Any idea what causes this to happen? I see this in various spots across the forum from time to time and was wondering why. When you click on any of the threads none of them ever work.

Most likely the posts were by a spammer and were deleted but the topic heading was still lingering like a bad fart.

No, the issue, when this happens, is virtually always that the user is trying to post through the MGS Forum app, which was designed for an earlier version of the Forum and is now out of date. Development is ongoing for a replacement, but it absolutely frustrates a lot of users (particularly new users) when they're trying to post and it just won't work.
