I'd give it a try.  Interesting that the website has a separate page for men's and women's driver, but the writeup is the same even though the specs are different.

Curious why Mizuno went with 440cc instead of 460cc.  They didn't mention that.

Looks like it is the deeper face which is generally indicative of a 440 cc and a 460cc is wider.  Let's face it, the better players are going to give the Mizuno a try and they, (at least I) miss high or low but still center of the face toe to heel wise.

So far this is the only club I would rather try than the Cobra, but just barely.

They look great but I dont think anyone is going to care until at least Mizuno tour pros start bagging their woods.  When even the people who are under contract to play Mizunos arent playing their woods, you know they arent the best woods out there.

I assume if Mizuno wants people to take their woods/ drivers more seriously, they would have Luke Donald putting down the SLDR to play one ;)

Yeah, it's a mystery to me how a company who has absolutely figured out irons can be so out to lunch on woods.    The photos of this driver leaked like 6 months ago when Donald was testing it.   Since then, no heat, no buzz, no nothing.   If there is something worth squawking about, they need to get it in the hands of a few testers and let us see what is there to be appreciated.

I compare this to what I'm hearing about Srixon's new line -- which aren't really even new.   A lesser brand, new to these shores, but I'm hearing the driver is hot and the irons are both long and smooth.

Maybe you can't really fool the American word of mouth.  It takes us awhile, but maybe we actually do uncover a club's actual merits or defects when we put it through it's paces.
