Shark Experience - is it for you?

Recommended Posts

I did a search here in the forum and on google for the Shark Experience but didn't find anything posted here yet. I suppose this is Norman's big game changer we've heard about. I'm sorry but I can't post a link on this computer I'm using here at the office. Might be the browser or security.

If you go to Global Golf Post it's in the issue I received today online. If anyone can post a link it'd be useful.

I have mixed opinion about it. I'm old school and don't get into entertainment such as music and social media on the course. If our club were to get carts with this technology available I wouldn't pay extra for it. What about you guys?

Sort of defeats the purpose of getting away from technology for a few hours, enjoying nature and the game of golf IMHO.  Also seems like another way to slow down the game.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

TPC San Antonio has him on their GPS system for hole description, after a couple of holes, I want to stab my sand wedge through the screen.  I can only imagine ........

I think it looks like a lot of fun. Don't think I would want to play with this everyday but during a scramble or with a few groups just looking to knock it around and have a few adult beverages don't see any issues

Ok- the shot tracer would be pretty cool, but as for the rest? I play golf to get away from constant overstimulation...

I agree. I play golf to get away from the 'real world' especially commercials. Additionally I don't want distractions as I think about my next shot. I do play music when I play alone but it's not visually distracting.

Thanks for the post! I missed that article. I have used the cart based gps units for several rounds and like being able to see distances as well as keep my score. I doubt I would pay an up charge to use the services, but the option isn't bad.
