So far, we haven't seen any impact. We are not part of the union, but I'm not sure if any of our suppliers have been affected.

Good Morning Everyone!  Work easy and play hard!!   Well, wife got the lawn mowed yesterday and I pruned evergreen shrubs; still have the largest one to do today.  My wrists get sore, just like they did last year.  I'm trying to take it easy and I have a few days until my next round of golf.  Supposed to get a shower today, but I might head to the course for some practice sessions this afternoon.

I have another therapy session at 7:15am tomorrow, and I have a massage at 4:30pm... good planning, huh?

Good morning everyone!

I have been out of town and away from the forum.  I missed a lot!  Back now for the foreseeable future.

My BIL and I played spontaneous, club rental golf yesterday for his first 9 holes ever.  He had always wanted to try it.  He has the fever for certain now, after a gorgeous 120-yard 9 iron shot to within 18 inches on his third hole (ever), which was better than any shot I hit all day.  What a great time.  Perhaps a future spy!

Man I missed my own clubs.  Played with very old, poorly gripped, knockoff Ping ISI irons with unusual graphite shafts and no name woods.  Yikes.  I know it should not make that much of a difference, but wow.

It is league night and couldn’t be more excited to play some fall golf tonight.  Its amazing that we go from 20ish guys to 4-5 after hot summer weather is gone.  Fall league is the best and plus we go eat and drink at a local restaurant afterwards since the quick darkness only allows 9 holes. If you dont do league I strongly encourage it.

Another sunny day here in central TN, albeit a bit chilly. Looks like our season is rapidly coming to a close.

Time to start working on how to set something up in the garage.

I have come to the conclusion that one of life's greatest gifts is a cup of black coffee after an evening sitting in hospital waiting room with your kid. All good though. a couple stitches to bring the chin back together and a popsicle did the trick.

Back to work today, playing catchup after the three-day weekend. Doesn't look too hectic at work so far, time will tell...

Slipping back into late summer temps today , but looks like we will be back on track by the weekend. Have a lesson lined up after work, keep building on recent good progress.

The cold weather continues to settle in and there's rain in the forecast for the foreseeable future. Unlikely to get much golf practice in besides slow motion swings in my apartment and maybe a simulator session at my local PGA Superstore. 

Wedding is fast approaching in a few weeks and there's lots to do to keep me busy. In desperate need of a large coffee!

Good morning everyone, another crisp morning in Western pa. No more 8:30 start times 1:00 unless we get warm weather again. The number of golfers keeps dwindling just us 5 or 6 diehards left. Going to Augusta next week hope the weather is nice. Hit them well and most importantly have fun.

Good morning spy's...

From the beautiful "wet" coast of Vancouver Island, we are receiving some much needed precipitation this week and looks like into next week with a few breaks so hoping to get out to the practice area.

I am gaming my Takomo 301-MB's now and really enjoying them, I have noticed the face of the club is hotter than my Miura's so I will spend time today around the practice chipping green with my PW maybe some 7 irons bump and run shots. 

I play Wednesday in a year ending Senior's club scramble then Thursday with my regular group, hopefully the weather cooperates.

Was busy on calls (stupid work) earlier so just getting time to post. Clear and cool today in central Ohio, sun helps a lot with the cool wind. Hope to get to the range later this week. Been trying techniques to “work the ball” intentionally as opposed to working it unintentionally (as my usual course of play). 

Remember, tomorrow is “World Mental Health Day” so…. GO PLAY GOLF!!!!

A Chilly Central Florida morning at 7am tee time - 66 degrees & very breezy, which made it cooler.  I know you all are feeling bad .  Nice to walk 18 holes today. 
Really comfortable walk weather wise.

Appreciate it. I spent some time living in Tyler, TX as a younger man. I found the climate definitely agreed with me in the winter months. Summers were akin to hell though.

