Good morning everyone , I hope you all get to fulfill your goals today ! Raining here in central Florida though I know most of the country is experiencing weather worse than that . Being the group leader I must make the call on play today which I’ll do by 7:00 am . At this point looks iffy at best but % goes to less than 50% by 9:00 ( our first time ) but we all won’t play under that threat . Hope everyone’s brackets weren’t busted last night like mine but that’s why it called Madness ! Be safe , kind and blessed today !

Good morning Spies on a TGIF morning here in the Motor City area.

Snow moving in within the next hour, and unfortunately for me, it was a commute into the facility day, so not looking forward to the ride home later.

Supposed to get 4 - 5 inches, and temperatures will stay cold here through Sunday, so it may hang around for a few days.

Busy day at work for me today, but hoping to get back to Carl's and the range over the weekend.

Make your day the best that it possibly can be, and hope that something fun and enjoyable are in your plans.

Good morning all!

Quieter day yesterday, though was as windy as advertised and that will continue today as we get the snow @rkj427 is talking about tomorrow instead of today. Looking like 4 to 8 inches. Things likely will not last long but getting that usual late March snow storm that we seem to get every year.

Have a contractor coming this afternoon to give us the quote for the addition the wife and I have been talking about. He is known for being very reasonable but I am still sure it will be a lot.

With the snow Saturday will likely be another quiet at home day but maybe get one last cross country ski in on Sunday.

A busy Friday and weekend on tap here.  Big work day today, followed by a night out tonight.  Then tomorrow I get the pleasure of meeting and golfing with @CudaKota66 at his home track.  Very much looking forward to that.

Good morning spies and TGIF!! For a three day work week, this one sure is dragging. Woke up to the lightest trace of snow on the ground. There is definitely a chance for more until about noon today but depending on one’s source for the forecast, it’s anywhere from a trace to 5”. Such a guessing game.

F1 race weekend from Australia so the race will air live at 11pm on Saturday here so I’ll need to prepare for that if I want to watch it live. That means sleeping in or a nap on Saturday. There will not be any improvements in the weather so maybe both.

Good morning spies! Off duty weekend,  but no golf. Had a longtime friend drive down from Ohio last night. No idea what's on the agenda, but last time he hit a club was at a top golf type place and he sent the driver head 50 yards into the "bubble" as he put it. (No idea what that means) yup, just the head!

Hope everyone can have something enlightening happen this weekend!

Btw, when he arrived he had this great shirt on, to which my wife immediately replied. "Oh sh!!t, not you too" (it's the word, and she cringes at it... )

Good morning everyone. Light rain starting off the morning with more off and on again rain all weekend. Got in 9 after work yesterday and weather forecast looks like I can sneak in my second nine today. Anyone else catch some opening March Madness last night? Anyone else with a busted bracket? Damn you, Kentucky. Oh well, now I get to just focus on Oregon and cheering them on. Hope everyone has a great day ahead.

Good morning spies!

Vacation starts today as we arrived late last night to our AirBnB getaway in middle-of-nowhere, Michigan. The AirBnB itself is beautiful and has lots of room for the three dogs to run around. My dog doesn't get to socialize often, so he's over the moon.

Should be a pretty low-key day, with no real plans on the agenda. We might hit up a brewery in town and grab some more groceries (beer) for the house. 

Was able to catch the Valspar Championship for a bit yesterday. Fun fact, Kevin Roy (currently solo 2nd) is a good family friend. Will be rooting for him to keep shooting low this weekend!

Good morning to all on a still cold Friday morning in the frozen north. Apparently, I’m told that the “early spring” groundhog predictor is on vacation this week in Florida. Hmmm. 

I finally received my MGS tour bag card.  A big thank you to @GolfSpy SAM for sending it to me. It then promptly disappeared like a bad slice into the woods. So the hunt was on. I looked in all the usual spots but I couldn’t find it anywhere.  I finally spoke to sr. Management, aka the artist in residence, I.e. my lovely wife,  if she had seen it. Nope, hadn’t seen it. Which then only left option B, that it had been apprehended in one of her cleaning forays. So off to the garage I went on my search through the recycle bin. And sure enough, the lost ball, oops I mean bag tag was found. Rather than tempt fate again, it is now securely attached to my golf bag. Whew, I think I need another double espresso. Have a great day and weekend.

On the upside, my Jayhawks managed to survive a big time meltdown last night against a very good Samford squad.  Hope all y'all's teams are doing well and will make it sweet by the Sunday night!

