The Magic of Byron

I had Byron take a basic 006 303 AS model and totally trick it out to show what can be done. This putter features a lot of hand work.

 

• Custom, welded long round slant neck
• Hand milled face tuna swimming swimming down
• Hand rounded/radiused top line
• Custom stamping and paintfill
• Triple polish finish - (should have blue oil torched it too)
• 358 grams, 30* toe-hang

Oh, and she putts like a dream. Everyone that I have let try this FlatStick wants it. Butter!

Great putter. Now I personally don't like the Long Necks or the neck you picked out. But this has given me a look at how now I want to have a Custom Byron almost like yours, same head with a Santa Fe style Neck. The head Byron looks like the Newport 2 style which I love, but to have someone actually talk with me and me explain what I want i might have to go in person and have it done! NVGolfdude that's one sweet looking putter. Oh yeah love the head weight as well. i like a little heavier putter then the standard off the shelf 35" putter normally is. I'd like to try a couple in the 350-360 gram area.

That putter gets cooler every time I see it. I love the lime & navy paintfill. Keep us updated if that does get torched.

Thank you very much. I guess that I'll have to find some pictures of some even more impressive work that Byron has done. Hmmm. Maybe I'll post the finalists from the Byron Custom Putter of 2009 contest we held.

Maybe the coolest thing about Byron putters. For about $30 you get to demo one of the putters for a week or so and then mail it on the the next tester. At the end, there is a lottery and the winner buys it at half price, after Byron gives it the spa treatment. They pick about four or so models a year for the test program. 2010 test models should be revealed soon.

Thanks Shawn! The oohs and ahhs that putter gets everywhere I show it off are humbling. Right now it's on its way back from WV, where it was on loan to the lucky guy who picked up the 1st Off Bombora. He wanted to see the neck to decide if it was right for him. He didn't want to send the putter back, but I told him it wasn't for sale yet.
