Trust me I feel the pain in my back too with the Barometric pressure low. We have had some cool nights lately but it is 60* right now forecast is a high of 77 tomorrow

You are going to laugh at me on this. Born and raised in the South I have never played Horseshoes. My Moose Club has a Horseshoe League that plays on Saturday Mornings and some of the guys are wanting me to come out. Usually on Saturday mornings I am on the Par3 with my wife. I figure when it starts getting cooler she will not want to play. I will go over one Saturday and watch. I really do not want to commit to a league because I like playing the Par3 with my wife too much

Good morning everyone! 

My wife got the computer packed up and sorted for UPS to pick up this morning. She was just going to bed when my alarm went off so I can imagine she's going to be sleep deprived something terrible. She had to make a run to Walmart to buy a external hard drive because the computer fried our old one and she wanted to back up her files. 

Owning a CLX computer has absolutely been a miserable experience so far the only thing it might be good for is a boat anchor. I naturally feel bad because she wanted me to research them and I didn't do a good job at all of picking a reliable one.

Other than that, it's a nice morning here and I'm just drinking coffee trying to wake up.

Good morning!

Was another beautiful day here with it sounds like two more to come. Was the usual day work wise with some meetings with other things getting done. Also was able to help my son wrap up his writing assignment which is always fun to see what he comes up with. This time is was related to that presentation he saw on Paleo Indians, so he wrote about how he could survive in the Younger Dryas period (a time in the ice age) which is when the things found in the presentation were from. Its great how much he love learning, though when that turns into needing to know something right as he falls a sleep that can be shall we say interesting.

Another normal day ahead with work and time with the family. Should be another nice day.

Coffee is brewing and catching up on all the threads.  I am also getting some work related items knocked out so that I am not falling behind with the round this morning.  Weather should be good and need to get down to the range with plenty of time to stretch and loosen up with it being a morning round.  

@sirchunksalot don't sweat the computer issues.  I know it's an inconvenience but hopefully they make it right for you.

Good morning MGSpies from the dark downtown streetlight glow sipping coffee listening to G Mills' Sassafras on Pandora, office today for this rendition of workday. New employees to brief and no doubt another chilly day near the a/c end of the office has me looking forward to shedding the layers for an afternoon 9 holes in upper 70s late summer heat in Autumn.  Yesterday was a good round and was paired with a golfer in town from the Richmond VA area to catch a Sabres and Bills game he does each year having been a local native growing up.  Many similarities for early life experiences and choosing military as the primary focus of adult life. We discussed many things including Kingsmill courses, Royal New Kent and he even has a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max D driver and was interested in my shaft as a possible direction for his next improvement, he certainly plays well and sends the ball in no handicap needed play. Wondering who I'll meet today!

Morning all. Another duty day today and rather tired as didn’t finish until nearly midnight and was back in for 0900 this morning. Thankfully I’m off tomorrow and playing in a tournament so got that to look forward to.

Beautiful day yesterday, took a work call on the road to get to the course early and I wasn't early enough.
I was out-slackered by a whole lot of slackers and the course was already packed.

Today is a new day with the promise of Newton shaft delivery.  C'mon UPS Dan!

@sirchunksalot hope they get your wife's computer sorted out sooner and to her complete satisfaction, to take some stress off of you.

@ZJeb67 hope that your company hasn't gone the way of many, where everyone just "meets expectations" so that they can keep any merit raises low and equal, even if one is more deserving than another.

I have a tee time at 11:30 with one regular partner, and we already know we will be paired up, as the course looked to be "booked" when we made this reservation due to the great weather in October.

Have a meeting at Leader Dogs this evening, so hoping to be back here afterwards.

Always had managers agreement, or even state things better than I would on my "self-assessment" but then the "political arena" of executive leadership and HR would make the final call as I mentioned above.

Slowly getting back into the routine after being away this past weekend. Went to the range last night to continue working on the swing. "You couldn't take one day off of golf, could you?" said my wife, lovingly 

Seeing a movie after work this evening with my wife and one of our friends. We used to love going to the movies regularly pre-pandemic, so I'm looking forward to it. Something about a good movie in a theatre just hits different.

@Cfhandyman beautiful paintings by your wife. You're lucky to be surrounded by such talent!

