as well, so hopefully it washes away the remnants of winter salt and lets spring start to take hold. Popular Post ParFore74x
Good morning spies and a happy Tuesday to you all. Staring the day at 33° on our way to a high of 57° which should make for a pleasant afternoon. My right shoulder has been bugging me pretty bad for a few weeks and I finally caved and went to the doctor yesterday. It doesn’t hurt to swing a club but it definitely hurts when I’m reaching over my head to get something. I have full movement, just some pain when above my head. Anyways, doc is scheduling some physical therapy to get things worked out. Hopefully that and some stretching at home does the trick. Time to head to work, have a great day spies! Popular Post Wheelieb
Morning All, I awoke to se that the testers were announced for the Haywood and TP5 tests. Congrats to those testers again. I got all my stuff ready to go and left for work. I did grab all my stuff and that is a plus. The most shocking part about coming in early is I see the off going watch stander opening the building and being able to get in after they start their mornings rounds without them noticing. Today was different. The off going watch was already hear and everything was unlocked and ready to rock for the day. This lead to them asking a question I didn't have an answer for. "Why are you the first person in and one of the last to leave for the day?" This is a young member, maybe has been in the navy about 3-4 years, asking me a question that is normally asked by higher ranking people. So we chatted a bit about it and I explained I hate coming in right on time. I can get more things completed when there are fewer people here plus traffic. Traffic is the biggest reason I leave later when I could probably leave about 2 in the afternoon, but then I would be stuck waiting in traffic. Knowing that most of the time the off going watch stander leaves to get breakfast after they get relieved, I relieved them early to let them go get food. I waited until the oncoming watch stander came in and naturally they were confused. So we had a similar talk. It's nice that most of the young kids are noticing work habits. Being told by them that it rubs off on them to work that much harder to get into my position made me feel proud. Sorry for the slight humble brag. Hope everyone has a great day. Popular Post EnderinAZ
Good morning spies! Well I blew the first round of the club championship yesterday. 15th hole hit the ball a bit to the left, clipped the fronds at the top of a very tall palm tree. The ball flew about 30 feet further and went into the fronds of the next palm tree in line....and didn't come out. I played the provisional which I just hooked out of bounds. Took a 10 on that hole and pretty much flushed my tournament down the toilet. I played quite well before and after that with only 1 double. But 5 over on a par 5 is just bad... Posted my first impressions of the Maxfli Tour X balls today. And, after a successful test of the A&M 9000 this weekend testing begins in earnest later today. Most likely wont get through more than the initial putter tests due to memory constraints in the pair of IPads I will use for video purposes. 72 videos at a minimum as part of today's test. Should be interesting for a while. But if the claim on the box "Center of Gravity Balanced" is true it could get boring pretty quick. Popular Post Shrek74
Good morning and happy Second Monday, Spies! It's another beautiful day here in Central TN. Lovely 55* degrees at the moment, going for a high of 61. Sadly, rain coming this afternoon. Great for watering the lawn, courses, and filling up the lakes. Not so much for running errands or anything to be done outside. Work started on the laundry room yesterday, taking down the various trim off half of the walls so far. Turns out it's all cheap pressed board crap, which is sad for a house of this value. What's worse is that the area of the wall below the high trim is all pressed board as well and not drywall. We're going to leave it and fill the pathetic gap the installers left when they built the house, but it's just sad to see this low quality if work in a house like this. You can see the before (left) and after (right) of the trim in the below picture. We still have no clue why someone would spend the money to have something like this done in the laundry room. Plus there's beadboard and crown molding in the garage too. The cabinets and shelf unit will all come out and we're going to put in all new wall/base/utility cabinets on the right and left walls, plus a small bench on the wall to the right in the picture. So we have a bit of work ahead of us still, but dad and I will get it done in a timely manner. Everyone have a wonderful Second Monday! I only lived there for a year and a half but my brother lives in Othello and mom in Moses Lake. Small world! Welcome neighbor!! If you are in the area visiting, give me a shout. Used to play Moses Pointe GC years ago and the 9-hole course in Othello. My wife’s best friend's family owned Paradise Farms and their house was on the golf course. Her dad put on a BBQ and golf tournament on July 4th every year and never won it until we played on his team!! Maybe we can play somewhere or meet for a drink or food. The Brunswick Bar and Grill in Othello used to be pretty good with prime rib on Fr-Sat. Popular Post J7Hawkins
Morning all! The course is back open today but I actually have a crazy busy day today with meetings all the way though until late this evening (8:00pm ish) so it looks like there will be no golf for me today aside from maybe hitting some balls on the range between meetings if there is time. My goal for the year was 150 rounds of golf played and as of this morning I’m at 27 which puts me basically on pace for 150. And that is with January being basically a lost month (or 3 weeks) due to freezing temperatures and snow/sleet! ejgaudette, Dead Solid Bogey, cksurfdude and 9 others 12 Quote Driver: g410 (Mitsubishi Tensei Orange 65g) | 3 Wood: LTDx (Project X HZRDUS Smoke IM10) | Utility Iron: ZX Utility (23* UST Mamiya Recoil 95g) | XCOR2 0211 6-GW (True Temper Elevate 95) | Wedges (52, 56, 60): T22 Blue Ion (True Temper Dynamic Gold 132) | Putter: Versa Double Wide Blade (Stroke Lab shaft) | Ball: RB Tour X Baseball player turned golf addict. Popular Post David Staller
It is a sad day. I may be putting my club membership on hold due to chronic back issues. Sunday before last I played my worst round in 10 years. Could not stay in a shot.
