A good morning to all and happy Thursday.  Enjoying my morning espresso catching up on all the posts.  So how many people are going to apply for the L.A.B. Putter testing opportunity?  That should be a very fun one. It’s a cold morning here after yesterday’s monsoon rains. Will it rain or possibly snow today? Mother Nature usually dictates that it snows once the first week of April.  Just to piss you off.  Enjoy your day.

Life is awesome on the west side of michigan.  April 1st my local golf course opened for the season, Benona Shores Golf Course.  It is a nice executive course and I was there before 10am.  I tried out my new Accros sensors and figured out how to edit and see range to the pin.  It was a beautiful day.  Plan on going back Tuesday.  Two reasons for wanting to play more; one it was very relaxing getting back into the swing of things,  two I need to play 90 rounds till I can use the Arccos caddie ai.  Yes, big kid here.

Good morning everyone. Irons and wedges should be ready today after getting some new shafts put on. Hopefully I can get to the range this weekend but have a pretty slammed weekend. Also patiently waiting for the Good Good YT video that was filmed at my home course to come out!

Good Morning All!

Happy Thursday (pre-Friday). Terrible weather here the past several days and today…..it is snowing….. yuck

I haven’t been on in a bit because my new job has consumed all of my time, even into the evenings. Another week of this and I should be able to come up for air. 

Today is National Burrito Day and Jeep 4x4 Day so….. jump in the Jeep and go have a nice fat burrito  today for lunch!

Good morning Friends! 

I hope you have had a splendid week so far! It is almost over. Looking forward to the weekend, even after a short weekend. I book a tee time for April 19th at Sky Valley Country Club in GA, and looking forward to it. I will be playing it since my wife will be "prepping" for a wedding she is a bridesmaid in on the 20th. Good morning Spies, and happy Friday Eve!

It's a bit nippy this morning, and overcast. 40* and apparently it got below freezing last night. Hopefully this is the last cold spell and we can get the golf season started. Although it looks like it's going to rain Sunday eve through at least Thursday next week. Ugh.

Nothing to report on the laundry room remodel as it hasn't been touched in a few days. Dad's coming out today to get the walls prepped and sprayed with texture. Then he'll paint tomorrow, and we can hopefully get the remaining cabinets up Saturday or Sunday. It'll be nice to get this done and off our list.

Good morning gang!

After traveling to FL this weekend to see the in-laws, and having a bad flight back (delays, weather, laaate night) I’m starting to feel back to normal. I was able to get my first data set on full swings with the PING S158 wedges and the results were great vs. my current gamers. Excited to hear more feedback as I keep testing.

Tonight is my first Spark Golf league with my brother in law. It’s a bit wet and cold, especially compared to the weather we’ve been having in STL (and my Florida weekend). We’re playing 9 holes at the Hawthorne course in Forest Park. The Ping wedges went straight in the bag after my practice session so I’m excited to see how they perform on the course!

Good morning everyone. Cool but sunny morning and the wind has finally calmed down. Taking a few days off to be with family that are in town after the FIL passing. Hope to get out to the range a little bit these next few days and clear the head. Looking forward to the community call later today. Guessing there will be lots of news about the LAB test opportunity. @Fongle, very sorry to hear about your uncle. Cancer sucks, no other way to put it. My uncles were like fathers to me since I didn’t really have one in my life growing up. Hope the next couple of months go smoothly as possible. Make it a great day everyone and hug the ones close by.

Good morning Spies,

Another wet bleh day in CNY. Not much on tap today. My morning cuppa is being accompanied by the last piece of my Nonni’s sherry wine cake. I have a massage this afternoon. Hoping it works some magic on my cranky shoulder. According to FedEx my Black Ops driver is out for delivery.
It was a most pleasant surprise to see the latest test opportunity posted. L.A.B. Golf has been front of mind lately when it comes to putters. I’d highly recommend listening to the podcast series on L.A.B. Golf that Fire Pit Collective did.

@Fongle so sorry to read about your uncle. Sending prayers your way for your uncle, you and your family.

@Dead Solid Bogey sending much love and healing prayers your way. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery so your angst is from golf rather than health. You are blessed to have a good woman to keep you in line. I can relate on that one.

Every morning I’m reminded that I am blessed to be a part of this community.

Hi Spies! Been a minute as my mornings are generally chaos. The weather here is bueno, 17-22 degrees, golf is abundant, my bell was rung for a membership at the local course here so just figuring that out but unlimited golf seems great! Work is bananas, but it’s feast or famine so here we go. It has unfortunately taken my gym time away from me but we’ll get there. 
 

