Hit the Sub Zero today at my club and it is a beast. Shaft was not a match for me but loved the head.

TGW.com is offering 2014 Titleist NXT S in white or yellow for $29/dozen plus $7 shipping. They're on back order until 22 April. The $7 shipping was good for the 4 doz yellow i ordered last night. Comes out to $2.50/ball vs. $3.12 for the ProV1 offer of 4 dozen for the price of 3.

 

I hate losing expensive balls, but Titleist just performs for me. I have not noticed a performance drop off in the NXTs vs ProVs, so i still got a bargain yet splurged on good balls.

I might lean F7M2 first.... Then F7M2 LTD then HRZDUS Black handcrafted then maybe Elements Chrome if my HRZDUS Red handcrafted hasn't gotten here by then.... Decisions decisions...

Either way, attempt #49 to replace the Superfast 2.0 LCG is now under way.

I am curious about this test, because from what I've heard, unless you swing upwards of 120 you can't get the ball up in the air, (even though I don't know your ss), my guess is because the sub zero will difficult to hit, that it will not replace the super fast. This just what I've heard about the sub zero.

Nah, of the tour guys playing it, I know Phil, Lowry and Gore don't consistently get to 120 (although close). Can't remember who else is playing it.

 

And btw Rookie swings it pretty fast, although not sure exactly what.

 

Edit: BTW glad you went with the SubZero Rook! Its been on my short list.

That's just what I've heard, I am curious about it though, it's one of those clubs that is made for specific group of players. Low launch, Low spin, should be interesting to see if getting it airborne will difficult.

I hit a 9.2 degree driver now that's 1.9 degrees open and have a 113 mph swing speed. I swing X flex shafts and haven't had an issue. This one should be higher loft than that. I'm gonna try the HRZDUS black first and I'm afraid the low low combo might result in worm burners. F7M2 LTD might be the same result. The F7M2 should be a good match as it's mid launch then the HRZDUS red proto I have on the way is high launch. The Chrome is mid launch as well. Should be an interesting test

Picked up some Lamkin UTX grips so I can get the Golf Pride Z cords off my irons. Also got some Sensixore inserts on the way due to my elbow issues. Should have the irons regripped and ready to go by Tuesday.

I'm counting it... Got a call to play in a scramble this morning at 6:15 (was asleep)... Went, got 3rd and a $50 gift card and won the long drive which got me a new SM6 56* wedge. And we were a man short, playing with 3. Shot a 56.

Well, my Ping G driver purchase that I made a few months ago has not been working out well. The SF Tec model is just not for me.

 

Used the Trackman at the club today and hit a few different options. The clear winner was the Taylormade M1 with an Aldila Rogue Silver 70X shaft. Picked up 10 yards of carry with much better dispersion and no hooks. I also like the feel and more muted sound. The order is in, I'll be trading in a plethora of drivers and iron sets I have sitting in my house collecting dust.

 

On a side note, I've been hitting the gym hard for about a month now and my swing speed has increased 6mph. Not too upset about that.

Don't you just hate when that happens? I've been happy with my gamer for about 3-4 years... tried the King LTD, fell in love... now have a fitting session booked for next week...

If I didn't have anything to trade I definitely wouldn't be getting it. I vowed to never bag anything TMag again but it's hard to argue with performance. I've hit it about 4 times now on the range and played 9 holes with my buddy's which is the exact same setup. I just want to be done messing around with drivers. For a while anyway.

That is exactly my hope. I also hit the Callaway 816 DBD. Really enjoyed the smaller head shape. Hit some great shots with it and didn't hook it but the mishits we're just too punishing in terms of distance loss.

Is your 3wd ok, do you hit that well or no, because you could always go outside the box and look for a strong 3wd, like 13*, or check out a mini driver, my thought was to look at putting a driver shaft in a strong 3, when I was struggling finding a driver I contemplated that often, but I couldnt find the right 3, the I hit my current gamer x2hot pro, and haven't looked back.

I seriously need to post some pics of all the recent purchases. Putter, tee 3w, tee 3h, cobra 3-4h, md3 57* wedge, I paid more for the 1 wedge than I did for all 4 of the others combined. I still have 2 more wedges being worked on, waiting for those to be finished, I'll post some pics tomorrow.
