Since I started on the whole get fit for 18 thing (by fit I mean fitting into a size M Polo) I've noticed a few things. One, I'm full of energy almost all day, “the kids” at work can't keep up with me. Two, I've increased my mobility, flexibility, and power. Three, I hit the golf ball a long ways further than I was last year.

I'm not doing anything involving weights, all Bodyweight stuff.

Run

Push ups

Sit ups

Dips

Row

*Edit: forgot pull ups

HUGE difference in only 6 weeks. I'm down 7 pounds which for me is a lot since I'm a twig, but if you're thinking about jumping on the bandwagon it is well worth it!

Good for you - just think how much better you'll feel in 3, 6,12 months.

Well, I finished up May with 40.22 miles. Next month's goal is 60.

I have a better plan for June. Should be fun. I found a few 5k's to run in. And I'm starting the half marathon training.

Great inspiration for us all. You can be the official MGS physical trainer.

Today was my last day at my current job. Start something new on Monday. It's bittersweet because there was nothing wrong where I was but the new opportunity is just that good. Everyone on the team had lots of nice things to say and I'm actually going to miss them after working together for the past 3 years.

Onward and upward. The new position will be the same industry, same discipline, new platform, new requirements, and should blaze a path to a big time position. I'm excited but also nervous because I feel the need to prove my worth jumping into this team.

Happy happy happy.

On my way to Philly today from the Catskills for a memorial service (not the happy part) I passed through the Pocono Mountains. Stopped at a place where my Dad built most of the homes in the area while I worked for him. Brought back a lot of food memories and I may have had a good cry, but overall happy to see what we built is still there. Turning wrenches and pounding nails gave me a work ethic that I could never replace and a home I could have gone back to. I chose a different path all because of the man that put that work ethic into me.

All original 71 Vette with 31k miles. Tried buying it for cash on the spot and unfortunately it was not for sale. Still was a blast to drive.
