nprotz
I recently swapped out my entire bag lol. Replaced some old wedges and got a 50 and 54 Sm8 to go with my 58 Sm8. Swapped out my old TM R9 TP 3w to a TM Sim Ti 3w. Had some Apex Pro 2019 irons I bought end of last year that I finally started playing. Thought I needed them bent but didn’t. They’re replacing my 2007 X-forged irons. Replaced a TM 3 hybrid with a Titleist Tsi2 18* hybrid. Replaced an old Scotty Studio 3.5 putter with an Odyssey Ten S. Then said what the heck and bought a Cobra Radspeed to replace a Callaway Rogue Subzero. The two best swaps were the putter and 3w. I couldn’t line up my Scotty to save my life. The 3w is a little longer but also has a stiffer shaft and I no longer hit pulls like I used to. The driver was the worst decision lol. I might sell it MattWillGolf, cksurfdude, fozcycle and 2 others 5 Quote Studio Design 2.5 putter. I had a Cleveland Smart Sole sand wedge for bunkers, and used that until I was confident with a normal sand wedge out of the bunkers. Think the chipper should stay in the bag for a while though, I have too many chip and two putts. Need more chip and one putts. Even if it goes out of the bag, will save it for when I play at Bandon. 4 minutes ago, MattWillGolf said: Is it Odyssey X-Act Tank Chipper? If so, I’m looking forward to your take on it. And then going to put on a Jumbomax grip. Would love if I could put a putter grip on it, but that wouldn't be legal. Popular Post juspoole
I've been looking to update my hybrid after i cracked the face on the range recently of my 3 hybrid, I was worried the same thing might happen to my 2 hybrid. Long story short, I received a new 818 H2 3 hybrid from Titleist, but while it was getting exchanged, I didn't have the need for it whatsoever. Thus I sold that club and used proceeds to buy the new TSI3 2 hybrid to update my current 818 H2 19*. I know that the TSI3 was lower in the most wanted hybrid rankings, but I've always loved the shape and performance of the 818 h2. When I had a hybrid fitting a couple years ago - nothing came close to the distance and accuracy that I was getting with this. Hoping the new version is just an update on this. I got it with the Hzrdus Smoke RDX shaft which I like, but will go back to the Tensei Blue if results change too much. Based on the limited testing I've been able to do, I would lean to the Z Star, Vice Pro, and Pro V1 in that order. I could play the Q Star Tour and not feel like I'm giving up a lot of performance, but it's realistically around the same price as the Vice Pro so there's no reason not to go with that if price is a factor. I would eventually like to try a Bridgestone ball as well but I have been able to play the Chromesoft, Snell MTB-X, Z Star XV and Left Dot. Biggest differences I noticed were the Chromesoft being noticeably softer (its nice but way down on my priorities list), all drives I hit with the Snell MTB-X seemed to be straighter (could be a coincidence but I didn't have one drive that was too far off the fairway), Z Star XV had less release for irons, and Left Dot definitely has a lower trajectory but FLEW when I got a hold of it. I honestly didn't dislike any of them but if you made me pick one out of those bunch right now, the Snell MTB-X felt great and it seemed like I was playing on the fairway way more often with it! I don't think that they were egregiously bad but the ball would smoothly return to the same spot up every time after using the index finger to lightly spin the ball floating. It wasn't abrupt but the ball would take a few spins afterwards and the sharpie dot I made would always return to the top. Good enough to knock around chipping in the yard or use on a water hole for fun but certainly wouldn't use them on holes that counted or for true putting practice.
