Popular Post johngschulz
Morning all ️ I recently created a fantasy golf league for my friends and family that’s going pretty well. It’s pretty low stakes $20 winner takes all, but hoping to get people involved in side action during majors. Since I’m the commish, I decided to get ESPN+ to keep an eye on the tournaments. I usually work from home so I’ll be watching the Genisis today while I get my work done going into the weekend. Aubs
I've found that the old method of simply blasting balls as hard as you can 3 times a week will do more than speed training by itself. I tried Stack System and really didn't make much progress, but I have friends that got really good results. Just for pure speed, swing fast and swing often. Attached is a screen cap of the best from a session I had 3 days ago. This is with a 48" driver though and I am 56 years old. It's not straight, but I was only focused on speed. Popular Post cnosil
Went out with the family and some friends last night for dinner and trivia night; was pretty sore when I got home. Post surgery follow up appointment this morning. Can drive again, still no lifting anything over 10 pounds for another month and I can start golf swing in 6 more weeks! That should give me enough time to get my swing back before the Kingsmill outing. Looking forward to the community call this afternoon! Popular Post ZoonORama
Afternoon everyone! So, I had a conversation with my CEO yesterday. He wants to promote me to a position that is pivotal to the success of the company. Basically in charge of a team of folks responsible for the delivery of our services and solutions. The funny part of the story is, I actually hesitated (probably longer than I should have), not because I was worried about the added responsibility or pressure, but because it could cut into my ability to play golf this year . At least I have my priorities in order…. then work. Hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday. My wife and I went to the mall yesterday evening because I needed a new pair of shoes. We stopped for a nice dinner and then went home. I unpacked the shoes and thought I would wear them today to break them in. Got up this morning, got dressed and went to put on the shoes. Left one, felt great. Right one….hmmmm. My foot seemed to have become swollen - like a LOT. So, now I am kinda panicking like maybe I had an issue. Then I looked in the shoe - 8 1/2. Should be a 10. The clerk apparently put the display rack shoe in the box instead of the ones I tried on. I was a little put out but also VERY relieved I didn’t have swollen feet. Hope everyone has an awesome tomorrow! (since this post is soooo late). Popular Post Dead Solid Bogey
7 hours ago, Jim Shaw said: Good morning spy's A tough day on the links yesterday. i am striking the ball probably the best I have in the past 10 years, The weather and golf course have been spectacular for February, (the greens were running 11.2 and smooth yesterday) The tough part was I got really agitated with 2 of my playing partners yesterday. Wednesday is a mixed draw and seniors day, we all put in 10$ then there is a payout for golfers that get the most stable ford points over their base points, KP's and deuces. For me, the only reason I play is to get to know all the seniors that play regularly and I normally don't get to play with, and most of the time it works great and I have met lots of nice golfers and built relationships with them. Yesterday two of the players were "doodlers" and took copious amounts of (what I thought) were pre shot routines way above their skill level. Sort of like they are taking their perception of the play book from the elite pga golfers and bringing it to a 15 handicap senior golfer at a semi private golf course. Usually 1 golfer in the group is ok but 2 I guess that is too much for me. My takeaway is either I have to quit seniors day or take this as a learning opportunity and work on breathing techniques or something that will help me get over it. Probably the latter as I don't really want to quit. It is only 1 day a week and I don't play the spring/summer part of it as I play inter club and tournaments. Anyway have a great day spies and if you read this, thanks, I am venting a bit... I have done a 180° on this. I am playing at a slower pace. I volunteer to be in last group of our weekday outings. I am seemingly playing better, less stressed, and significantly less mental fatigue. There are usually only 2-4 groups of us ( threesomes and foursomes). Being last has added anywhere from 15 mins. to close to a hour to the round. We /I are fortunate in that the really slow dew sweeping walkers start a couple of hours ahead of us and the young big money lads start a couple of hours behind us. While we get priority for tee times, we try to remember the make-up of the other club members. sirchunksalot, Cfhandyman, Jim Shaw and 7 others

My takeaway is either I have to quit seniors day or take this as a learning opportunity and work on breathing techniques or something that will help me get over it. Probably the latter as I don't really want to quit. Completely understand the frustration! Growing up and learning to play golf in England in the 80s & 90s, it was drilled into me to strictly play in order of who is furthest from the pin no matter what, but I was always ready to play quicker than a lot of playing partners and often frustrated at pace of play. Since returning to golf 2 years ago, I've been trying to get into the habit of playing ready golf and have gradually cut down my pre-shot routine to a bare minimum. I've really noticed slow players and those that take a dozen practice swings and are indecisive and it does frustrate me. Fortunately it's rarely more than one person in the group. One regular playing partner must be knackered at the end of playing 18 as he must do at least 5-7 full speed practice swings and triple checks alignment etc before each shot.lol Good luck figuring out how to not let it get to you! After a lot of years doing long solo bike rides, motorbike tours and hikes, I'm quite happy going into my own head and ignoring the slow play. Probably why I enjoy solo rounds and solo sim sessions so much. Ha ha. Rob Person, Cfhandyman, Woodrow72 and 4 others 7 Quote 2024 WITB: Driver: Ai Smoke MAX 9* w. Popular Post Josh Parker
Good Friday morning! It's been a busy week but productive. Have an early meeting this morning, then a final walk on a clients new home and then some golf planned out for this afternoon. We decided to get a hot tub that is the size of a swim spa so the kids can splash around and the adults can relax. The backyard transformation has started and we set all the post to extend the fence yesterday and this weekend will be getting the pickets up (minus one section) and ready for delivery next week. Next project is converting a window to a door and then the covered patio extension that will meet up with the hot tub.
