If I can't get my 3 wood game together soon, one of these in the 16* is probably going in the bag tbh.

I'll be curious to see how you guys like these

hit the 16* today at Roger Dunn really liked it, seriously considering grabbing one of these, I might try to crank it down to 15* and try it again to see if it's a viable option. Liked it better than hitting a 3 wood by far.

Been out a few times with mine since receiving it on Friday... Extremely happy with it so far. Tomorrow, I have a league match and will have my arccos going for the first time with it so I will share some more details... I doubt I will have a 3w again in my bag anytime soon.

I've been really interested in this. My bag is a mix of older clubs. I really like hitting irons and I'm struggling to learn my woods. I can hit a 5 and 7 wood okay, 3 wood is hard to get a clean hit. The price tag of this hybrid is intimidating, but if it does send it further than comparable lofted hybrids, it might really be worth it.

I got mine early and used it multiple rounds. I have the 2hy turned down to 15*. Never been a FW player and this club is definitely a 3w replacement if you prefer hybrids. Definitely higher launching than previous models.

I got the super hybrid in a 16 degree, cranked it down to 15 degrees. It hit well the couple times I used it. Hit a tree the second time so not able to judge the distance but felt good. The first time I got it out there about 235 yds. Not as far as 3 wood would go for me, but ill take the consistency over the distance any day. I am worried that my 4 wood (only use off the tee and fairway, so will be nice to use super hybrid out the rough) and the super hybrid go similar distances, about 230 yds for my 4 wood. I do need to take the super hybrid to the range and see if I can get it to 245-250 hopefully.

I have one on order (#2), it is another Hybrid hopeful experiment in a long line of hybrid experiments that never seem to stick for very long and I am back to FW's again.

But maybe this time with age taking its toll I will get along with it for more than 2 weeks.  Not being a long hitter of anything, if I can get 200 out of it and find it I would consider it a win.

I have been debating between a 5 wood or 2 hybrid and this club looks awesome. I like that you have the ability to adjust the lofts in clubs these days. Gives the bag some versatility depending on the course.

So I bought a used (relatively cheap) G430 Max 3w I found at Roger Dunn a few weeks ago to replace my Cobra LTDx LS head because I'm a glutton for punishment, and the Ping was the most forgiving 3 wood I had hit even if it wasn't the longest. Long story short as they were taking everything apart to do the transplant surgery they found a crack in the Ping head and had to send it back to Ping to get it replaced under warrantee. Turns out its gonna be like 4 - 6 weeks to turn all of that around, so I'm gonna wait patiently for that to come back and give it one more concerted effort to make that thing work...and if not I'll try the super hybrid.

The 2hy version gives you the option of 15-18* in loft amd a shorter shaft than a 5w for more control.

Here is a little update on mine. I am really unsure now that I have hit it a lot more. I think I like my 5W better to be honest.

I added my Arccos numbers to the post below. I don’t feel like I have as much control with the Super Hybrid still tinkering though

Some context with these numbers; the Super hybrid is mostly off the tee and the 5W is mostly off the deck. I would say it’s about 80/20 for both.

Yeah, I typically cut my woods down an inch for better controll. I like the versatility of the hybrids for sure.  Easier out of the rough.

I have had the #2 out a few times now turned down to 15* and it is a lot of fun, turned down it is a low rocket for me and as long as my previous 3 wood in carry and maybe a bit longer with roll out. This Sunday I am going to loft it up for a shorter Course and see if I can get some height on it, I also got a Paradym X #4 at the same time and it is a blast. Launches quite high off nearly any lie and has good distance.

I do believe I could have just got the lowest lofted X model and been just as happy with a few more dollars in my pocket, but with the trade bonus on the X both clubs with the GD HY75 Shaft cost me $25 and they have already processed the trade so a no brainer deal.

I have owned my Callaway Paradym Super Hybrid for a month (maybe just a bit more).  It is a 16* model, but I have had it set at 17* most of the time, and have used it for 3 of the last 5 competitive rounds that I have played, plus for a couple of practice rounds and range sessions. It is a "mixed bag" situation for me in that I get some decent results with it, but it is not as consistent for me as my Paradym X 18* #3 hybrid.  The Super Hybrid has a slight (but only VERY SLIGHT) edge off the tee, but the Paradym X #3 Hybrid is far better off the fairway and from light to medium rough.  I would not even consider using the Paradym Super Hybrid from the rough after some horrible results that I have gotten when using it from anything but a perfect lie in the fairways or off of the tee.

I am playing in the NJ State Senior Championship Finals on Tuesday, and the Paradym X #3 Hybrid is in the bag for my championship round, so I guess that says a lot about which of these clubs gives me greater confidence on a wider variety of shots from 200-215 yards.

DR - Callaway Paradym AI Smoke TD, Newton Motion 4-Dot

4W - Callaway Paradym 3HL, Newton Motion Fairway shaft, 4-Dot

HYB - Paradym X 18*, HZRDUS Smoke Red 80S; Sub 70 949X 21*, same shaft

7W (if played) - Sub 70 849, ProForce Black 80-S

Irons - Callaway Paradym, HZRDUS Silver Gen 4, S-flex

Wedges - Edison 2.0, 53* and 57* (bent to 58*), KBS TGI 100

Putter - (currently in flux, but usually an Evnroll 8V

Ball - Maxfli Tour-X CG (2023)

Bags - Ghost Golf Maverick Black Ops

Cart - MotoCaddy M7 Remote (without the remote)

Spoiler

driver / off the tee is no longer a weakness for me!

So what's the idea of the "super hybrid"?  Is this a bit like the jumbo 3w/driver concept... larger volume, more forgiving?
