Wow! Ping ISI Refinish!

So you might have seen my other posts about my old Ping ISI irons. I had planned on having them refinished by Ping for a few years now but kept putting it off. A few weeks ago I bought the matching SW and SW3 irons for my set but they were the wrong color code and a bit rougher condition. I sent the two wedges off to Ping to have them adjusted to green dot and the heads retumbled. Then I thought why not send the whole set in to Ping and get the Guyson finish applied to them. I’d seen them done before and looked really great so I contacted Ping, told them I was shipping the rest of the set and wanted them all done in Guyson.

 

Here is how they looked before I sent them out. Not bad at all, which speaks of the durability of the original Ping stainless steel heads.

 

 

 

 

Shipped them out last Monday and they contacted me Wednesday afternoon to let me know they arrived and to go over my refinish specs. Guyson finish, green dot lie, black paintfill, new JZ Stiff shaft bands.

 

Well, by this past Monday they finished and were already shipped back to me and arrived today. I opened the box and was blown away!

 

 

 

 

 

These things look better than they did when they were brand new! I am so happy I decided to go all in and get the entire set refinished. The best part, Ping charges only $17.75 a club for refinishing. I had a set of 12 irons and wedges refinished and shipped back to me for a total of $228!

 

If anyone is thinking of resurrecting an old set of Ping Eye 2’s, Zing’s, or ISI’s, I highly recommend it. I feel like I got a brand new set of irons.

 

Gonna take them on their maiden round on Saturday if my patio project finishes Friday as planned!

Wow! Nice! I sent my Dad’s Anser to them for refinishing last year. It had a nice patina on it, but I wanted to see what it looked like when new. They did amazing work! Re-shaft, new grip, and the finish of the head were all done. They do great work!
