McGolf
Got them in hand for a quick look see, The blade is nice. Clean as blades usually are. not much you can do with the design but they always look good the 223 is certainly an upgrade in appearance compared to the MP20 MMC. I like the new cavity appearance and the fact they are not afraid to say they now have a GW. The 225 although looks familiar, is a short blade length for a more compact head specifically at the lower end. My opinion would be the design was changed to flow though combo sets easier and give the over all set a higher level players look. The wedges will be an upgrade to the last model too with the addition of the copper head. Unfortunately LEFTIES are not part of that plan. However the 223 is. hartrick11
After the T-100s didn't knock me out (don't get me wrong they are still at the top of my list just not quite an "autobuy") and Ping came in too pricey with the i59s (and no i525 combo option yet), I am going to wait to check out these 223s and 225s before buying my next set. Blueberry_Squishie
They look a great product, but I just can't like the font they've changed to for Mizuno Pro. Has 0 effect on performance. I've tried searching for an article about it. Is it a heritage font or something like that? Edit: Just found out. It's the logo that has been used on the Japanese lines of irons previously. This release is going to be unified world wide with that logo. Still dislike the font. Sluggo42
I haven't ever really hit their hollow clubs. I guess I need to take a trip to Dunn rogers and check em out. I wonder if the new hollow clubs are better that the first edition. Seems they test well in here in the most wanted slot. I wonder if the blades aren't a good part of a combo set due to lack of distance compared to the multi compound/ hollow clubs... Ive had a lot of Mizzy blades over the years and always loved them, but I wonder what a full set of hollow clubs would do for me... On recoils, they would probably be so soft it would be hard to tell if I even hit the ball haha I still love my Hogans so much that I rarely contemplate other clubs... but if I did... I couldn't even consistently handle the JPX 919 Forged and those probably still have more tech than do the Mizuno Pro line. But I really like their look so I'll go into them with great optimism and high hopes! FWIW. There is a guy on WRX who has them and has been playing them for a week or two. Someone asked about them compared to the JPX Tour. He said they are much more forgiving than the Tours. So that’s cool to hear. in4par
They look tremendous and looking forward to testing against my MP 20's. I've been told they feel more solid but unsure how to take that. Numbers don't lie. Would definitely combo the 223 6 & 7 and then 221 8-PW. HMB in a 5 iron but I'm still searching for that perfect feeling, flying easy to hit off the deck 5 iron so who knows. I'll play around with that and look at the numbers. The T22 wedges are drool material and ditching Vokey for good. I think Club Champion gets these in hand to test and perhaps order through fitting on 12/6 which isn't far away now. I absolutley love this.....
