Friday is here, my spies. Prepare yourselves for the weekend. 
  Dealing with two different third party crews this morning. Weather wise suppose to have a good chance for rain with temperatures running into the high 80’s. 
    The High Priestess of Halloween is starting to get antsy about the coming holiday. As a husband I find it more logical to align myself with Dia de Muertos than with the SHE being’s terror holiday of Halloween. Main thing is to stay away from her at this remote location. I was able to cancel the delivery of the below

Because, if you know who doesn’t see it 

as humorous, then my getting new wedges, will continue to be regulated to the “ wishful thinking “ list of life. 
  My friends,… Enjoy, engage, and live this day to the fullest… Don’t let anyone turn it into a Dia de Muertos.

Well it's here .. happy Happy Friday all!

Swung golf clubs last two days so gonna give all the old joints a little break from that, though some part of the day will include rolling some putts on the basement mat.

Was actually up before Sir Chunks time to take care of poochie, but bring an old retired fart I can crawl back into bed

Some cleaning and small projects around the house, a little exercise and pick up some food and beers for an old guy friends get together here tomorrow.

And those are the happenings of my day .. hope yours goes well for you, and you make it happy hour in style!!

Good morning all from another rainy morning. The rain is supposed to give way to clear skies later today, but paired with dropping temps as we dip below 50 this afternoon. Hoping to get up to the range after SWMBO and the kiddos leave for my in-laws cabin once she's done with work to get some more time on the Mevo. If I do, I am thinking I'll do a wedges session to see how it handles spin with those and also what distances look like for 1/2 and 3/4 swings. The one thing I tend to struggle with on the course can be the 30-50 yard shots at times and which wedge to hit. Would love to squeeze 9 in but I don't think I'll have the time, so I'd have to do that or the Mevo. We will see what happens. 

Temps are going to be nice and cold this weekend for bow hunting which is great and will hopefully have deer up on their feet and moving.

Personally I tend to do a slightly more open stance with a 50 or 54 of I don't have to go over anything and have a little landing room.

I typically will use my 56 and open the face. My biggest issue is committing to the swing. I'd say a third of the time I bail and slow down and the ball goes nowhere, another third I go a little too hard and it's long, and the last third I find the sweet spot swing wise an stick it

What the heck, I am actually showing up to the Breakfast Club during the morning.  No golf today thanks to a tournament at my course.  No substitute teaching today, so I am left to my own devices.  Maybe I will work on some clubs, maybe I will do some yard work, or maybe I will take a nap.  Life is good.

Good morning Spies on a TGIF here. Later than usual here, but I did have to actually go into work on a vacation day, as they are doing some repair work on the concrete floors in the garage area of the facility, and since no one else was into the facility before this morning, there was a lot of commotion and chaos as it was supposed to be used for a photoshoot today. I did send everyone else an email about changing the location of the photoshoot yesterday, but since none were in, they waited until they saw for themselves before moving the location. Golfing here at noon, currently lower 60's and partly sunny with no wind, with high temperature supposed to be mid 70's.

Hope that all there at the JD @jdparker household get through Covid with no issues.

 

Hope that everyone has the best day they possibly can, and that something golf related or enjoyable is in your plans.

I am attacking some training material this morning in an effort to finish up my certification renewal. Then I have several meetings that I will sit on with my hot cuppa.

TGIF all!  If you need a little extra boost to your day here's Jackson during his Birthday round after getting a birdie:

Yes he was more excited that he beat me on the hole than the birdie itself! haha  He ended up getting 3 birdies on the back 9.  He was hitting his driver really well so being set up from 150ish away he drove a few greens!

 

Hoping you all have a short workday and long weekends!  For those going out this weekend, hit them well!

Happy Friday Spies,

2 cups in me. Old pupper walked. Received an alert from FedEx that my SM9 58 is out for delivery. Played 9 yesterday morning. I finished with a par on hole that normally Gives me fits. While I love Fall golf, all the down leaves hit my wallet hard in the golf ball department. Going to Dick’s to pick up some cheaper bright green balls.

