Popular Post Kenny B
Good Morning everyone! A little more rain overnight but it's 40º. It was nice to see the sun yesterday even if it was brief! No sun today though. The club's Ladies League had a post-holiday pot luck last night in lieu of a Christmas party since a lot of members were out-of-town. Great food; one lady is Thai and the Pad Thai was outstanding!! Better than the restaurant stuff we usually get. I ate too much... extra exercises today. Ugh! Wishing everyone a great Sunday of golf or football. I have no horse in this race so I'll watch LPGA. Popular Post sirchunksalot
We took in the Chinese New Year's celebration today in Collegedale and had a great time. There was a lot of people there for such a small space and getting around in the crowd was a bit tough. They put on a pretty good show and had a lot of good food there too eat, although my biggest complaint was it was all vegetarian. I had some sweet and spicy chicken (that was not chicken) and while the taste was good, it was a bit squishy. They did have Korean cheese dogs which are like a corn dog with funnel cake batter filled with mozzarella that were freaking delicious! My wife picked up a picture of a dragon that's going in her art room and a cute dragon hat. It was fun and something different for us, but we had a great time in kicking off our adventures for 2024. There are two Water2Wine boats for public and private dinner cruises. Our golf course is just down the street, so we stopped in and made a tee time for Thursday. The course looks playable now, but there is still standing water in some fairways and we don't have cart paths except around tees and greens. Popular Post berkeleybob
Morning all. The good news is, I don’t have to pull an all-nighter watching the Super Bowl. And I’m proud of the Lions. They pulled off a fantastic regular season and two wins in the post season. Next year will only get better, even without Ben Johnson. And I’m over my chest cold (mostly) so I’ll be at the sim course tomorrow. And I’ll be seeing my dad at the end of the week with my clubs in tow. And I love my wife. And my dog. And if I can forget the last seven hours and be present, now, in the moment, I can enjoy this cup of coffee in front of me. Delicious, warm, and not too bitter. Popular Post ParFore74x
Good Monday morning to you spies! Spent most of yesterday sitting and relaxing with around 90 minutes of running around town. I did make the discovery that the Dicks Sporting Goods in town stocks shaft extensions so I was able to stop and grab one during my errands yesterday. Now I can extend my GW by around 1/4”. Looks like temps should be in the 40s for the next week or two. It will be nice to get rid of the snow and get some things done outside. I think that my spring fever is kicking in early this year. I’m going to see if the bosses at work will allow me to put in some OT during the week and skip out on working Saturday. One day weekends are not my friend.