Good morning, Spies! Sounds like you're having a great time @PapaGoose8! I keep driving by the sign on the highway that says "Tobacco Road Golf Course 1 mile", but haven't gotten up the nerve for the Mike Strantz torture  experience. Maybe at some point I will.

Road trip ends today after one morning patient. It's expected to rain later, but fortunately I'll be gone before it does. I hate three-plus-hour drives back to the Casa in the rain. Interestingly, US 421 runs direct from Greensboro to within a few blocks of the Casa, but GPS never sends me that way. Probably too many stop lights and stuff. Maybe if I'm ever going direct from home, with no time pressure, to Greensboro I'll go up 421.

Lots of golf-related stuff has arrived in my absence: Clothing from 32 Degrees, my Rypstick, a couple of golf architecture books, and a new supply of dimpled orbs. May have to reconsider the orange balls though. You would think they would stand out on the ground from 200 yards but to these feeble eyes they don't. Maybe yellow or lime green next time.

Also GF promised me she would set up my garage sim in my absence after I left her a diagram of what I want where. We'll see if that happens. She has advised me that there will be some surprises in store for me that she has been working hard to provide.

Good chilly morning Spies! Woke up to another frosty morning in Maryland: a balmy 26 degrees at sunrise! It's going to be yet another turtleneck day for practice. The cruddy weather starts for us this evening: supposed to rain all day Saturday as well, so if I do get time to swing, (in between all the honey do list items) it will be at our local simulator it appears. 

Back to work and some English Breakfast tea.... have a great day Spies!

Happy Friday! Now that I’m retired TGIF just doesn’t have the same juice it once held. Sunny and in the teens in CNY this morning. My wife and I ventured out to dinner last night at one of our favorite spots for some pizza. Then ice cream for dessert. Which given that it was 18 degrees out with the wind chill, it may have been a questionable choice.

I have a 4.5 mile run on tap for today. Will bundle up for it. The presence of the sun will make it more palatable. I will leave you all with a bit of humor.

Good Morning everyone!  Looks like it will be cloudy all day but no rain and a decent 70º.  It’s been nice shutting the heat off and sleeping with the window open all week.  Today is cardiac rehab at 8am, followed by a Dr. visit for my wife, then mowing the lawn for the first time this year.

That's great! Speaking of Scottish signs, this is across the street from the 18th fairway of the Old Course. The rock in question is dangling on the chain on the right edge of the photo.

Afternoon all!

Went out for my first round of the year at the my li’l 9-hole x2. Fresh air! Golf was never meant to be played indoors.

At the 7th, I came across this gal grazing.

I walked up, gently ushered her away, and when I went back to my ball, she came back. We did this dance a couple times. Finally I just opted to hit wide right of her. The last thing I wanted to do was blade my ball her way.

Okay, gotta go. My wife and I are having a weekend getaway in downtown Copenhagen. Nothing special, just some quiet time together.

Yes - feeling a little more chipper today vs the past week or so. No - I'm not on anything  

So that crazy wind has died down here .. for the moment .. but still cold! 

But no wind/calm out on the water is nice and now thinking about doing a little stand-up paddling. Yeah that entails trying to pull on a lot of heavy neoprene to cover your body .. which is always a pain .. especially the gloves, can never find a pair that are warm and comfortable ... _and_ easy on/off...

See? Anything you wanna do is like golf - you can *always* blame the equipment

Haha anyway do hope this end of week day treats you well .. enjoy!!

@PapaGoose8 @Byrnzee enjoy Tobacco Road. I played it years ago and it was a blast. Very unique course.

Work day for me.  Rain moved in.  Supposed to be off and on all weekend and possibly next week too.  At least there is some March Madness to watch.  Date night with my wife tonight as the girls are going to my in-laws.  Weekend looks to consist of doing some work around the house on various projects before we have family come in next week. 

Update on my daughters calls for those that followed, they both went great.  The school closer to us is also a lot cheaper.  But it is her decision.  Luckily she should have scholarships to cover most if not all of her school.

Good morning,

I am very disappointed on the weather the last couple days here in MA, 30's overnight and low 40's and WINDY in the afternoon sooooo cold. Started the "SPRINTER" track season this week. Good turnout for Bellingham 51 boys 30 girls, and I am excited with the first time young TRACKSTERS!!!! Should be a really fun season. I hope to be able to play next week and hope we get back to the 60's soon!
