Popular Post CSiders12
Good morning! Early morning for me today as I am trying to get back into the habit of working out. I haven't not been good about that lately and decided I need to kick it into high gear. Biked 5 miles to get it started pretty easy. Hopefully, this is a journey to consistent workouts. In other news, I booked a driver fitting at The Seventy for a Sub70 driver. Not this weekend, but the next weekend, I am meeting my father-in-law to get fit. I'm excited to try out their driver and talk to the professional. Going to get back into the golf season in full swing... pun definitely intended. Popular Post ILMgolfnut
Good morning Spies! Road trip again today, four hours over to Charlotte, then drive back tomorrow afternoon. No chance for a round, but I do plan to stop by First Tee again for a bucket of balls with Garmin data, probably combined with a Rypstick workout, or at least getting some swing speed numbers for Rypstick. Fortunately First Tee has sheltered bays on its range; it's likely to be raining when I get there. Vet trip went well, other than the three-legged cat did not want to be examined and certainly not vaccinated; she was in vicious mode. In excellent health. My other cat, though, still has some kind of skin issue and has shredded her head and neck by scratching. I picked up some liquid steroids to give her twice a day for a while; she just got her morning dose. GF will administer the medicine while I'm gone. I neglected to mention after last week's round at Pinehurst how far along things have gotten in US Open preparation. There are hospitality tents taking up much of the Maniac Hill practice area, which allegedly was the first practice range in golf history, and they are starting to build the bleachers near the 18th green. There is also construction on the first fairway of #1 course; we played it as a short par 3 instead of a par 4. The locals I was playing with said that 1 and 18 of #1 will be closed in April, and there were tracks of construction equipment on the 18th fairway. I'm guessing that will make #1 a 16-hole course for a few weeks, but maybe they close #1 entirely. @Tom the Golf Nut I spent almost three years living in Tulsa. It's quite cold this time of year and boiling in July and August. Edited March 27 by ILMgolfnut berkeleybob, ejgaudette, Big moose and 14 others 16 1 Quote Obsessed with chasing the dimpled orb. Popular Post Dead Solid Bogey
Good morning MGS…. The confused day of Wednesday is upon us. More rather bland old people stuff on the agenda for the day. The “bag” and all of it occupants continue to be held in sensory deprivation. NO golf for the foreseeable future. Doing a little, very little toting of the bale and towing the barge, grunt work, for you know who… Basically just another day on this side of the grass …errr in my case “weeds”. Here is to hoping that this mid-week day is one that finds you doing what you can, and doing it to the best of your ability. I am off to get some practice in at yelling and shaking my fist at the fence posts in preparation for dealing with work crews next week. sirchunksalot, Cfhandyman, Swood1994 and 15 others 16

Popular Post IndyBonzo
Good morning, Spies! Sending prayers your daughter's way @Girldad18. May she get a good report. No golf for me today, but I have a bit of afterglow after a breakthrough/reset lesson yesterday. I had my swing all screwed up trying to fix my over the top motion I have been struggling with (and slowly fixing). We went back to some basics from last year, and the result is a much more comfortable swing for me that I know works, because it worked well for me last summer. Why did I not just do that? This silly game. This is why coaches are so invaluable if, like me, one does not have the experience to analyze the swing completely. Now to keep working on it so it becomes second nature. Again. I hope you all have wonderful days with golf involved. jbern, rkj427, berkeleybob and 14 others 16 1 Quote Working at getting better ... and very slowly getting there. Popular Post William P
Good Wednesday morning Spies! Day is starting off on the cold side but should warm up nicely. Today is yard day but hopefully I can sneak off later in the day and get some range time in. Still working on getting the driver AOA to a positive position at impact... Not sure what it is going to take to get to shallower swing plane, but I will persevere... Wishing you a speedy recovery and return to the game @Dead Solid Bogey. Everyone have a great day and if you get the opportunity hit 'em straight!
