I'll be teeing it up sometime today with my wife and a friend of hers who usually plays in tournaments with her. Those girls are good and I enjoy watching them battle it out. KellyBo whupped her last time with an 80 to Melanie's 91. Melanie hit the ball really well that day however she had some really crappy breaks that led to a couple triples and double bogies. She played most of the holes really well. Those girls play it down and putt every putt out in their league.

 

I played well Thursday with an 38 /42 so maybe I can hang with those gals today. :D

Don't expect any "gimmies" from that group

Old home, family, Packer weekend coming up.  Playing tomorrow at TPC Valley (reopened today after being Irma'd).  Then stopping at home to pick up luggage and say goodbye to the wife (she's working this weekend) and heading to the airport to Milwaukee.  Joining my son, his fiancee and her mother (avid Bengals fans) for the Packer/Bengals game at Lambeau on Sunday.  My son and I are playing golf at the Bog north of Milwaukee (an Arnold Palmer design) on Saturday after I pick them up at the airport. Great thing is, the temperatures are going to be Jacksonville temperatures all weekend (high 80's).  Sweet!  Don't have to pack the sweatshirts!

Nonchalant putts count the same as chalant putts.

I’m on a mission to shoot my age - lifetime lowest round is 66 and I’m currently 67.

Have fun - I'm not a fan of the Bog - why not Black Wolf Run? :). I'm a huge fan of spending time on the course with a son. Sounds great. We will be watching the game.

Timing mostly.  Their flight lands in about an hour and we wouldn't be able to get them settled and then drive up to the course much before 2.  Then you start to worry about dark.  Then there's the fact that it'll be about $400 cheaper for the two of us to play the Bog.  I enjoy that course.

We really enjoy it. It's all about having fun. The balls are like hitting rocks but very easy to see. We played all par 3's. We knew from years past that the balls fly about one club less, but who really cares. We played in an 8 some and really had a blast. It was fun to see how well some hit the ball when you can't see hazards.

Got our round in at the Bog yesterday.  It was as hot in northern Milwaukee as it was Friday for our round in Jax on Friday.  90 degrees and just a slight breeze.  I was comfortable but my son and the other players were wussies!  Same temp expected for the Packer game today!

 

I had my usual game I have been suffering from lately.  Start out great, lose the rhythm, then finish strong.  Had four double and a triple mid-round, followed by parring 4 in a row.  The Bog was in great shape. It was very enjoyable hitting off of bent grass fairways and non-bermuda rough.  I'm sure my handicap would be at least a shot lower if I were to move back north.  

Nonchalant putts count the same as chalant putts.

Yea!! Tomorrow 1st time playing since B4 Hurricane Irma. Courses have been closed due to the 13"-15" rain from Irma and the 5" rain just B4 the storm.

Got our round in at the Bog yesterday. It was as hot in northern Milwaukee as it was Friday for our round in Jax on Friday. 90 degrees and just a slight breeze. I was comfortable but my son and the other players were wussies! Same temp expected for the Packer game today!

 

I had my usual game I have been suffering from lately. Start out great, lose the rhythm, then finish strong. Had four double and a triple mid-round, followed by parring 4 in a row. The Bog was in great shape. It was very enjoyable hitting off of bent grass fairways and non-bermuda rough. I'm sure my handicap would be at least a shot lower if I were to move back north.

Make it 2 if you played Innisbrook. I was stunned by the elevation changes. And it has the rough.

Ball: Titleist Pro VI or Callaway Chrome Soft X ls

 

While not at the same time I was fit for every club in my bag as well as the Pro VI ball. I use the chrome soft x ls on my league course.  It has much softer softer greens than the club that I belong to. 

I’m on a mission to shoot my age - lifetime lowest round is 66 and I’m currently 67.
