  Sounds like you don't practice speed.  How consistent is your putting rhythm and tempo?  When standing over a 20 footer how do assess/dial the putt?   Sounds like you don't trust your feels about speed.

Morning from Sydney all, 

I turn 40 today so have taken the afternoon off for a round of golf to get out and celebrate before the kids get out of school. My brother dropped off some Pro V1s with 84 on them as a present so will have to use them (fingers crossed for no lost balls!).

Range day went off without a hitch and no issues. Very thankful for that. Now to go eat with the wife for V-Day

All righty then a lot of mishmash to unload.  
   First, instead of doing medical late yesterday afternoon and then again this morning. I was rescheduled yesterday morning to everything being done today. Being ever vigilant for an opportunity to get to play golf, I managed to make the Ancient Ager tee time. My diligence was rewarded with my second consecutive round of shooting below 80, shot 75.  The weekend rounds had, had  tournament formats of Shamble and Scramble. The 75 was the second closest that I have gotten to shooting my age. Again, I shout the praises of senior tees. 
 After golf, went to bed real early,  even early for the elderly. This aided us in leaving the house  at O’Dark Thirty to get to the morning medical appointments. The morning’s appointment was not to dramatic. The consultation on my hands and wrists were confirmation for what  the first Medicio had diagnosed. Since, there  has not been a marked increase in pain, it was decided to adjust the treatment protocol that I have been following. Second round of medical appointments was a tad more exciting… Good news is  all the biopsies were negative. Blood work still wonky. Going to try some different Rx’s ( was warned that there is a good chance of “ POWER PUKING “ happening and having to change course again on the Rx’s ) Have a couple of more tests and exams  late next week and we go from there. Sooo…NO, hard answers on the loss of strength and stamina. I am not dying, at least seemingly not immediately. Will just do whatever one else does; keep, keeping on. 
  Since it is Valentine’s Day and the wife-person was confronted with the prospect of me being around awhile longer, I tried to ease that setback of me still being around by getting her a real adult gift… After opening the gift, she double checked the card to see who it was from, then asked if I was alright….. PRICELESS. I said she deserved it and thanked her for the new golf bag that I had gotten earlier. 
  Headed back home. Tomorrow will be a day of new drugs and depending on the drug reaction…. GOLF   
   My apologies for the novel. May all of you win your heart's desire this Valentine’s Day.

I’m in the clear here, as well. My Danish wife was concerned that, being an American, I would care about Valentine’s Day. It’s nice to be in a country that doesn’t bother with that holiday.

Good morning everyone and happy community call day!

It's a nice morning here and it's always good to know the work week is finally almost over. I think it's supposed to be a bit cooler this weekend, but at least it'll be the weekend. I'm hoping to go into work and find out we aren't working Saturday. My job loves making us wait and sometimes I feel like I'm part of a social and psychological experiment. 

@Dead Solid Bogey I'm glad the news is all well on the health front and hope they can figure out the reason for the lack of energy.

I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Dayn and you got to spend significant time with your better halves.

@Dead Solid Bogey glad that things are looking better for you, or at least under some control.

Just another normal workday for me, a few meetings I present data and charts at, and more part analysis.

Uncertain if I can get it all done, so I may have to also go in tomorrow.

Supposed to be a wet, snow turning to rain day today, I left early enough to go in to miss it, and hope it is warmer later where the roads will just be wet.

Hope your day is the best it possibly can be, and that something enjoyable is in your plans.

Good morning spies and happy Thursday!! Temps are staying in the 30s today and it’s windy so it feels like it’s about 10°F.

We must be part of the same social experiment @sirchunksalot, I overheard a couple of supervisors yesterday that were discussing Saturday. Now I’m hoping it’s not for my area but, I’ll find out in about 45 minutes or so if I have a one or two day weekend.

Rolling a few putts this morning to get relaxed before heading to work. Tempo seems to be getting locked in pretty well.