Good morning! I’m very excited for the day. I took the day off work to get things done around my house and winterize the cabin. Then once school lets out we’re taking the kids on an awesome bike trail that we recently discovered. Weather is beautiful, got a coffee in hand and I’m ready to get things done. 

No golf today, but I’m praying we get some nice weather after the cold front next week!

The projected forecast is for temperatures to get to 50 degrees late next week and weekend, so the potential for a November round of golf in MIchigan is real...................... 

Last year we played until the white flakes started to fall around mid-November

Good morning and Happy TGIFF!! It's good to be back home and back online with all you crazy people.
It's also going to be really great getting back on the course this weekend after about a month away due to weather and health reasons. Playing our tougher course here in the community, but that's just the way it goes I guess. Time to rise to the occasion!

Yes!! I always get excited when I see anything above 50 in November (or December)! In 2023 so far, I’ve played at least 2 rounds every month since there was nice days around 1/1 and at the end of February! I’m going to try for that again in 2024!

Good morning spy's.

I was privileged to attend the British Columbia Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony last night at Marine Drive Golf Club in Vancouver BC.

What an evening, two players were inducted which I have played with and against so I wanted to attend as well as one of Canada's best women amateurs. 

Craig Doell, Bryan Debiasio, Shelley Stouffer and Bob Willie were all inducted and we had a chance to hear their stories and get to know them all a bit better with the exception of Bob Willie who was inducted posthumously. 

At my table were my friend and his wife and some of their friends so I had he opportunity to meet like minded golfers an connect a few dots of golfers we have crossed paths with over the years. 

Anyway congratulations to all the inductees and I hope all the spy's have a great day and weekend.

Good morning fellow spies! Up early to begin preparations to head into the whitetail woods. Cold front pushed in yesterday and should have them on their feet. Gonna be an all day sit unless I can manage to arrow one this morning.

Saturday, my spies… A day normally to enjoy and rest from the week of toil. Except, this Saturday, will just be an extension of the work week. Had enough equipment failures on Friday that I felt as beaten as a rented mule by the end of a long, long grueling day. 
  Weather is staying the normal for this time of year… Lows in the 70’s with the highs brushing up against 90 degrees. 
  Enjoy your Saturday my friends.. Have a tad bit of fun for me.

Good morning MGSpies from wet turning colder WNY, rains came in an hour ago with the temps up near 66 and already dropped to 60 heading much lower today.  Tee time is 9:30 with an intrepid crew, same as last Saturday plus people to meet.  Winds are up with this front moving through so Jason @Jnoble89 is sharing his weather this far east already and no doubt gloves and jacket will be added to the golf gear today.  Hot coffee is ready for mug and thermos, not leaving that off the list of things to have on course this autumn morning.  

Just light enough to see most of the leaves that were on the trees yesterday making it look seasonal are now on the ground instead, looking seasonal...   these are still swaying in the breeze down the yard and yesterday were a surprise to see such lovely flowers making the place look nice, just noticed there's even a bee getting its nourishment on one of the blossoms.

Hope golf is a part of your day too!

It’s another youth soccer tournament weekend! Blessedly, our last of the fall. So 18 is out, but I might be able to sneak in a virtual round or two at the range, TBD…

Good morning everyone!

Happy Saturday and I hope each of you have a great start to your weekend.

@Jnoble89, I wish you the best of luck out there, I always loved bow hunting and was never good at it. There's just something about being out there having to get close to the deer before you can harvest one. 

I'm heading up to Knoxville today to visit my sister. I wish it was a a more happy visit but we found out a couple of weeks ago that she has breast cancer and she started chemo this past Monday. The good thing is that it's curable, but it just tears me up to see another sibling having to fight this terrible disease. We were fortunate that it hasn't spread bit we did have a scare that it was in her throat and neck. The doctors just ruled that it, so I'm thankful for that.
