Finally replaced my Taylormade M5 10.5 with a........Taylormade M5 10.5. I cant get away from this driver, easily the best thing thats been in my bag and I have tried the newer equipment but the sweet pop of the M5 keeps me coming back.

I finally broke down and purchased my first hybrid. Since the Callaway Apex Pro is down to $150 brand new, I went ahead and purchased the 2H and 3H. I am a big fan of mid sized grips so I immediately re-gripped win Winn Dritac 2.0 midsize. Can't wait to hit this club on Friday!

My current Purdue cart bag has a nice lean to it now, likely due to it's less than strong structural construction. So I decided to go on the hunt for a second bag to have as well. I wanted something a bit more patriotic and I am in the process of building a set of clubs with red/white/blue ferrules and grips. So that was my mission.

Mission accomplished. I found a 2019 Sun Mountain C-130 in the R/W/B theme on sale from Carl's Golf Land and it just arrived.

I had too much time to kill at PGA superstore while my wife was with daughter picking out wedding dresses!    I hit the Tour Edge C722 hybrid and E722 hybrid.    C722 in 21 degree.   E722 in 19 degree.

 

I hit thirty plus balls with each.   C is much more demanding, yet came out on top.    C had the KBS 80 shaft.   E had the stock Ventus blue.    I am looking forward to putting into the bag this weekend for a few rounds to see how it fits into play.

They are local to me, and for the price they had that bag at when comparing it to the newer models which were $110.00 more it was a GREAT DEAL.

That's exactly why I bought it. I was shocked at the price for a new C-130 in the RWB color scheme, regardless of its model year.

New stand bag. Cobra Ultralite. Had to use some pro shop credit. $70 out of pocket. Really happy with the colour. Won’t be getting a lot of use, mainly on holidays to fit in the car more easily.

I just picked up 3 Titleist wedges 50,54,58 degree for $100.  Had been looking for a 50 but the deal was too good to pass up. 54 has a little wear but I already have a 54 in great shape.

PXG 0311p 5-G with mitsubishi mmt graphite shafts 

So it seems that the 0311p shafts weren't right for me. Loved the heads but reshafting would have been an extra 100, at least.
So - I had one more exchange I could make and found what seemed to be a diamond in the rough.
I was demoing these XXIO X (4-G) and then going to some other clubs - Mizuno, Cobra, TM, etc. - but kept coming back to these because the weight just felt ...right...

I couldn't figure it out but after some research found out that the clubs are counterbalanced! That's what the special "made for" grips and shafts are all about.

I had a bunch of extra $ leftover when I swapped the PXG so I found a mint condition Ping G 3w and TE hybrid for 99 each. I'm not sure either of these have seen a course. My set came with a 4i so I can swap the TE and that out depending on conditions.

  

I was particularly impressed with the Ping G - even mishits weren't punished and the ball was relatively straight.
Looking forward to getting these out on the course!

It arrived!!

the shaft is shorter then standard so it will play 44.5 instead of the 45.25. But that could be a blessing in disguise as my normal miss is to get stuck and leave the face open and have told myself multiple times I should try shorter and just always forget. Now to get some time to test it and give the 5LS a second shot at the bag over the current 7 MK2. I felt the 5LS could get a little too low if I was to shut the face a little and I really love having the extra options in the movable weights in the 7. But maybe the 5LS will be a better match with this shaft. But we shall see.

Hey all!  It’s been a hot minute since I’ve had the pleasure of posting here, but I’ll jump right to the punch line, new wedges! MG3s are feeling right at home next to the milled SMS Pros. 
 

They’ll get thrown right into the fire (or well rain from the looks of it) tomorrow AM!

 

And with that purchase I now have only 1 club left from my #CC4 set (my 5-wood) and currently have 6 different brands in the bag. That’s certainly the most I’ve ever had.

Love the MG3’s! I’ve had a 54 & 58 in the bag for almost a year now. Thinking about replacing my Vokey 50 with a MG4 50 to complete the set. Enjoy!

... The MG3's are the best wedges I have played. That isn't hype or honeymoon talk, just crazy good wedges. They look prefect to my eye at address and that is very important with a wedge imo. When I was playing the Forged Tec's I replaced the set Pw with a MG3 46*.  Feel is excellent and performance is just so very consistent. I put some SB wedges in my bag for several weeks and to say I missed my MG3's would be the understatement of the year. I'd wish you luck with yours, but you won't need it!

Been thinking of putter a bunch and with the upcoming fitting tomorrow has got me thinking but thought it didn’t fit perfectly here so started a new thread. But wanted to share here to hopefully bring some more eyes to it. Interested in other thoughts.

The most recent long brown box that arrived on my doorstep was carrying these:

 

 

Did I need them?  Nope.  Did I want them?  Kinda.  Did I mistakenly set my max bid too high?  Yup.  Will I keep them?  Probably not.  But we'll see.  They're dirty and have a little bag chatter, but they're in otherwise good shape and the grips are decent.  I'll clean 'em up a bit and they'll make a nice set for someone.  

When I bid on them, I figured I'd do new paintfill to get rid of the yellow, but the yellow isn't engraved in.  It's raised, almost like embossing or a sticker.
