Very sorry for the Bills fans rhat have to live with another wide right miss.  I was hoping they would get past the chiefs.

Hoping the warm up this week gets rid of the snow.  I needs to clear off the putting green a little so the sun can do its magic and i can get back to my mental health sessions!

It is 20* in the NE suburbs of Cincinnati with a climax of 40* today. We are looking for warmer days by Thursday which means I will be having a therapy session at the local range. It is going to be a tad wet, but I have the pontoon and oar ready if needed. May your Munnnday be quick, coffee hot, and your creditors appeased!

I agree though, the New Balance options seem to be really nice. Have golf shoes and love them.

I have super wide feet and found Altra's a few years ago. If you can put up with constant "clown shoes" jokes from your significant other the comfor offsets the ugliness. They're not quite as ugly as Hoka's, but close.

Good morning Spies,

Very long weekend, and not in a good way. 14.5 hrs and 13 hrs online working over the last 2 days. The upgrade was hit with every type of issue and problem that just made it a mess. We made it through in the end, but only got 1 of the 2 upgrades done because of it. So I'll end up having to go down another weekend myself to help get the second upgrade done. Hopefully it won't be as much of a mess, but I'm sure it will. The last 2 upgrades were both messes. Sometimes all the hype around vendor's gear being easy to work with or easy to upgrade is just marketing garbage written by people who've never touched or managed the gear they're writing about.

Anyway, I think the cold spell is behind us. It'll get to 60* on Wednesday. But starting tomorrow morning, it's going to rain until Sunday morning. Yuck, again. Just a different yuck.

Anyway, back to the grind with not a lot of sleep and definitely no rest in the last few days.

Good morning! Catching up on this thread after a busy weekend. Looks like just about everyone is getting out of the stupid temps and back into more tolerable ones. I'm currently bombing around in my lightweight pullover with temps at 29*. Feels like spring compared to the last week! Already had a productive morning with a 405 wakeup, got the office opened up, then destroyed my chest and tri's in the gym. Go get you some and make today great!

Good morning Spies!

It’s back to work for me. No golf plans really, unless I have time tonight to continue on my current iron refurb project.   Tinkering with that last evening gave me my weekend golf fix.  More to come on that front.  
 

I am looking forward to what may be a quiet workday for me.   Lots to do, but time to do the work, which is a very nice combination.

Good Monday morning all!

Had a lovely weekend up here in the cold Northeast. We braved the elements and played some pond hockey and skating on Saturday for a couple hours before we were all frozen, but still felt great to get out there. Then yesterday my mother in-law came over and watched the kids while the wife and I got a date day in. We went for a big cross country skiing afternoon, then went out for a bit of dinner which was a great day. Looking forward to another busy work week and having some things to get done.

My running shoe guy that get me into them told me that "your feet don't give a f*** what your shoes look like, so why should you?" Sound enough advice for me, but it does get old when my wife asks for balloon animals when I wear them.

As for yesterday, what an eventful day for sports.

• Rory w/ the win in Dubai. 
• Nick Dunlap showing his strength in a professional setting. Though he didn't get a 1st place "pay day", I'm confident he'll be compensated in due time.
• As for the Bills, that was a tough loss. At least Josh had his chances in the 2nd half.

Now, just waiting for the snow to melt in northwestern PA. ️

I made an earlier post about my backyard ice rink and on Saturday my wife thought she was Peggy Fleming and decided to skate again for the first time in several years with a friend..

it ended with a CT scan and a mild concussion...  (wear a helmet kids...)

 

but the neighbor kids (and parents) came over and had a blast! One of my neighbors next door is an engineer and he used his sump pump and a garden hose to put a fresh coating on the ice.

 

I spent my time indoors and finally made it to a simulator. They must juice those things so people come back. My 7 iron doesn't go 200 yards...

Couldn't be happier for Nick Dunlap. Nerves of steel. Even I was having trouble breathing watching him come down the stretch. WOW! So many great young players on tour now.

 

Bummed for the Bills, Texans and Pack... all good young teams with bright futures though.
Gutted for the Bills kicker. Wide right, again. (90's Bills reference)

Excited for the Lions. Really hope they can finish the job. Such an exciting team that loves to play together

• Avoid heavy lifting (anything greater than a pound) with the affected arm for two days following discharge.
• Do not operate a lawnmower, motorcycle, chainsaw or all-terrain vehicle  
• Avoid excessive extension and flexion wrist movements
• Do not engage in vigorous exercise (tennis or golf )using the affected arm

I actually waited 65 hours.

Good morning! Yesterday I took the kids out sledding for a couple of hours and walking my youngest and the sled up and down the hill all afternoon has my legs very sore this morning! Everyone had fun and no one got hurt, so I'm calling it a success. 

Today it's back to the grind and I've got a VERY dark roast black coffee in hand. Everyone at work this morning is buzzing because of the Lions victory yesterday. I don't care too much, but it's fun to see everyone else's excitement.

Last time I was on skates was when I was a H.S. sophomore in Fargo ND in 1963... I don't think so!!!

Good morning all from a not sub zero Wisconsin! First time in a good 9 days we haven't woken up to negative temps, currently 23 and feels like a heat wave! 

Bummed that the Packers season ended the way it did against SF on Saturday night, but in the end you need to be able to capitalize on mistakes. SF was able to turn two bad throws into INTs, Pack couldn't. Pair it with three red zone trips and only 6 points to show for it plus a missed FG and you've got yourself a recipe for disaster against the #1 seed. 

Definitely feel good about next season, and while I was absolutely gutted with another playoff loss, this team outperformed expectations tremendously, so it feels just a little less painful than some of the other playoff losses where expectations were there.

Was happy to see the Lions pull off a win yesterday and hoping they can knock off the 9ers! That fan base has endured mediocrity and poor teams for so long. Dan Campbell is a super likeable coach so I am hoping they go all the way. After this year, though, no more Mr. Friendly division rival fan
