@cksurfdude and @sirchunksalot hope that you both have a great time today while out and about with your various planned events.

@Byrnzee hope that you are enjoying your time there, even with the streaming issues, so much to see and do.

@Cfhandyman congratulations on your posting milestone, always enjoy your posts immensely.

More "paperwork" and documentation preparation for me today, and planning a trip to the range later provided we don't see any later afternoon storms develop.

Hope all have the best day they possibly can, and that something enjoyable is in your plans.

Good morning Spies! Sitting on the couch watching the Women's Open and eating breakfast. I'm joined here by Chichi the Bacon Cat, who has almost eaten more of my bacon than I have. Let's see, temps in the 50s, rain, wind howling, yep, that's the Scotland I remember from last month. Still freaks me out that 10 months ago tomorrow I was on the first tee of the Old Course. It was a little colder than this that day.

Getting ready to leave for Miami tomorrow. Probably no golf on the agenda although a Rypstick session is possible if the shoulder is behaving.

Hit 'em straight and putt 'em straighter!

Good morning MGSpies on a glorious August summer Sunday morning with sunshine and cool before the day warms up to nicely hot  Shed painting is on today with everything bought yesterday and with no big push to "get out and do it" mostly due to a summer shower that caused a panic rush to get laundry hanging on the line in, so coffee in hand and TGMT post made, it will be time to get out into the yard to do "the thing" while MGSpouse is watching her Sunday morning programs (coffee already provided... the key my fellows is to be aware of the soothing perks she prefers and provide them daily without a comment made, oh and "failing hearing" does have benefits   Golf will be tomorrow at the soonest as the weekdays will be full again this week, hope golf is a part of your day.

Up early this morning and it’s been busy.  Quick cup of coffee, help SWMBO with the cats, trip to Publix for whatever now back home another coffee B4 trimming/weed eating yard.  Cut lawn yesterday so good for 7-10 days. 
Heard the mowers out early on the course across the street, hope they are finally going to open up those 3 tracks.  They’ve been closed since Tropical Storm came thru.  
Should be get some pix from my Gson moving into dorm today.  Big day for him!!  And us.

A fine good morning to all on this lovely Sunday morning.  Moving slowly this morning.  On my second cup of coffee, but at least I'm all caught up.  Picked up my sister at the airport last evening.  She's visiting from Germany and I'd forgotten how much "fun" the airport is these days.  I certainly don't miss my frequent flier days unless its for vacation purposes.  Thank you to everyone for the well wishes in hitting 1,000 posts milestone.  Have a great day everyone.

Up early, as the oldest started day 2 of the season opening soccer tournament they are in. A win in the 8 o’clock game secured them a spot in the final this afternoon, so yay!

It is now firmly that time of year where my golf is balanced with an active youth sports calendar. So I will try to get to the range for a bucket and a virtual round this evening.

Good morning to everyone. Up and waiting on the coffee to be ready this morning. Wife is working on some Abuelita chocolate pumpkin cinnamon rolls for breakfast while I'm handling some laundry. A few house projects are on the schedule today, but otherwise we don't have a lot planned.

The week days have been so busy with trying to organize the eventual funeral that it feels nice to go a day or two where we only worry about the things right around us. Of course it's not actually that simple because the funeral planning follows us due to some... Family situations... But this weekend has been the most normal weekend we have had in a long time. Whoever said that being an adult was fun lied. Our friend jokes that we are stuck with all these issues because we are the "most adultiest" adults in my wife's family. It's hard to argue that after what we've seen recently, but I am so ready for this to be over and we can go to something that will resemble our new normal.

Good Sunday morning All!

Relaxing a bit this morning while putting finishing touches on the bat rack rush order from the mini-SWMBO... Did convince her to stay with natural wood so no staining. I think she is going to do the team's name in vinyl to give it "some personal character" as she puts it...

Going to be a pleasant day with a little backyard net practice to work on chipping technique and grill some burgers this afternoon.

@BIG STU, I believe I was able to snag one of the last ones last year.   To get one, you had to post a minimum of 5 rounds in the weekly VCT (virtual championship tour).  If you haven't tried the VCT, take a look at it.  Its a lot of fun and especially competitive this year with the various flights.  @GolfSpy_BEN and the moderators have done an unbelievably fabulous job with the VCT this year.  I'm not sure if any of the tags are still available.  Perhaps @GolfSpy_BEN knows more or if they're going to be reproduced.  I hope that doesn't create extra work for you Ben.

We are in fact all out of the spares - we distributed the last of the original run early this year.  We'll make an announcement when we get a new batch in, though!

Oh yeah that Klotz pre mix smells almost as good as VP 120 Octane racing gas especially if it is a little rich.

I was able to make it through 9 holes at the US Senior Amateur today before my knee decided it was better off to leave. I have to say it was an awesome event at a phenomenal course. I can see why it's ranked as the 31st best course in the US and #1 in the state of TN. 

Watching the competitors, I could tell the greens were both firm and fast. I watched a couple of shots that I thought were good hit the green and just keep rolling. 

I was fascinated by this little middle finger bunker nestled in the rough. I thought it was a cool and devious design added to the course. 

I was just randomly following a group of guys and enjoying watching them play. I was asked a few times if I was following anyone in particular and just told them I was there to watch golf and see the course. It's probably my only chance to ever get out there and I do hate I couldn't finish all 18.

Good morning (really afternoon on East Coast) - coming back after my 3-day work tournament. Overall, I was very happy with the results - our team won (woohoo) and I went 5-2 overall (double woohoo)!  Definitely have some things to work on, specifically iron / approach game (lots of pulls / pushes / fliers) but I was very happy with my woods and putter (Chewie definitely came to play and I think I convinced a couple colleges to get a LAB).

Glad you were able to get out for a bit @sirchunksalot! Is this the Honors Course outside Chattanooga?

I also picked up a little course swag while I was there. I love the hat and I think the ball marker is cool, it still has the logo on it if you use the marker. I also grabbed a scorecard since I'm collecting them from the courses I play, even though I didn't play this one.

Thanks Ben! I had a hard time choosing which design of hat I wanted but this one was a combo of snapback and flex fit and I love the way they fit.

We have a work scramble on Thursday, I hardly know any of these guys, but the majority of them play golf.  I am going to try to work work some magic for Mandatory Golf Fridays.  The only bad part about the scramble is that it starts at noon, but it is golf so I can’t complain too much.

Also, it is time for coffee.  This 6 hour time difference from the east coast is hard to get used to.

I wish I could adequately describe it, it was so good. I was talking to one of the USGA officials and he said the greens were running at 13 and I would almost guarantee the fairways were at ten. The bunkers were pristine and I had fun watching them hit shots out of them. 

I wish I could have hung around for the whole thing, but I can say the first comp I've ever watched was awesome.

That is so freaking awesome! I'm glad you got to watch Lydia Ko come out with the victory today and the architecture of the buildings in the background is beautiful.
