Good Morning everyone!  I hope everyone working today doesn't overdo it; I know it's tough to pace yourself after a long layoff!!  😂  I'm headed out today to talk to the patio cover experts; if I can't get mine fixed, it's getting replaced... it's time.

Good morning spies!

Back to reality after a long weekend. Having a short week helps a bit but will be a busy one at work. Hoping to fit in a range session or two before my next round on Sunday.

Slept terribly so it's feeling like a two coffee morning for me.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Top of the pot spies ☕.  We've got the doors and windows opened as it was 71F when we awoke at 0530 this morning.  It's been over 3 months since we've been able to do this.  My bike ride over to the gym felt almost chilly 😊. Have a great day all!

Great Story!  He did not work for General Motors by any chance?

A former plus handicapper who must settle for mid 70s to mid 80 scores today.  After taking 10 years off due to back issues, my driver length has decreased by 40 yards on average.  I look forward to any training aids, shaft improvements, club enhancements to get back part of what was lost.

Good morning and TGIFF my fellow Spies!

Friday_Yoda.jpg.78eb26fff8e84ac8fd8172b005c6cd7e.jpg

It's been a bit of a bad week for me, mainly after my follow-up appointment with my doctor to review my blood work results. Needless to say, many health-related changes are on the horizon for me beginning immediately. I have 60lbs to lose and several important numbers to reverse.

Luckily weather looks good for my swing lesson tomorrow and my round of golf on Sunday. With the extra day off, I might even squeeze in another on Monday.

Everyone enjoy the long weekend! Golf on!

I’m in a similar situation here after my annual physical and bloodwork. I want to avoid medication so, I’ve upped my exercise, (signed up with a running coach), reduced my sugar intake (and beer). Good luck. You’ve got this. 🙌🏼

Hey Matt, you got this too. I don't want to be given meds either and I'm hoping after this 6 months my cholesterol will be good enough I can stop. Everything can be managed and improved if we just put our minds to it and make it happen. At least that's what I'm telling myself. 🙂

...whew, what a weekend.
drove to north Jersey on Saturday.
drove in to NYC to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Sunday with the in-laws (early 80's)
father-in-law was walking down steps to the cellar in front of me on Sunday, stumbled, fell down 4 steps, landed on hip/shoulder/head, ambulance took him to the hospital and he has a broken hip and had surgery
drove home exhausted on Monday (long, long ER stay)
back to work today

if you are on the fence about going to the Met don't doubt yourself, it's worth the trip. I'm not really an 'art' person although my wife is (art history degree) but some of these works are amazing.
Manet, Monet, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Pisarro, Seaurat, etc.

This is one of the most awe-inspiring works in the American Wing.
It is enormous; my 16 y/o son in front. The only time the entire day where he said "wow".

Keep telling yourself!  You can make it happen.  I did it over two years and at 76 I am now off metformin, lost 60 lbs, BP is great, and cholesterol is in good shape.  I still have 25-30 lbs to lose but I did it slow, so I'm in no rush to lose the remainder.  It's a great feeling.

Sorry to hear about your FIL; hope he recovers quickly!

I haven't been to the Met in NY, but in 2003 I had a free day while in St. Petersburg Russia and spent it at The State Hermitage Museum, part of the Winter Palace... fabulous works of the Masters!

Agreed 100%.  Drugs suck…attempt to fix one thing but screw up 5 more body parts.  My father and mother both had blood pressure issues, they took prescribed meds.  Screw the meds!  Do minimal research and determine what to eat and what to take as vitamins and other supplements, you will be better off in the long run!  Supposed to be hereditary…my sisters all have the same issues and taking the prescribed meds.  My BP is 112/61 and nothing taken other than herbs, vitamins and eat half way smart.  Oh, and two vodkas daily.

Good morning all, busy work day yesterday and just hot. Not going to really let up for the rest of the week and it sucks but fall weather is on its way. More work today but maybe a lake trip to cap off the day given the weather. No golf till the weekend, but owe an update in the How Did you Play thread from last week, had some good success lately.

I hope everyone has a great day and golf if you can.

Good morning Spies from a warm and muggy Michigan. Rain later, so any outdoor activities after work more than likely won't happen today. Best thing for me on this "hump day" is FedEx notice that the MGS Jones bag should be delivered today if all goes according to their schedule.

Make your day the best it can be, and if golf is in your plans enjoy the day no matter the score.