Tyler if a fabulous area, great golf courses. Agree about our summers… I will admit that when I was much,much younger and without constant adult supervision that I use to state that the summer detoxifying heat and humidity was there to be used to counteract our actions of liberally imbibing. Grumble, grumble something something Spies,

Got a case of the Mondays on a Tuesday. Woke up at 4am to take my parents to the airport in rainy Rochester. Had my morning cuppa in the car. Got them there fine. On the thruway home I was a hungry. Stopped at a newly remodeled Rest Area. NY State is going crazy with the Rest Area remodeling. I thought a chicken biscuit from as my son calls it “The Lord’s Chicken”. But while they were supposed to be open, the “cheerful” (she wasn’t cheerful) informed me that they weren’t open and didn’t know when they would be open. Ok, plan B, Starbucks. I wait and wait. They appear short staffed. I ordered the bacon, Gouda & egg sandwich. Cheerful employee of the day number 2 informed me they were out of it. It’s 7am. Shuffle back to the car for the ride home. Fast forward 2 hours. SWMBO obeyed informed me she has tested positive for COVID. I tested negative so I got that going for me. But when we got COVID last year I tested positive 2 days later so I got that to look forward to. I guess I’m a late bloomer.

But honestly given the state of the world things could be worse. I am most grateful for the time spent with my parents.

It is Wednesday my spies, meaning the downward slide to the weekend is on. 
   One of the benefits of working for “ those people “ is that almost all of my work sites are fairly remote. There are still parts of the state that have 100 miles or close to it between fuel/water/food options. There are still times I drive a hour or so and not encounter another vehicle. These  drives offer solitude and serenity which are good for reinvigorating my soul. The part of Texas that I have been working, while not as harsh and as deadly beautiful as the Big Bend, still has it’s moments. The closer to the border the more traffic. Seems that possibly  because of the increased “ unpleasantness “ at the border, that at least one trucking company is hiring unsavory individuals of ill repute, to ride shotgun on their trucks… 

Doubtful if this ends well…   
   After a long day of stress relief from  “ mentoring “ and refreshing the spirit on the quiet drive back… I should be able to be steadfast in whatever onslaught the female overlord sends my way. If not, there is always sanctuary to be had at the golf course.  
    Wednesday my spies is just a time to exhale before gearing up to attack the weekend… Fairways and greens, my friends, fairways and greens.

@MattWillGolf I hope your wife gets to feeling better quickly and that you can avoid getting sick. 

It's a beautiful morning here in TN, mid 50's and clear. It's been a bit stressful at the Chunks house trying to take care of my late mother-in-law's estate. Won't go into details, but my wife is stressed out.

On a positive note, the foot is feeling so much better and I can see a glimpse of golf in my future. I'm really thankful to have all of you as support these last few months.

Good morning MGSpies on a wet cold WNY Wednesday, thank goodness it is a zero commute day with computers getting onto the network from the basement command center  coffee too hot for anything but Sumatra air freshener at this point - golf yesterday moved from my intended County course in Buffalo where it was raining heavily with wind to the other County course in Elma with light rain and not much wind, nobody on either course (I wonder why ) so played 9 holes on what amounted to a private golf course with a full staff, doesn't get any better than that!  They said I probably wouldn't need a tee time for the rest of the season and next tee time is this afternoon.  Hope golf is a part of your day

Good morning!  Low 60's and high of 81 today.  I am loving the cooler weather after a long hot summer.  I can hit the range or the course and not look like I ran 10 miles.  Golf gloves last more than 3 rounds.  Have kid duties this morning so the wife can go to her closing but plan to hit the range this afternoon and hoping that the club I ordered from Callaway yesterday is coming out of the Austin location and gets here quicker than expected.

Good Morning everyone!!  Physical therapy at 7:15am and my massage that was at 4:30pm got moved up to 9:00am.  The good news is that the therapy location and the massage location is only a block apart and there is a nice coffee house in-between where I can grab some breakfast.  Then the golf course is only 1/4 mile away and the rain will stop by then.  Will spend an hour with short game practice.
