Yep, especially with putters. One bad round, and a replacement should be considered 🤣

That's probably true.  From what I've read on the forum, if some of us have a few bad rounds in a row, we think that our current equipment has all of a sudden stopped working.  😆

Amen to all of this!!  You need to keep the replacements in full view of the gamers just so they feel the pressure to not misbehave.

I don't know that I have ever had a BAD round with my current putter.  Maybe my expectations of putting are different.  I've had really good rounds, and what I think are about average rounds with my putter; maybe an occasional round that was below what I usually have, but not enough to make me want to trade it out.  I don't have anything to swap into play anyway.

... I let my Titleist T100-S see the email from Cobra saying a shaft is on back order for the King Tour MIM irons but they will be arriving in AZ soon after I get there. So the T100-S will have several rounds to make sure the new guys have their work cut out for them. 🤪

That makes logical sense to me. I think some of us on the forum have this idea that if we improve our swing, our current equipment will all of a sudden stop working (maybe not that dramatic, but you get the idea).

I’ve been fit anywhere from 1* up from Mizuno to 2* down from them in various brands. Most recently I was into black dot for ping and standard for pxg which iirc are working .5* of each other. I prefer to have all my iron sets 1-2* flat to help take the left side of the course out of play
