Chirp Golf Betting App (Game)?

Anyone else receive an email today about this app/game? It looks interesting, very similar to FanBeat, which is sponsored by Callaway. I’d set up a MGS league if anyone else was interested in a little friendly competition.

I've been enjoying it so far - it does keep the tournaments interesting for no cost, and there are solid prizes, but it's really difficult/time-consuming to win one. I finally pulled one off last week (3rd place = 2 Miura wedges), but it took landing a longshot as the round 1 leader and a very active live session Sunday (I've mostly been just dropping some passive, early round longshot bets, and when I finally hit one, I started doing some more active stuff on the weekend). Prizes are way better for majors, but I'm not banking on winning one - likely won't have enough time to make that happen. 

If you're gonna play and want a chance at a prize, strategize. Avoid all full tournament bets - they tie up the money and don't pay out enough to give you a chance. You need to build up a bank and place big live bets (maybe single round bets too).

I'd be up for a MGS league if we can build up some interest.

Won today thanks to a glitch in the app been struggling with it freezing on occasion since their Royale updates. I was in second trying to go all in on Bubba making that last 5-footer and it froze - guy in first bet big on making it, and he missed. Miura wedge #3 coming in hot.

Just throwing it out there to clarify -- there is no actual betting on this app. It's simulated betting with all fake money. They give you a starting balance of $10k (again, fake) per session, and you "bet" that money however you want on live actions during PGA Tour events for 1-4 hours each round (depends on the tournament and the round). At the end of the session, whoever has the most fake money wins a prize, which is usually a gift card or golf club. They used to pay out the top 3-5 spots per tournament with larger prizes, but shifted to a single winner per round a few months back. No actual money changes hands in either direction, it's just for fun and you can win a prize. 

If you're actually looking for betting, it depends where you live. I think FanDuel and DraftKings have legitimate and trusted betting apps (separate from their more recognized DFS apps), and so does MGM, but in the US, they are only allowed in certain states where sports betting has been legalized. Here in Wisconsin, we can't use them...yet.
