Jackson did great playing up in the next league last night.  He walked and stole two bases in the 3rd and then hit a line drive single to centerfield in the 4th, stole second, walked to third, and scored on a single to right.  He fielded a few balls in the outfield too, and had a great time playing with some of the bigger kids.

Big night for him tonight as we have our first playoff game and he will be our team's starting pitcher! #playoffs

1 week from our club member-guest and I could NOT be more excited! My partner and I are both new(ish) to golf but have been really grinding on our games lately and to say we have both had this curled on the calendar all year would be a huge understatement. I am sure we will be in a low flight, but who cares, I am just ready to compete!

 

After a few days off of the course dealing with some nagging injuries, I am feeling better, going to the chiropractor and getting on the course this afternoon/early evening for a match against a friend and kicking off my weekend! We also are hosting a NCAA baseball regional in town this week so it will be a busy weekend of baseball games and squeezing in some golf! Have a day my friends!

Hey everyone! Hope everyone has had a fantastic start to the day. Work and life have kept insanely preoccupied so I've missed posting in here the last few days. Finally got an email that my second LAB putter is in production and expected to ship tomorrow!

We hosted one at Georgia Southern last year for the first time and it was awesome. Unfortunately we didn't make it out and then this year we fell flat and never really looked like ourselves. Hoping next year we get back on track.

Another guy and myself had a golf shop and we did fittings etc. We shut down during the recession in 08. All the equipment was mine anyhow. I moved it to my building out back of the house. I did quite a bit pre covid. Now days since I got hurt I do not do a lot of work mostly mess with my vintage clubs and some work for friends

Nice!  Was this at Aspen Lakes?  Which hole... #3?  Did you make it over the drop-off in the fairway at the dogleg on the par 4 #5 hole?

Good morning Spies, TGIF! Working from home today, and supposed to be the start of my summer hours, or 1/2 day Friday, so doing my best to make sure that happens. Another day of 90 here, and the Detroit Gran Prix is here this weekend. Weather will be perfect, maybe too hot for the racing? Hope your day is the best it can be.

Good morning family! What a stunning day today! It’s already 76 degrees but no bugs! Tee time in 4 hours so going to get some breakfast and some range time in before a round or two of golf! The joy of rolling out of bed and being on the course is something I could get use To! Old Waverly first round and Mossy Oaks tomorrow!

I meant they are separated by a 1/4 mile. It’s pretty cool to see how different the courses are when they are basically next to one another.  Enjoy!!!

Good morning MGSpies from a spectacular sunny WNY Friday with a 4:10 tee time waiting on the other end of the workday and workweek to finish this afternoon.  Hot coffee making it a better day  and helping to bridge the gap between wanting to have a nap and putting energy into what generates good performance reviews.  Feeling like I'm burning the candle at both ends so come on weekend!   Hope golf is a part of your day too

Good morning everyone and happy Friday. Been a hot couple of busy days lately so I am glad that is breaking here today with some thunderstorms. Looking forward to a round on Sunday morning with those cooler temps. Winding down the school year for the kids so things are getting busy. I hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend.

Good morning everyone and happy Friday! Looks like it's going to be a hot one here today with a forecasted high of 87. Right now though, it's nice and cool in the house and perfect for drinking coffee. 

It's been a busy and productive week off both playing golf and getting things done around the house. I've still got a few things to move out of the upstairs room but it's nothing major.

Good Morning and Happy Friday everyone!  Hopefully those of you that are still working can have a shortened casual Friday and get in 18 or a quick nine!

I'm still excited about my new Jones Trouper R carry bag courtesy of a fabulous MGS Forum group buy.  I love the Le Creme color; hope I can keep it clean on my goose-poop infested course.  I spent the evening after it was delivered yesterday cleaning out my old W/S Nexus carry bag and figuring out what to put in what pocket.  I'm going to give it a try carrying today.  Don't normally do that but it rides nicely on my old shoulders.

Made the drive to Spencerport NY yesterday to watch granddaughters baseball.  Decided to take in a round up there at a new to us course Twin Hills. Course was in great shape.  Clubhouse being remodeled.

Not sure how to spend the bday.  Was thinking about going out to play with the little white ball.  But a little tired with the trip yesterday-  5 hours in the car, left early got home late. The brain is just wanting to chill out.

I just realized that today is June 2; an anniversary of sorts for me.  After working for 10.5 years for a contractor here at the US Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford nuclear site as a chemist and a nuclear safeguards specialist, I began employment in 1980 with the DOE Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, operated by Battelle Memorial Institute whose headquarters are in Columbus Ohio.  I spent the next 35 years traveling and meeting a lot of really great people... retired September 2015.