I hope everyone has a wonderful day, week, and however long it is before I get back here. Posting in this one always makes the day feel awesome!

Finally, the fog has burned off and we can say Good sunny morning to everyone! I think we're finally going to be able to get outside today at lunch to work that drive swing some more.... maybe go hit nine after work if the sun stays out. Lack of sunshine does make me stir crazy for getting outside and enjoying golf the proper way! 

@Fongle, so sorry to hear that news.... heartfelt wishes from my family to yours for finding that inner peace and calm through your situation.

Make sure you all enjoy the time you have playing with friends and family, and if you haven't done so recently, give a family member a call or message and tell them you love them.

Today is a road trip with my son from NY to Charlotte for a college visit. Going to be a long ride and thanks to my son we did leg day together today. I will accept our thoughts and prayers that I can get since I may not be able to walk tomorrow. My son now understands country strong and I now understand that I am no longer 18 years old anymore.

Good morning Spies!!

After playing in a golf tournament last Saturday where I was "over served," I haven't played or gone to the range because it's been a total washout (some combination of rainy, cold, and overcast) here in DC every day since. I'm so desperate to hit I may take the dramatic step of going to Top Golf if courses around here don't dry out enough to play over the weekend.

Good news is that I'm meeting a couple of the boys up at Bulle Rock in 11 days for my first "travel" round of the year. We couldn't get it together for a full-blown golf trip this year, so we decided that we're going to get together once a month to play some of the nicer courses between DC and Philly.

To say I'm excited is an understatement; home course is in rough, early season, shape and better conditions at Bulle Rock will be much appreciated. I shot 98 there last year and I seem to play better/concentrate harder when I play more challenging courses.

Good morning Spies! Woke up yesterday with a sore neck, but it wasn't just a slept on it wrong kind of sore, it felt like somebody had punched me in the back of the head. Tried hot showers, stretching and ibuprofen, and it's only gotten worse. So I'm on the DL until it subsides.. However, reading this thread continues to remind me that a lot of people have it a lot worse than I do. So onward and upward. I hope.

Big meeting of my department with the CEO in about 90 minutes. Hoping he will give us a clue as to where the company, and the 9 of us in my department, are going over the next year or so.

Another gloomy day in Chicago with highs in the low 40s. I'd really like to retire my winter coat for the year, but Mother Nature has other plans.

Looking forward to the Community Call this afternoon. Something to look forward to during a busy work week with crappy weather outside.

Good morning spies and happy Thursday. We are officially one week away from round one of The Masters! One of my favorite events of the year and the first time we will get to see all the big names in action in one place. Will certainly be some great golf to follow along with and as of right now I have zero plans to distract me from consuming as much of it as possible.

Still trying to kick whatever cold I have taken on this week. My voice is nearly shot, and I have three exercise classes to get through yet today with vocal instruction throughout all three. Keeping my water bottle close and some lozenges in my pocket. Looking forward to today's community call as I missed last week!

Top of the pot spies!  Working on my second cup and shaking out the cobwebs.  The "smart watch" my sister and BIL gave me for my birthday has all those health monitor functions to include "sleep".  It says I got 7 hr. 48 min of sleep of which 2 hr. 2 min. were deep sleep.  That's pretty good according to most information I've read on sleep patterns.  

I know I slept better last night than the night before... when I woke up around 0300 and then starting thinking about the final round of the Men's League Championship.  I'm not gonna lie, I was nervous all morning .  I promised myself not to look at the live leaderboard and just kept saying FIR's and GIR's.  After shooting a 1 under par front, I was (unknowing of the specifics) 8 strokes ahead on #10 tee.  I picked up one more stroke on that hole.  

The back nine got a little loose, and I think I did start tightening up a little, but I held on to win first place.  232 gross/216 net for an even par finish. Never having played a 54 hole event like this, I now have a wee little personal experience of what it must be like for the pros... think Brian Harman last year at The Open.

The two balls I used are marked with the individual round gross scores and, along with the scorecards, are headed to my small collection of golf memorabilia. 

Lastly, I don't think this happens were I not part of MGS forum.  The information I've gleaned here along with the PING G410P driver and the Odyssey AI One Milled putter I tested/reviewed, and are now star players in my quiver, are BIG parts of my games improvement over the past 7 years.

Good morning all!

Man is that LAB DF3 test tempting.... Everyday I log onto the forum I get one step closer to pulling the trigger on a LAB. this may be the clincher.

Another gross rainy snowy wet day here in CNY which pushes any golf related activities indoors for the foreseeable future. But the Community Call today makes this better!
