It works for me very well but that just makes me serviceable on the greens at best. It was an upgrade over complete train wreck so I have that going for me.

I’m going to put this out there since there are already some excuses for playing poor.   I am in the middle of taking some lessons so I am sure I will play poorly

I think I am going to be verrrrry careful with any side bets in this group.  It seems there is quite a bit of 'positioning' going on with the claims of the sad state of everyone's game!!   

I got enough of the "I just shot my career round" comments after giving 8-10 shots and seeing a 41 thrown in our nine hole league to know when to keep both hands on my wallet!     I guess I could take comfort in knowing I subsidized a CHA purchase and can read about it on here!

Hey it would be the highlight of my golfing life if .. IF .. I could shoot a career low round in the company of MGS hot shots!!

However... while I can hit a nice golf shot here and there I'm just not doing it often/consistently enough to score really well... (yet?)

   Yup...hate it when I have a good round going but then have the wheels fall of right at the end.

So what I am hearing is I won’t be getting any shots at all next weekend?  That is just not fair at all

Don’t know what you’re talking about.

On an unrelated note, think I pulled a hamstring playing today, but I’ll try to tough it out next weekend.  This hangnail is bothering me though.  Not as much as the stress of this move though….feeling so unsettled.  Of course, my kids are with the grandparents and I won’t see them until after this trip, so it’s hard to concentrate I miss them so much.  And this inflation is worrisome too…

I’m using new irons, I’m just finishing doxycycline for a tick bite, my hip is tight, and I’ll be working on a medic truck for two days before this trip

I'm gonna fill the tank before playing and hide some toll money in the car just so i don't get stuck driving back home!!

I have not heard anyone say that you can't drink shots during the weekend.

Actually I tease about the shots but 99.9% of the time I'm the designated driver of my group.  I'll have a beer or two and be good.

8:50 group...I think you all called out as walkers, so that's why we have you out setting the pace, we always here walkers claim, they leave carts in the dust, so here's your chacne to prove it      

But seriously, if it's unbearable hot, definietely take a cart to error on the side of safety. It's not a very shaded course especialy on the front nine.  Right now the extended daily only shows 89 and partly cloudy, so you might be OK

Titleist is doing a fittng day especially for this group, with 30 minute one on one fittings for irons and wedges.  Unfortunately the TSR will not be in the fittng cart just yet so they won't be able to see that...even I couldn't pull those strings....but don't think I didn't try...ha

To go along with the Tee Times, here are your fitting slots.  I'm going to post a link in the PM threaed for each of you to click on and go to sign up for your assigned times.  Any questions just ask me there.

Just so you know, there is a very specific Maryland State Law that states:

"It's illegal to take Jim Beam out of the state of Maryland any Sunday, after having played golf with MGS Members" 

All such liquor must be handed over to the MIRACC (Maryland Institute of Rob Alcohol Consumption Committee) 

Didn't want you to be caught off guard

Cool, thx Rob! Was thinking of riding Saturday .. try to conserve since energy for Sunday .. and the early Sunday before driving back .. but heck am totally open to changing so-called plans. Like you said, we'll check the total heat index first!!

@cksurfdude - the total heat index is expected to be 105* at 3PM!  At noon, it will "only" be at 101*. When we tee off it will still be a cool 92*heat index so dress appropriately and bring plenty of sunblock. SPF 200 should do it...

You sure you checked next Saturday and changed the location from Hell to Queenstown   I see the high as 88 at 3 and 82 at 9 am.   So shouldn’t be hateful for Aug.
