Just made my terrible morning great again. Literally lol'd in the office and got some pretty funny looks. 

 

 

The app has a multiquote function that works pretty well to me. Just in case you havent seen it. I haven't attempted looking at the full site on mobile to know if that is an option.

 

I normally use the browser on the phone even though I have the app.  But thanks for letting me know!

ha ha ha.... gotcha:D    I call it a cooling mask, but it's a multipurpose face shield that you can keep wet to cool you down...etc...

The only issue was when he walked into the clubhouse wearing that, and the Pro Shop Attendant hit the hidden emergency button to the police department, thinking we were being robbed...Ha J/k

 

Yep, survived 18 holes, then played another 9 hole league round right after.  So how hot was it ?  It was so hot that chickens were laying hard boiled eggs.  It was so hot that you couldn't make a chili dog.  It was so hot that MDGH was the only fool  wearing sweat pants...

He may have been making a funny, but the dude wore pants in 105 index heat.   Although truth be told, I think there was a slight breeze that made more like 103...so maybe that's why he wore pants.

Adjusting to the one length irons.  I'm still adjusting.  I hit a few 4 irons and I still can't get the placement right on it so more times than not, I'm getting very, very low trajectory shots from it.  I love hitting long irons, so I had high hopes for this one, but it hasn't panned out as I hoped.  A close second is my expectations for the driver and fww's.  I was expecting that I'd get these crazy distances like some of the other testers...and I'm not.  It's not any longer than my previous driver.  The fww's though are better suited to me as my previous 3W/5W were off the shelf and the shafts were very inconsistent with my swing.

The sun was beating down on me, like a boxer trapped in the corner ring.  I wiped my brow holding back the sweat like the Hoover Dam holding back Lake Mead.  Why did I choose one of the hottest days of the year to complete the Week 8 Challenge ?  The temperature gauge read 104* and shimmered in the heat of the afternoon sun.  It's for the forum members, I told myself.  They want to see how these F8's handle.  So reluctantly, I got out of my air conditioned car and waddled to the Proshop from the humidity making my moisture wicking pants stick to my legs like saran wrap on left overs.

 

  I paid my greens fees and headed out to the first tee without hitting any balls prior to the round.  Its been almost 2 weeks since I last teed it up and i wasn't sure which golfer was going to show up this round. The heat, it seemed to notch up a bit more as I neared the first tee.

 

  Arriving at the tee box, I surveyed the hole before me.  It's a course I've played many times before but yet, it seemed different today.  There was something tangible in the air.  Perhaps today was my day to shoot that low round, that low round that I've glimpsed in the past. I put the tee in the ground and place the Bridgestone B-330RX on top of it.  Will it be hurled down the fairway like Hercules throwing Lichas into the Sea or will it meet it's demise like Icarus flying too close to the sun ?

With that kind of a lead-in, I'm guessing MD is now used to the one length irons and played very well and contributed -6 to the combined improvement.

It is a consistent 155-165 yard club for me.......It came set at 18.5* and have not moved it. At 155, I have to choke up and swing easy, but it's solid at 165. Prior to that, I had the F6 4-5 Baffler and used it at 18.5*.

Ignoring the number painted on the toe of the club and trusting the SmartDistance from Arccos. If you read back in the thread, I've blown it over at least one green because I just didn't trust the yardage. But Arccos has helped get over that pretty quickly.

 

If I had to pick something else, it's standing up taller over the ball because these clubs are standard lie, whereas my other ones were 2* flat.
