Just bought new wedges. My last round I did nothing but chunk my wedges. Obviously a problem with my wedges and not me. Went to PGA SS and they had the 2014 Nike wedge brand new for 50 bucks. Traded in the Clevelands and they ended up being 40 bucks a pop

Got the shafts ordered for the 4 hybrids... And bought a set of iron shafts for the next iron set.

 

PXi parallel tour only for the Pro Minis

PX LZ shafts for the dHy's

 

Oh and a set of black onyx tour only DG Tour Issues in 3-pw.... I may have a problem lol

One of those shafts which cost 380 on the Golfworks site? I've always wondered what kind of improvements I would gain with a very expensive shaft like that.

That's the one.  Didn't buy it new and paid nowhere near that much for it though.

Not to shock everyonwe, but I plurged and bought a used 913 D3 8.5 head off ebay for 125 and got a UST Proforce AXIVCore Tour Black 77 grams from Golfworks for 70 and I got it pured for 15.

I am experimenting with a heavier shaft. I've played AXIVCore Tour Black before and I like it as it seems to tame my hook.

Yep, Graphite Designs shafts are waaaaaaaaay overpriced at GolfWorks and the like.  I can get them a whole lot cheaper from some other folks... Thinking about getting an account with them (if they still do accounts here in the states, I haven't looked in a while).  I've got an account with a few others...

Driving home from golf this afternoon and I stumbled upon a Play It Again Sports that I never knew was near my house. Picked up an Odyssey 2 Ball for my son for $30. I told my wife I would not buy any clubs for me for awhile, but my children may be getting some upgrades.

Two Ball Oddessey putters are hard to find, especially at that price.  Good find! I still have mine as a backup.

After playing the MP54S for 5 weeks, and only having one decent GIR round, I took them to GolfSmith and got 50% over the normal trade-in value. After hitting a number of club/shaft combos, including Apex, MP15s, JPX 850 Forged, and Cobra Forged Tec, I swallowed my pride and got GI irons: Cobra King F6. They were just so forgiving on mishits. They just exude confidence. Something the players clubs didn't do for me.  I just want to hit good shots, not impress people with my sticks. F6 went further and straight er on mishits, and I was able to even hit a fade, something which is next to impossible for me. Unfortunately they have to ship in the clubs from another store, so I went ahead and asked them to regrip them in Midsize New Decade. Should be ready tomorrow.

It's all about the scores, you chose wisely.  I really want to try the new Mizuno Mp-5 and MP-25, but know my game ( and my wallet for that matter) is not in any condition to try something less forgiving than my current GIs, but you gotta go with what works. My last instructor told me "Golf is not a game of perfection, it is one of confidence." Plus those King F6s are pretty damn sweet

today I impulsed a SLDR fairway ($57 shipped from 3balls.com) to go with the new SLDR hybrids from two weeks ago and rediscovered SLDR driver from the garage. Stupid long. Redonk-u-long

Keep your eye on the GBB 816 alpha DBD, it is way better than the the original you have there. I don't like the original alpha, but the DBD is really good.

Mine is still in the bag, and I don't know if anything will ever beat it. The crazy part for me is as my swing gets better it just gets longer

The 815 line is killer compared to the original Alpha, which was not a bad stick in its own right. I never got along well with the original but put the 815 in today and it was point and shoot.

Keep your eye on the GBB 816 alpha DBD, it is way better than the the original you have there. I don't like the original alpha, but the DBD is really good.

Liked the looks of the 816 DBD but the performance for me was in the 815. Great launch low spin and forgiving as my wife is when I buy too much golf stuff. Ball flight is a tad higher than I would like but very playable into the wind which is a big must for me.
