Good Friday eve everyone!

Hope today was great for you all. Productive day today as I washed two loads of dishes, mopped the floor and completed all my taskers at work. Now I’m chilling like a villain watching the D-backs. No golf today, but I’m still working on my next subject for the members page. I’m hoping to have it done tomorrow and hope we can all gain something from. Anyway, hope you all enjoy the foolsball game tonight!

I did manage to squeeze out 9 holes on the par 3 course that just reopened.  45 minute round and only used 3 clubs +putter

 

Hey Rob or any Spies for that matter who work on or near courses. What seems to be the most effective way to stop those pesky moles/voles that make those gosh darn tunnels around the yard. Very seldom are there any little mounds so it's hard to determine what direction they may head next. Hoping for some ideas. Thanks All.

Just got home from the vet, our dog was acting super lethargic and not eating/drinking or going to the restroom so we took him in. Got blood work and some tests done, should know by Saturday but hopefully it's nothing major and he of course started acting more normal soon as we got there

Besides that, time to get ready for some football!! Enjoy your night spies

Good evening everyone. Seems like the short weeks during the school year are the longest. Still can’t believe it isn’t Friday yet, but it’s only one more wake up away. Girls finally got a win tonight so hopefully it’s something we can build on. Hope everyone has a great evening.

@Dweed, I live in a subdivision that backs-up to a course and is within a few blocks from my house.

Been here since late 2010, and when we first moved in some yards had evidence of moles and tunnels, similar to some on the course.

Course installed some of the electrical things shown in the link below, not sure of the brand, but once they were installed on the course and the areas of the subdivision where they were evidently seen, they have long since disappeared and not returned.

Course also put up some tall posts as mentioned in the link, and we do have both hawks and owls flying around, which also keeps them away.

Good evening Spies on what was a warm and sunny day here.

Managed to play with my retired military friends, had 10 play 18, and 3 more joined to play 9 after we made the turn.

Course is not long or difficult, so for me it is iron practice, and no score kept. More of a fun round, hanging out with some friends.

Rain moving in later tonight, and hopefully not all day tomorrow, but big drop in temperatures for Saturday. High of upper 50's to maybe 60.

Good evening all.   It's beautiful outside and the courses are empty, but I've chosen to go outside as little as possible since Tuesday since it's hot even by Sam Fernando Valley standards.   

Weather should break by Sunday, but until then this is what we're looking at.

@Dweed. I believe our over abundance of slithering and flying creatures has kept them at bay at the course i work at. In 8 months ive not seen a single mole hole.

Or maybe they went to "Carl Spackler's school of vermin eradication " ?

 

For me personally,  I've used a mix of flower fertilizer and diesel. Pour about 8oz down the holes I find.

Made it out again to the newly renovated par3 course where I work. Played absolutely horrible!  But had some fun too! Franken-cart V2.0 had it's maiden voyage too! (Postee in the Franken-cart thread)

It feels like death in Long Beach. I can only imagine how it is in the SFV! No thank you.

It's a dry heat.    Sort of like when you open an oven and it blasts you in the face.

I know the feeling all too well. I lived in North Hollywood for two years and while I miss the area, I don't miss those 105°+ temps. Burbank has Porto's was my only excuse for going back before

Watching game 2 of the NFL season. I kind of like the new kick off rule. I just observed a first. Both teams flagged for 12 men on the field on the same play. And a funny find on Threads. A new take on cheesehead.

Good evening Spies on what was a complete bust for a Friday here.

Rain last night and part of the early morning, then dark gray clouds and light drizzle off and on majority of the day with highs in the mid 60's.

Cooler forecast for tomorrow, so more than likely will just be working on some things around the house indoors. Supposed to set record low temperature tonight? Low to mid 40's. 

Sunday looks like we start to warm-up again, and SWMBO has a baby shower to attend, so I may get a few hours to go to the range and practice putting green.

@Dweed I try to play during the week, as they seem to double the rates on the weekends here, will be that way through the end of the month.

Hope all here have a great weekend, if they don't stop back here the next few days.

Evening spies! Got in 27 for my 97th official round of the season, unofficially about 120 rounds. Shot well, but no damn birdies! Had a lot of fun though, only four bogies on one nine, four on the second, and zero on the third. Oh and found a funny for ya! And tried a new ball!

Good evening Spies on a Saturday where I managed to get a lot of things done around the house, as golf was not in the cards due to less-than-ideal weather conditions.

A little rain early this morning, then mostly cloudy, windy and damp with a high of a whopping 59 degrees at 6:00PM once the clouds broke a little and the sun shined through.

Planning to get some range time in tomorrow, and practice putting at the course near the house later in the day. Weather looks to be better, supposedly high 60's and sunny.

Hoping to get 3 or 4 rounds in during the week next week, I really would like to get 30+ rounds in with the MotoCaddy this year.

Only those who work weekends and have weekdays off would wish something like this. 

Be thankful that you get days off to get out and play.

At times during my working career, there were times we worked every day for a few months, due to lack of people wanting to work off shifts or weekends.

Good evening Spies. 
After some Dad taxi duties earlier, I took my son to the range for the first time! We have done top golf as a family but this was a fun first and he LOVED it. Seeing his face light up when he launched a PW was priceless! He’s 13, but tall (5’9”) with decent hand-eye coordination. I’m  hoping the desire to improve and play continues…

 

It was nice to have time to continue testing out the new Ai Smoke TDM. I explored off center hits to see how badly it misses. No massive low spin duck hook off the toe like the Rogue ST Max LS… so far!!

Currently set to -1* (8*) neutral to try to bring spin down (after a sim session yesterday). Very few draws/pulls. Mostly fade with some straight. A few slices, but that was either ‘exploring heel strikes’ or just crappy face control. 
I must say, so far I’m loving this driver!
