I was kind of keeping count.  Commercials outnumbered televised shots by 3 to 2 during the morning session.  In the second session we were treated to "playing through" commercials.  I.e. even recording doesn't help.

And, is it me or is the quality of NBC's broadcast such that you can't see the balls land on the green?

Very true, it was tough to see the ball traveling to and landing on the green.

I am watching about 20 minutes behind coverage and am truly in shock. However awesome to see Spieth with a great eagle response. 

I have been listening to the NLU pod from yesterday and it really is crazy how this has all played out so far. The fact 9&7 was the result of the second match is jaw dropping. They finished 7 over par through 11 holes...

It's exactly why I don't pay for Sport on my TV anymore, I'm actually watching Ryder Cup live streaming via utube on the with NO advertising  

Lucky for me I don't need to see live golf which in NZ is delayed by 4 to 8 hour's anyway Liv golf is live streaming or on next day delay in full which is UpTo 10ish hours of play, I'm not interested in watching more than an hour as I get bored and prefer other forms of entertainment now I'm older.

I do still find it fascinating that Morikawa is still using the OG Sim driver. Seems pretty telling to me and a big part of me thinks it has to do with how shallow the face was on the Sim vs the models that followed with deeper faces.

What genius came up with this set of uniforms?  Like most people I have to move about a bit doing this little chore or that, the dog wants in/out that kind of stuff. Between the 30 live golf spots that are disrupting the play through commercials and the uniforms I can’t tell who is who. 
 

Oh and did you guys catch that the course is set up to favor the Euros?  In case you missed it they’ve taken wedge out of the US players hands. I think that needs to be mentioned at least 27 more times because it sounds so smart.

You forgot about the long rough because the Euros drive it straighter.

 

 

Also read a report (don't know if it has been confirmed) that Cantlay is complaining about the Ryder Cup because the players don't get paid.   If true,  wouldn't the simple answer be to decline the opportunity to be on the team?

Good gawd.  There is a time and place for everything and he brings this up while they are getting pummeled.  What a complete asshat.  I have a really small bucket of tour players I don't care for but it just had one more added.  You know this really does speak volumes about what we're seeing.

NBC’c coverage is HORRIBLE. 90% of the air time are the matches that are 3 or 4 up. I’m barely seeing the tied or 1 up matches. Terrible.

Also I have some sympathy for Cantlay - this is not your father's Ryder Cup.  Billions of dollars are being made on this event.  He's a professional golfer.... 

 

But the hatless thing looks moronic.  Two clutch putts though - and maybe NBC will catch up to the fact that the match is tied sometime this Millenium.

I really hope he hits a great recovery but this announcing is driving me nuts.  The golf has been exciting.  

 

BTW I have a mild case of COVID so I've been stuck at home and will be tomorrow.  Normally I don't get to see these final rounds - I'm hoping the US wins this last hole to make it a bit interesting at least.
