Popular Post Shankster
Well everyone, I have decided to hang up the sticks for the foreseeable future. Injuries are plaguing me pretty bad with golf related movements. I can’t even pick up a club with my right arm right now. I have zero interest in returning at this point either. My wife and I planning our next few yes out, and having a functional arm is important for those plans. This one is for real this time, I’ll be around every once and a while, but this is long overdue. I hope you all have a great year, hole in one wishes for everyone. Kenny B
Sad news! I know the feeling on long, nagging injuries, but don't completely write it off. Get the shoulder checked out, give it some rest, and don't play until you feel like it. tommc23, JohnSmalls, PMookie and 2 others 5 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Shapotomous
I completely understand the unfortunate position you find yourself and it's not a fun spot to be in. About 20 years ago now I quit playing due to severe right elbow / wrist pain. I'd play maybe twice a year in a scramble fundraiser and wouldn't play every shot in those. I even had tried changing my swing from taking divots to sweeping every shot but it didn't help and I played worse and had no fun playing like that even if i got past the pain. That lasted for about 5 years and I noticed in one of those scrambles the pain was missing. Gradually started playing again expecting the pain to come back but it hasn't so far. Don't give up hope, it might be a hiatus rather than a retirement & maybe you'll be as lucky as I was / am and will be able to return to the game sometime down the road. sirchunksalot and MattF 2 Quote Modern Bag: G410 LST 10.5*, Hzrdus Smoke RDX 6.5 Flex; 915F 3w, Diamana S+ 70 S flex; Mavrik 18* 5w; JPX 919 HM Pro 4i; JPX 900 Forged 5 - PW, PX LZ 6.0; Edison 2.0 49*, 53*, 57* KBS Tour 120 S; Heppler Fetch; Ball - MTB-X; Bag - Jones MyGolfSpy Edition! Tom the Golf Nut
I hope your injuries heal up quickly. I've been there. Tourn rotator cuff twice in left shoulder and once in the right. Also had golfers elbow on the left side. Luckily all healed themselves over time. No surgeries. The key is to give it time. Also I would down load exercises related to your injuries and do them religiously. I went to a physical therapist for an initial visit on the first rotator cuff injury. They gave me the exercise sheets and I did it all myself. It took a couple months for each to heal. Don't give up on golf. But definitely take some time off to let things heal properly. sirchunksalot 1 Quote Driver, TSi 1 S Flex 3 wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 5 wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 7 Wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 5 Hybrid King Tec MMT R Flex Irons, Vice VGI01 Mitsubishi Wiz 60-gram regular flex (6 - PW) VGW01, 50 Degree.
