Ghost Golf Bags

I can see the benefit of being “ambidextrous” so I guess it’s just a trade off. I too have found the two main pockets to be big enough so far.

I can't say I have missed it at all. I can fit all I need and more in the bag as is. Plus the weight for carrying is heavy enough that I prefer to keep it as light as possible.

I must admit this is my one concern about the bag so will be interested to see when mine arrives. I do have a habit of putting all sorts in my bag so might just have to be more economical with what I have in the bag

A buddy of mine has a Ghost stand bag and it looks and feels fantastic.   I’m holding out until they release a cart bag I can use with my electric push cart!  Anyone else in the same boat?

I know they have said for a while a cart bag is coming. Why don’t you think the any day model,will work on a push cart?

I use a Stewart Q10 cart.  The stated ideal weight of the bag, for best performance, is 27 pounds.  I can reach that weight easier with a larger bag.  Also, the slightly larger diameter of a cart bag fits much better and is more stable on the cart.  My current bag has a 9 inch diameter and I suspect 10+ plus is optimal.  I’m still considered buying a tour bag. Hope that helps.

Makes sense. That does seem like a lot of weight at the same time!

I am just trying to think of all the stuff I wouldn't need that I would be packing to get it to the weight. Not saying it is a bad thing at all! Just more my own thinking for someone who walks and usually keeps things on the lighter or more minimal side.

Thanks, does clarify.   Since I am one of the Ghost bag testers I wanted to better understand your perspective since it might influence how I test.  I just weighed my current bag which is a hybrid like the  Ghost bag and I am at 27 1/2 pounds so it’s easy to get over 27 .   I also assume you never take the bag off your Stewart cart?

A high quality bag + clubs + a few dozen balls gets pretty close to 27 lbs.  Intentionally lightweight bags are not a good starting point nor are stand bags.  But most high quality leather/pleather bags aren’t in that category anyway.  I have a lightweight stand bag I can transfer clubs into if I’m playing a course where caddies are used.

My Oreo Bag finally arrived! I only got around to unpack it and snap some pictures of it, but it feels and looks so so good . Let's see when I transfer all the clubs to it, the weather here is still very crappy at the moment, so I don't want to take this one into use right now...

The hat feels nice and very light. I only had it on my head for a minute so far. I can see that it will work nicely whenever the sun decides to come back here soon. I hope I can properly test the whole ghost equipment soon!

My back up plan, should it be needed is “Oh yeh I thought I told you. It’s another test from MGS that’s why it’s got the logo on the pocket”.

Only problem is she has a spookily uncanny knack of knowing when I’m not telling the truth.

Im sure hospital food isn’t as bad as it used to be, and if it is there’s always Uber Eats

Technically there is bag testing going on... so you won't be lying lol. Just show her the thread and it will buy you some time until she inevitably figures it out one evening...
