Good morning spies,

The weather is looking promising today now. Last night showed rain all day. This morning’s cuppa will be followed by pool boy duties with yesterday’s pool opening. Not sure golf will be in the mix. If FedEx is to be believed my Ghost bag is delivering today. First impressions of the DF3, feels great!

This being Mother’s Day weekend, the community in which I live has a community garage sale going on. It occurs on Friday and Saturday. My wife who volunteers at the SPCA will be selling new pet products donated to the SPCA that the SPCA can’t use with all proceeds going to the SPCA. Collars, harnesses, outfits, floatation vests, etc…

Wishing everyone a happy Thursday. I am driving back home. Hopefully, the rain isn’t too bad on the way. Have some work calls to get on it’s raining too hard. That will be interesting. Going to try and dial into the community later. Looking forward to being home and I hope everybody has a great day.

Good morning! It's been dreary and rainy so far this morning and I don't expect it to lift. So the DF3 will not get outdoors for a while. I do have the unboxing video up and posted. Go check it out if you're interested!

Today is a super busy day at work with a few extra meetings and some emergent work that popped up over the last couple of days. Then tonight I'm helping coach my daughter's soccer practice. 

Great to see so many new members joining in on the GMT!

Hoping to hit the driving range and to join the community call this week.  Finally a nice weather day up here.

Good morning spies! Boy are my feet sore this morning. I spent so much time shooting myself in the foot during the Wild Bunch game yesterday I am surprised I even have toes this morning. Things like I need to chip the ball there to get it to the pin. Okay stroke the ball...hmmmm. It is not going there, it is going 10 feet to the right. Look at feet and hips for alignment. Yep, the ball went exactly where I physically aimed it. 

I did that a lot. Driver was stellar but I score with a good second shot. Not a second shot that starts left (because I aimed it there) and hooks off of the green onto a steep hillside with 3 inch deep rough. 

So I walked the course practicing mindful walking. Putting the admonishing internal conversation away and focusing on how the ground feels under my feet and my breath.  This kept me happy and enjoying the sunny day with guys I enjoy playing golf with, and completely brain dead with reference to planning my next shot. 

So note to self: Self, mindful walking is good. Mindful walking and PLANNING THE NEXT SHOT is much better!

Tomorrow is another day with the Bunch...

Good morning everyone. Just finished a quick doctor visit and a phone call with a sports wheelchair rep for my son. Hoping to get everything he needs tonight so we can get the ball rolling as these specialty chairs tend to take 4-5 months to complete and get shipped. Season starts in September so hoping it’s ready not too long after his practices start. Sadly will miss the community call today but hoping this is my last miss for awhile. Sports are done after today and summer is almost here. Hoping everyone has a great day ahead.

welp, have to sell my current irons so I need to switch to my backup set which is a set of Cobra One Length forged. A beautiful all black setup. I'll be hitting the range today so I don't make a fool of myself in the tournament on Saturday.

kinda bummed though. just added new ferrules and paint fill to match but the elbow pain is just too much right now so I have to move on.

Last night was a pretty nasty one. Heave storms came through and made a mess. All 5 courses here are closed until noon due to the storms. They went from Severe Storm Warning to Tornado Watch to Tornado Warning to Flood Warning. Lots of lightening and rain pretty much all night. Gotta love being woken up in the middle of the night when the house shakes due to a huge thunder clap.

I was actually having dinner at my folk's place when it all started. Lots of lightening and thunder but the rain was somewhat normal. After dinner heading home, it got much worse. It's only 4.8 miles, but there was a lot of debris o the roads, lightening pretty much non-stop, winds into the double digits, and the rain came down much heavier than before.

Looking outside into my front yard and street, lots of small branches and leaves scattered around. Plus, our grass is already looking like a wheat field and now it won't get mowed for at least another day or two. Oh well, that's just the way it goes I guess. Luckily we didn't see any tornadoes here in the community and power surprisingly didn't go out. Small victories.

And thanks for sending the storms my way. Whew what a couple of doozies. A couple of boomers shook the house so bad a thought it was an earthquake.

Good (late) morning MGS Nation! Another dreary start to the day here in Maryland... just started to rain again. The Earl Grey is long gone, hit the spot, too! Had league play last night, first on course trial with the DF3. Was able to get to the practice green early and get some reps in and setup for more data gathering.... 

So, the group we were with had all sorts of questions, first being, "What the hell is that?" "OOOHHH!!! That's that new putter that looks like a space ship. I've seen some guys on the tour use it now... may I try it?!" The Black Mamba was a hit. I wasn't able to get hard putting data for just myself as we played a cart scramble. I will be posting my first impressions on the DF3 thread a little later. So, the golf gods were kind and cleared the skies for our round of 9 yesterday afternoon, but then closed up and started raining again here this morning. Now that the indoor putting green has arrived, can work with the Mamba to start getting more accustomed to the feel of it. 

I hope everyone has a fantastic day and that golf is part of yours as well! Definitely looking forward to the Community Call: I catch them while driving home from work and it is always entertaining and informative! Hope to see/hear you all there!

Had a meeting with the boss. I mentioned the other day that I had received my 24th state license in February without knowing it. Well the boss told me today (which I was expecting after the forced departure of one of my colleagues) that I'll be asked to get a few more, exact states to be determined. They have 17 states where they have no one or only one person. I'm expecting at least three states added to my to-do list.

Technically afternoon but wanted to check in here. I've been slightly MIA on the forum the last 2-4 days. Between work and home I haven't had much time for anything else unfortunately. I hope everyone has been well and It looks like my schedule is clear for the community call so looking forward to listening in later today. 2 weeks down for league and I've been fairly consistent but consistently mediocre so I'll have updates for the "how'd you play" thread.

Happy Thursday, golfers!  I was the first one off at my course this morning and didn't see another golfer until I reached hole #8.  I decided to play the back tees and give my long clubs some work.

Yeah, it was nuts. Yesterday it was just constant lightening/thunder shaking the house all morning long. Then a break before the big storms in the evening/overnight. 15 minutes after leaving my parent's house, their power went out and didn't come back till 3am. I'm glad I have a generator even though we didn't lose power. He needs to invest in one, if for nothing more than the basics (fridge, AC, furnace, etc).

Nice clear, sunny afternoon now.

It was a nice walk this morning @rkj427.  Weather was warm, but not bad since winds kept it kind of nice all morning. I think it' going to remain "warm" until September, in Florida !

Finishing an elongated lunch hour. The heat is high and the heat index higher. I am spending a lot of time “ suggesting “ that the young ones drink plenty of fluids. The heat feels good on my old joints and bones but I am not busting tail like the young ones are. We will be using a couple of heat index timeouts this afternoon. 
 While we are hot, it is hotter  in other parts of Texas…..

Speaking of hot… I initiated my passive aggressive insubordination towards the She, who would rule all… I am sure it will swiftly get back to her and I will be getting a summons by royal decree. I should physically be safe until my return to the “ Dark Kingdom “ on late Monday or early Tuesday… I am both apprehensive and excited.

No hope of a reshaft? I know the XXIOs have counter balancing which might not work on graphite shafts.

@Shrek74I'm glad to hear you're safe, I know storms were hitting bad up that way and thought about you. It got bad here, but not as bad as some other areas.

yeah - unfortunately these are made to such a degree of precision that you can't get the same feel by swapping shafts... it's like they're the LAB of irons or something.
