Gratuitous Photo Thread: Wilson D9 Forged

WIth Harry headed off to Wilson what better time to give Wilson Staff a little boost and show off their D9 Forged Irons. Wilson irons are criminally underrated and everyone I've talked to who has put them in their hands and tried them has loved them. Maybe it is the value they bring in a forged iron for a cheaper price or it is the name and the history of the brand, but there is no doubt the irons are seriously good. 

Have you played Wilson irons before? What was your favorite set or have you kinda forgotten about Wilson Staff altogether?

Very nice looking club.  I have a feeling it's a bit beyond my game.  Then again at times it's better to look good than to play good!

These D9 Forged feel great.  I had already spent my current iron budget for the year by the time I got a chance to swing these, but they are a great club... In my mind they took what worked so well for the "almost" infamous D7 Forged from a few years back (I believe they took back to back years of MGS Most Wanted titlese with that model), and gave it a technology facelift under the hood.  Really good and very playable irons IMHO.  I also tested the Staffs that day... and the traditionalist in me was enamored of those as well but that is another story for another day.

These have been my gamers since August. Was fit for PXG 0211s last December and vowed this would be the year I committed to - and played - one set of irons for an entire season. Then the D9 Forged showed up with KBS C-Taper Lite shafts and, well, you can guess the rest. 

These are special sticks, especially with the KBS shafts. While not nearly as long as the PXGs, dispersion tightened way up - especially with the short irons. And the feel is like getting a foot massage from a mid-1980s Kathleen Turner.
