So I just bought a new Class D 5 M3a-2000-5 Five Channel D-Sonic Amplifier. I was considering the Legacy i-V5 but at $7,000 I am not willing to pay more than twice as much for a small improvement in sound. After talking with the owner at D-Sonic I feel pretty confident this amp is exactly what I am looking for. Not gonna match my 2 Ayre V3's that were $3200 each for a warm and pure sound but they ran extremely hot and while they were great winter amps in Chicago and actually allowed me to close the heat vents in my media room, the last thing I need in Phoenix are 2 space heaters running 24/7. ... Well that is a bummer. Thankfully my ex was all in on my audiophile journey, as long as I didn't involve her in any decisions. Sound bars are certainly better than TV speakers but after 5 speakers and a sub I would be looking for a 2nd opinion. I hadn't watched The Dark Knight in probably 5 years and a friend wanted to watch it on my system last weekend.