A fine good morning to all. Another warm and beautiful October morning, so trying to get in as many rounds as possible, before the snow begins to fly.  Since I’m not alone in this thought, the courses will be very busy.  So yes, it will be slow, but at least I’m golfing.  The view from yesterday’s round.

Morning!! Moving slowly today; lower back still a little tender from being stupid over the weekend...

Would like to get some range and maybe course time in for more testing, but might be smarter to wait another day (so yeah tomorrow I'll be telling y'all how I was stupid today ). But there's always chipping and putting practice!

Also gotta make hay .. or in this case hit golf balls .. while the sun shines. We've been having a string of clear and really mild, comfortable days .. so how long can this wonderfulness last?

Good morning, Spies!! Happy Tuesday!

It's another beautiful morning here, albeit chilly. But we are now fully in that time of year - chilly mornings, beautiful afternoons. Another one in store for us today.

Nothing to really report this morning. Nothing on the horizon outside of work and hopefully another couple rounds of golf before the real chill sets in. So everyone have an awesome day!

Good morning Spies! Barely out of bed this morning when there's a knock on the door. It was the plumber to work on my leaky/won't stop running toilet. He took the lid off the tank, looked in there for about two seconds, and said "it needs a complete rebuild." Whatever that was, it took 10 minutes.

After two straight days on the range testing the Newton shafts, my arms are barking at me. Shoulder is actually not bad, but the biceps and forearms are achy.

Oh, yesterday's trip. Our nurse who was flying in from Texas couldn't get in Sunday night; she arrived somewhere around noon Monday. The nurse who was already in town had a 2:30 flight to Boston and couldn't get it changed, and there wasn't enough time in between for a 3-hour patient visit So the visit didn't happen. Tentatively scheduled for next Monday. I think I'll get a round afterward at the course where I hit balls yesterday.

A couple of work meetings this afternoon, but in between I think I'll go vote.

Good Tuesday morning Spies!

Another beautiful day in store with possibility of record high temp tomorrow and Thursday. Forecast to reach low 90's... Fortunately, the humidity is low so not as unpleasant.

GC duties this afternoon and then CEO has placed some inventory tasks on the list again for upcoming shows/fairs so busy week and weekend ahead.

@sirchunksalot hope you get the computer situation resolved this go round and get it behind you. I know how frustrating this can be firsthand.

Looking forward to following your journey to single digits @GolfSpy_KFT and thank you for sharing this with us.

PT was interesting yesterday they had me with an occupational therapist and she is trying a different tact, she thinks it’s an impingement of the Guyon canal.  We’ll see.

Good morning!

Slow start this morning--ran out of coffee but thankfully my wife brough some by my work after dropping off the kiddo at daycare so starting to feel alive again. Working on a couple different projects but have to meet an electrical inspector today between 12 and 2 to look out our appliances damaged by the storm a few weeks ago. 

YouTube vid on first on-course action for the Galway Bay rain system is up on the review! No rain unfortunately, but wanted to at least string together some clips of hitting balls and putting. Look forward to more work with it all soon!

Good morning, spies! Wild Bunch played yesterday for the first time in 10 days. Lots of old guys were definitely displaying signs of golf withdrawal. I played pretty well after starting the round with a pair of double bogies. Shot a 40/40 with 3 birdies and only one score over a 5. It was very nice to be able to walk the course again with temperatures in the low 90s. 

@sirchunksalot I have had Asus, Alienware, Digital Storm, and my current gamer is a Falcon Northwest. Never had a lick of trouble with the Falcon. Your issues sound like a cold junction on a grounding circuit in the power supply. The power supply heats up, the cold junction solder joint opens and the ground floats and begins to look for a ground someplace else. These high dollar low voltage electrical circuits do not like it when voltages suddenly change. When they get unhappy you get the blue screen of death or a shut down. The USB connection your external hard drive that fried, and I mean the actual connection point probably served as the ground for the entire computer and that is why the external drive smoked. And as you have discovered smoke is an essential part of electronics. When you let the smoke out of an electronic gizmo it does not work any more. The ONLY way to find this type of problem is to play a graphics intensive game for a while and really heat the box up.  Have your wife get a sales manager phone number, yep sales, and call him twice a day or more for status. In this situation the squeaky wheel really does get the grease, and he will just get p&ssed off and send you a new box. Which is what you want anyway!
