Dell match play in Austin TX with new bomber incidents.

After a couple of people have been killed with package bombs over the last few weeks, what are your thoughts with the Dell match play happening in the same city?

Just last night two more people in Austin were injured after initiating a device on the roadside when they triggered a tripwire..... crazy stuff!

I'm thinking event will continue as scheduled but with LOTS of extra security and screening.

Hoping that they find the person(s) responsible for this soon, but even if they don't I think the event will continue just with much tighter security in place.

What is up with people now a days? This is very, very sad. I think they will still continue on but with increased levels of security not only at the Dell match play, but at all large events in Austin until the perpetrator(s) are caught.

Honestly I think this event will probably be one of the safer places to be in the area with all the measures they take. That being said I'm from the Waco area so not too far from my neck of the woods and hope they catch those responsible as soon as possible and penalize them to the fullest extent.

This is so frustrating, saddening, aggravating, and generally pisses me off.  Catch this person or persons and prosecute to the extreme of the law.  

 

I just finished UniBomber on Netflix, and the disregard for life by Ted K. was infuriating.  This isn't to the same extent but it still has a similar theme.  Cowardness to kill or maim. 

 

I pray all of those affected find some sort of comfort.

Can you imagine what the people of Austin are thinking given how many packages are delivered daily by Fedex, UPS and USPS. If I lived there I probably wouldn't be ordering anything on line and looking closely at the shipping label for confirmation of what I ordered before I even picked up the box. 

 

This situation is totally senseless and a complete disregard for life. This is when I  wish we employed the 'eye for an eye' justice system in an expedient manner.

As others have stated, I think the tournament will continue and the people of Austin will continue to live their lives, but under increased security measures.   If we let the idiots that do such things impact our personal actions to live our daily lives as we wish, they win.   We should never let them win.

Yep, I am in Houston and I have already told the wife....no Amazon or any other packages for awhile....one a side note I am saving money all of the sudden
