WaffleHouseTour
How early are you Spies allowed to tee off at your home course? I’m sure it varies across the country. I have a standing 7am tee time at my home club in Iowa. But another club I often play at doesn’t allow play before 9am (I’m sure it has to do with a small maintenance staff). Another one in Nebraska it’s 8am. Yet when I visit my daughters in Illinois I routinely see on-line tee times available as early as 5:30am. That 5:30 is a tad early for me, but I’d love to tee it up at 6 or 6:30. You? DaveNC
This would have been back in the early 1960's. My Dad's best friend was a dentist and had a son my age. My Dad was a local pharmacist who had to work Saturdays so he got Wednesday's off. In the summer the four of us would often go to the local tennis courts that had lights that you turned on with a quarter. We would go play doubles tennis way before sunrise and play until daylight. Then we would go play 18 holes of golf and my Dad's best friend would be able to make a 10:30 a.m. appointment that day. Good times. And anyone who has played true early morning golf in the midwest knows what a 'roster tail' is on the golf course. dave silver & black, William P, Josh Parker and 1 other
RetiredBoomer
We get to the club early, but often have breakfast first so the start isn't hideously early. Weekday morning golf requires no reserved tee times at our club. We can have breakfast, make up the pairings and type of game that we want to play, and then just play. I personally have no preference about time of day for playing, as long as it's not on weekends. Things get too regimented then. I'd rather just read the paper or a magazine on the sundeck. bama no 1, Josh Parker and William P

Kenny B
Depends on the time of year… in late fall, winter, and early spring I like tee times closer to noon because it’s warmer and the early guys are done.