Good morning everyone. The cold mornings have returned but it appears only for a couple of days. Should get a dusting of snow over the next 48 hours but if the weather man knows what he’s talking about this time (big if) then it should be around past Saturday. Which hopefully means I can play on Monday. Girls basketball game today which sadly means another community call missed. Hope it’s a good one (who am I kidding, they’re always good) and I’ll read about the content later tonight. Hope everyone has a great day ahead!

Good morning spies! Had a good day golfing yesterday! My horrible short game only reared its ugly head a couple of times so I had a grand total of one double. Was very nice in the afternoon with temps in the high 60's and might have even touched 70 for a little bit. Played with a couple of guys who have lower handicaps than mine and posted higher scores so we were out of the money. 

Picking today, and boy the oranges are getting really ripe and sweet! We never buy citrus in the stores anymore. The taste does not even compare.

Sitting here having a nice hot cup of coffee and enjoying some breakfast while waiting on daylight. Looking forward to today's weekly round with all my aged friends. Last count will be 88 of us today so should be a lot of fun and trash talking going on...  Maybe today is the day I can get into their pockets for a change?

Will catch the community call later this afternoon to keep up with goings on around the forum.

Clear but cccoldd here. I know that last part as today is trash day and the can - with a heavy, snap down lid - was knocked down again and attacked by some furry little scavengers...

I'm imaging a scene from an animated kids movie where a group of different animal species band together and work as a team, forming a ladder and pushing together against the to of the can to topple it over..!!

Good morning! Day 1 of 4 of "Dad running the show" complete, with no kids injured or killed. I invited my Dad over for Valentine's dinner last night and enjoyed a little bit of time and a few glasses of wine with him. My mom passed away in July last year, so all of these "first days without her" can be kind of rough on everyone. Other than that, one kid is up and fed getting ready to jump on the bus, and I'll repeat the process and kick the other out shortly thereafter. Maybe I'll hit a couple balls into the net before I head into work after a second or third cup of coffee. Wishing everyone a productive Thursday - go get some and make it great!

Good Thursday morning my friends.  
  First things first… Thanks to everyone for the well wishes and support. We have many more of our members that are dealing with significantly more serious issues than I am. They are doing so with greater clarity of purpose and calmness . I will  readily admit to be trying to copy that approach. Now back to regularly scheduled life.

No issues getting home. First round of the new Rx is down the hatch… Now just waiting. If everything stays down where it is suppose to…. then looking at a day temperature wise in the high 60’s to mid 70’s on the course. Some may not agree with this, but in reviewing my last two rounds; I came up with the following… I played at a slower pace than normal. I also took mental breaks while playing ( stopped and smelled the roses kind of thing ). Bottom line; different strokes for different folks. 
   I will finish today’s episode by reporting that the wife person realized last night that she would have to be seen with me in public to use her Valentine’s gift. I believe she is already busy looking for my replacement for the event.. YES, YES, YES.. A possible weekend of freedom, the gift inside a gift. 
  Enjoy your Thursday and may it be as easy on you as a 6 inch putt.

Good morning all and happy Thursday! Got a little bit of the white stuff last night but not enough to cause any issues other than being annoyed I can no longer see clear greens and fairways out my windows . Won't last long though as the ground is quite warm for late winter here in the Badger state. Temps in the 40s next week and it feels like spring BUT I am not allowing myself to believe it. The second I do, I ruin it for everyone in the state and we will get a bunch of snow (nope, I am not superstitious at all ). Going to have to miss my second community call in a row this week due to a busy work schedule today. Meetings scheduled right smack dab through the call. I am sure it'll be a great one!

Not much planned for this weekend other than to just hang out with the boys as we will be gone next weekend to Milwaukee for a concert.

@taylorjonasher glad to hear dad only mode is successful so far. Great that you got to spend some quality time with your father last night as well. I am sorry to hear about your mother's passing last year.
