Happy Wednesday All!  
 Today might be the day for the Newton shaft delivery.  Gotta try to temper my hopes just in case UPS is delayed.
Pups fed and out, coffee doing it's magic and the (pay) work day starts soon.  
Looks like another nice fall day here to look at the work computer screen while wishing I was on the course

I told her I did not recall the officer's name but she could check. I got a letter like 2 weeks later from the head of the election board apologizing about the incident. 

I guess I missed that such a big deal was made out of the situation. Yeah I would’ve been more than a little upset I think..

Good morning Spies!

Not much planned for today. Hoping to sneak out to the range once or twice more this week to get some practice in. Have a tee time scheduled for Sunday morning, so that's something to look forward to.

After returning from Pinehurst, I'm already itching to do another golf trip next year. I've been talking with some friends and we're considering trying to do French Lick. Not too far from me in Chicago and we can mix in the bourbon trail on one of the days. We'll see if it pans out.

@Northern Monkey good luck out there today.

For having gone on vacation then coming back to celebrate our anniversary, I told the wife not to worry about my birthday. She got us tickets to go see Sturgill Simpson next month as my present. I saw her eyeing some socks in a store in Peru due to them being made from Alpaca fur. But for one set they were 99 Sol which is almost 25 bucks. me being the detective and looking at the package, I found their website. Surprisingly, all their clothing is made in the United States and ships out of Springfield, Missouri. But the socks she scoffed at the price of I found on the website for 18 bucks. Well knowing Christmas is coming up as well I got her another pair. My only thing now is what else do I get her between now and Christmas. And how do I keep it hidden so she doesn't know? Anyhow, hope everyone has a great day.

Good mid-week Morning golfers! 

Gonna be another beautiful, unseasonably warm day here (yay). Gonna be another day I have to sideline myself from golf due to lower back issues (boo).

Have collected some preliminary observations for the Newton shaft testing; checked swing weights, too, make sure new and old are comparable. 

Scheduled both chiro and acu this morning, and been applying heating pads and ice packs, so hopefully be back swinging soon...

@Byrnzee A golf trip to French Lick with a side trip to the bourbon trail sounds like a perfect combination. Might have to look into something like that myself.

Good morning Spies,

Uppa with a cuppa. It’s 65 degrees out in Central NY. The leaves are turning finally and seemingly over night are dropping. I posted some Fall colors pictures from my home course yesterday on the Good Evening thread.

My lovely wife baked apple bread last night. Breakfast is ready. Today will be taking Cooper for a walk and I will get a run in. Then I will do some touch up painting on the outside woodwork to get ready for winter. Oh then I will need to blow out the sprinklers.

Top of the pot spies and to this weeks half-life .  Trying another course in our sister community as our are still growing new grass... though two will open in a few days .  Echo Mesa is an 18 hole, par 60 executive and, by many accounts, the most challenging course in the area from the rear tees.

Good morning Spies on what has been a little hectic morning here due to a family medical emergency situation.

My oldest, living relative, an Aunt went to the hospital this AM and was admitted into ICU. She is 93.

@Northern Monkey best of luck today, hope the weather improves and your scores may be low, but the fun factor high.

@cksurfdude, Chuck, hope that your back situation gets better sooner rather than later, and getting old isn't for the weak.

Hope all hear have the best day they possibly can have, and that something enjoyable is in your plans.

Had a good inspection yesterday on out appliances--hopefully will get a check cut, minus our deductible, soon to replace the microwave and range. I am sick of heating up food in the small microwave we purchased for temporary use. Can't wait to get back to actual cooking! Depending on how much insurance gives us, the new ovens with built in convection air-fryer is a 33 year old homeowner's dream  While we won't be there much longer, it will be fun to play with. 

Hit a handful of balls before dark into the net last night, still have too much going on at the top of the bag that I am almost convinced if we get any sort of Christmas bonus this year from work, I want to get new irons and re-think everything in the 18 to 24 degree range as I currently have way too much overlap due to lofts of current irons. 24 degree "6" iron, 21 degree "5" iron with a 24 degree 5 hybrid and a 21 degree 7 wood (both turned down a degree) then a 16.5 degree 4 wood--just too much going on in one area of the bag. With current lofts, I could drop the 5 iron back out of the bag, keep the hybrid and 7 wood down a bit, and maybe look for a driving iron in the 18-19 degree range and could at least have a little more versatility and gapping. I am a data driven purchase and all this makes my head spin around when I'm practicing with my LM. Decisions, Decisions!

Good morning Spies! My work inbox filled up yesterday with training that needs to be done ASAP, so I've been working on it for the last two hours plus. It's not far from the truth to decide that I get paid to drive a lot, stay in hotels and do training; a lot more of that than actual research activity. Especially when research activity gets cancelled because the airlines cancel someone else's flight.

Hoping to get in a Rypstick workout later, and perhaps Fit For Golf as well, although my arms are still barking at me for too much time on the driving range. It's hell getting old. Speaking of getting old, tomorrow is my parents' 65th wedding anniversary. 

If you can, hit 'em straight and putt 'em straighter!

Good morning spies! I am running the Wild Bunch today and we are going to play a Stableford. 0 points for double and above. 1 for bogie, 2 par, 3 birdie, 4 eagle, and 5 for less than eagle. I have never add a score card up with a 5. Should be fun.

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!!  A little late to the party had some errands to run earlier today.  
Have another PT session shortly hope they can fix this problem.  
Quite a few golf courses will be opening next week so we can get back to playing regularly again.  
Weather has been awesome 60’s mornings and 80’s during the day, can’t ask for anything better.

I miss that. I lived in WA for many years. They went to mail in voting and it couldn’t be easier. NY is slowly getting there.

Good Wednesday morning All!

Nothing like getting a phone call at 4 in the morning... All kinds of things go through one's mind at that hour.  Fortunately, it was just the course looking for someone to come in and assist a juniors tournament setup as an individual scheduled called in sick... So, with that unscheduled start to the day, I now find myself enjoying a late breakfast and pondering how to spend the day as I took care of the CEO's task list yesterday. Maybe I'll get a range session in and confirm the driver setup is still working and make any needed tweaks before tomorrow's league round...

Some people should not be in a position of authority! You handled it better than I would have.

Morning folks! We were hit with a smattering of good weather here in NY so I’ve been taking advantage of it as much as possible. My real excitement though comes in the form of a short trip to Florida the first weekend of November. While my wife is running a half marathon I’ll be playing a round of golf at Providence Golf Club in Davenport, FL! The reviews look good and it’s links-like which is right up my alley!

@EnderinAZ I can honestly say I don't know anything about how to build and repeat computers, so I appreciate the advice on the power supply. I honestly wouldn't have thought about that and will have my wife email them to ask them to check it.
