Hello from Tour Impact Golf

Recommended Posts

Thanks for accepting us to the  Mygolfspy community. We are the inventors of the TI, a golf training club that alows golfers to copy the Tempo and Rhythm of professional golfers.

My sons and I have worked on this over 7 years and have finally finished making a first manufacturing run. Please ask me anything you would like to know, from conceiving, inventing, patenting, starting a biz, and any of the other 870 things we needed to do.

Regards... Craig

Hi Craig,

Aside from the tone being in the head of the club (rather than on an app) I don't see how this is different from Tour Tempo. Don't get me wrong, I think practice with the correct tempo is fantastic and I use the Tour Tempo products a lot at the range (and sometimes when I'm playing).

I understand that the sensor means that the tone starts whenever you're ready, but I do have a couple of questions:

  • I have a waggle before I swing - would this set off the sensor to start the tone?
  • How loud is this? If I was in the stall next to someone using this would I be able to hear it cos I think that could be a problem.

I hope I'm not coming across as negative, I do wish you all the best, but these are some significant concerns I'd have - especially for a training aid with a pricetag of $149.99.

Hello Brad,  and thank you for the questions.

Q1)  The Ti does sense the waggle and we encourage performing the waggle in the same tempo and rhythm as the full swing.  This adds another dynamic dimension to the often underated waggle.

Q2) It is loud enough that the person's directly next to you would hear it.  Being courtious and alternating your swing with the golfers right next to you takes care of that.

Since the sound emits from the head you can hear and feel where the swing is, as opposed to a beeping from a device not physically linked to the performance of the swing.  Pretty much a night and day difference.  We have "drills video" in final edit that will be added to our site very soon that demonstrates what I'm saying.

Thanks for taking the time to look,

Kind Regards ..Craig

Thanks Craig, I was going to suggest posting a video of it being used in here - sounds like you are onto it already.

I have to say as well, this must have been such a great project for you and your sons to do together - a lot of the father-son 'physical creation' seems to have been lost in recent times so kudos to you and your sons for prioritizing this!

All the best

Hi Brad,   Thank you for the kind words,  you are indeed correct on how rewarding this project has been... I'm a fortunate man.

Our drill video is up on our site and can also be seen here.  http://www.swingti.com/the-ti/

Sincerely ,  Craig
