I haven't bought a putter from CC so I wasn't sure if it was like the full swing clubs where there was a premium added on. I just thought it was interesting that they advertised their free fitting by saying that the price was the same as retail. 2 hours ago, Getoffmylawn said: So at this point I have to ask, in all seriousness, what HAVEN’T you tried putter-wise? Was going to ask you if you’ve looked into Edel… Here is the serious answer: There is tried and tried on an actual course. You know I am one of the most wanted testers so that exposes me to most of the putters produced by the major OEMs and a quite a few of the more obscure OEMS. Adam is a putter guy as well and he has an amazing collection of putters. There used to be a wall of about 100 putters at HQ that were one offs, boutique brands, collectors items, and putters Adam had designed and I think I tried most of them. Yes, I have looked into Edel. They have been part of most wanted and I have also done a separate Edel fitting; just never pulled the trigger and don't remember the specs. My mind keeps considering a mallet putter even though I have never putted well with one; I just feel like I should and that maybe I just haven't given it the right focus. I think the biggest part of it is that I just want to experiment with putters, weighting, and shafts. While I know something like a shaft won't make a huge difference short term and it is really a long term minor improvement I want to learn more. I'd really like to try different weights, materials, and flexes just to see how they impact the putter, face control, and distance control. The edel fitting was great especially when we experimented with backweighting the putter to dial in distance control. My next experiment is installing a stroke lab shaft; that I found for a cheap price, in my gamer putter just to see what it does. cksurfdude, ZackS, sirchunksalot and 2 others 5 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: Sacks Parente MC 3 Stripe Backup Putters: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W, TM-180 Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017

GolfSpy_BEN
I'm in a unfamiliar frame of mind these days, in that my bag is settled and I'm not currently contemplating any equipment changes. The TSR3 driver is everything I had hoped it would be. I still love the Paradym TD woods. The titleist irons are unbelievable and with the addition of the 48° gap wedge, my wedges are exactly where I want them to be. The only area that might remotely qualify is putter and that is my idle curiosity regarding the LAB putters, but the Odyssey I am currently rolling is really quite adequate. That leaves me thinking about changing the grip on the Scotty Cameron I picked up during the T100s trade-in to a Garsen MAX, so that I can be more comfortable with that putter. The standard pistol grip that came with it is pretty, but functionally useless. Have no fear, I'm sure this period of contentment will soon pass. russtopherb
I put my D200s back in the bag so I could use graphite shafted irons for a bit after getting some forearm tightness my last couple of rounds... and I almost want to leave them in there. I moved away from them after not having any tennis elbow issues for a while, and I had been hooking them pretty badly for a bit. I went to heavier weight steel shafts in my D7s and that seemed to resolve things. But putting them back in and having a couple of range sessions plus a round... man I forgot how great they were getting through the turf and how consistent they can be. I think the D7s are longer by a few yards across the set, but I'll take better turf interaction and height over distance for sure. cksurfdude and sirchunksalot 2 Quote In my carry bag: ST-X 10.5* Kai'li Blue R Flex ST-Z 15* Kai/li Blue R Flex ST-Z 4h Linq Blue R Flex Launcher 5h Launcher CBX 6i-PW CBX 54* & 58* Huntington Beach #10 e12 Contact CURRENTLY TESTING - Mizuno Long Game

I went for a Cleveland fitting thinking the cbx’s would fit my profile. Surprisingly the RTX6’s were the clear winner. Took awhile to receive because of the back order of the recoil 760 shafts but these are amazing. chisag, cksurfdude, sirchunksalot and 1 other 4 Quote Driver: Fusion, 9 deg, UST Recoil 450 ES F3/2 430 MAX 4w (5w head delofted 1* with 3w shaft), 7w, 5h w/ Alta CB Soft Regular shaft JPX923 HM 6i - GW w/ UST Recoil 460 ESX F3 RTX6 52* and 56* with Recoil 760 ESX F2 Versa DB DoubleWide : Z-Star Tour

This is the exact reason so many of us recommend fittings. It's one thing to have your eye on a club and/or shaft that seems like it will be a great fit and of course sometimes it is, but probably just as often when going to a fitting a different club or shaft performs better. I have experienced this too many times to count. The last example is going to a Taylor Made fitting after narrowing down my choice to a Titleist TSR3. I went to the TM fitting expecting the Stealth2 to be the comparable driver and the last thing I expected was a Stealth 2 HD to outperform the TSR3 for my swing. To plagiarize your declaration "Surprisingly the Stealth2 HD was the clear winner." ... Congrats on your new wedges! cksurfdude, GaryF, ole gray and 2 others 5 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... To plagiarize your declaration "Surprisingly the Stealth2 HD was the clear winner." ... Congrats on your new wedges! What was nice was the fitter spent a lot of time with both the CBX and RTX6 and trying different shafts. I had with me my new Mizuno JPX 923s through GW (48*, Recoil 460 ESX F3) that I previously was fitted to and mentioned I was looking for probably a 52* and 56* with intended full swing (and partial) swing use. I told him I wanted wedges that would blend nicely with the Mizunos. So I wasn’t paying much attention to the flex, then after my club sent in the order I realized the wedge shafts were F2 flex. Concerned, I looked up the specs, and discovered the 760’s were within 2grams and almost identical torque as the 460. So to me, it’s a lot about trusting the process, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. ZackS
The status of my putter order finally changed from waiting on components. Is says expected delivery is the 26th to 29th which feels like an eternity. But at least it finally moving forward. Also hating Amazon right now as the ferrules I ordered should have been here yesterday and now it says they will arrive between the 18th and 21st so I just have heads and shafts laying around as I had already took the old ones out. Shlax
Well, I've been itching to get some variety in my bag recently. I have to get passed the culpability phase as I really want some change but have absolutely zero need for additional clubs. I'll be going the second-hand route to ease the blow on the wallet and I just realized that I have never ever hit Ping or Titleist clubs for some reason. I just never had the opportunity it feels like! I'm thinking of getting a Ping G400 driver or 5-wood and a Titleist 816H or 818H 3-hybrid. These clubs are still not cheap on the second-hand market given thsat they're Ping and Titleist. On the other hand, last years Cobra LTDx fairways and hybrids are on sale brand new as of now and at very agressive prices at that... The struggle!
