Popular Post Steve F
Good morning MGS Nation! The only way to describe the weather this morning is glorious! Mid 60's, low humidity, not a cloud in the sky, light breeze.... PERFECT weather for anything outdoors, especially golf! League night tonight, hoping to shake the last two rounds out of my head and move forward. Got some awesome news last night: My daughter in law works at the USGA and she sent my wife and I tickets to the US Women's Open in Lancaster, PA for Saturday! I can't tell you how stoked I am to be attending this! Lancaster is about an hour and ten minutes from our house, so this is an incredible opportunity to view in person top notch golf right near the homestead! On the sadder side of things, I went to our Club Champion to set up an appointment for a putter fitting to get numbers for the Spider and the Mamba. All went well in store, but when I got back to my car, it wouldn't start. I could not believe it. SOOO, towed it to the shop where I work and now the anxiety begins.... what could it possibly be. More will be revealed.... soon, I hope! Popular Post Wheelieb
Morning All, I went to the range this morning as I have the drill weekend this coming weekend. Hopefully I'll be able get a round in after work one of these days or on Sunday. Next week I will be out after work for sure to follow another scramble on Friday the 7th. Yesterday we found out why our AC in our work building isn't working properly, that also includes the heat this past winter. The contractors came out thinking it was a circuit board in which they had to make themselves because, well why not make the military pay for more stuff. That got replaced and then they found the actual reason it's broke. Needless to say, 30,000 dollars later and they will be replacing the whole system because the original installers messed it up that badly in 2017. Popular Post EasyPutter
Good morning MGSpies from the glorious beginnings of an awesome relaxing and recovering day in VA just a little ways from the meetup site in a gated community for this WNYer, planned this well with a solid 9 hours sleep after the drive down yesterday and after setting up camp made my way (about 100 yards) to the golf course clubhouse and had a friendly conversation with retired Navy man Drew at the pro shop. Played 9 holes before getting something to eat and settled in for the night, I've got the entire campsite loop to myself. Can't remember the last time I had this much peace and chance to do nothing if that's my choice so until tomorrow, will make peace with not remembering how to make my choices for the weekly PGA tournament picks for this weekend and instead get recharged for the meetup that begins at MyGolfSpy HQ, and then it's back to game on! Popular Post Dan1993
Good Morning Spies! Had a fantastic Memorial Day with a 7am Tee Time! Finally got an opportunity to spend some time with the New Bridgestone Mindset Golf Balls, and even more exciting, My new DF3!! Boy what a day it was! The Round - Red Wing Lake Golf Course Getting close to finally breaking 90! Name of the game was recoveries! Lots of missed fairways and chunked iron shots, but my chipping and approach shots really saved the day! The Legend DF3 Boy Oh BOY! They tell no lies telling you there's magic in those screws! An absolute beauty to look at, and a dream to roll putts with. Putting felt automatic inside 8ft, felt like I could just not miss. Outside of 10ft, my distance control left a lot to be desired, but I think with time, that will be easily corrected. Bridgestone Tour B RX Mindset First round with the Mindset Bridgestone, courtesy of MGS!! First impressions, wow to they fly off the tee! Shot a personal best 265yd drive that I never thought I could hit, and almost put my into a seemingly unreachable hazard. I will say, I tried using the mindset features, and watched the videos a couple times leading up to my round, but i didnt find myself gravitating towards it. Putting, I found myself wanting my traditional alignment lines, verses the 1, 2, 3, setup. I'll try it a few more times to see if it helps, but as of now, Ball is Hot, Mindset not so much. (Longest Drive) Thats all for now spies! Have a tee time Friday for 9 holes, will report back! Popular Post EnderinAZ
Good morning spies! Well the trailer is in front of the house ready to be loaded for the trip to its summer resting place in the mountains. Our get out of the heat getaway. We will tow it up there tomorrow with -hopefully- no trailer brake issues. I found out the Colorado has a tow mode. That information is not in the manual, instead, it lives in a little pamphlet that came with the truck that is mostly an advertisement for getting all of the monthly charged add ons from Onstar. I am running the game again today for the Wild Bunch. Today will be 1, 2, 3. Score 1 net score on the par 3s. Score 2 net scores on the par 4s, and score 3 net scores on the par 5s. Temps will creep up over 102 this afternoon with not a lot of heat and zero humidity. So it will be nice. For those heading to Kingsmill there is a ton of history there. For me it would be the Seven Days Battle. McClellan's failed bid to take Richmond in 1862. Popular Post jbern
Good morning! I was supposed to take the morning off of work today for an early morning tee time, but mother nature had different plans. It was sprinkling as I was getting ready and on my way to the course it started downpouring. The tee time got pushed back too far and I had to get a rain check. So now I'm back at work preparing for all of my afternoon meetings. The kids have a full evening of activities and I'm the chauffeur. Should be the last night of spring activities before the summer activities kick in in a couple of weeks! Have a good day everyone! @rook_group - Welcome to the forum and the GMT! Great group of golf loving folks around these parts! Everyone going to Kingsmill, drive safe and have fun! Can't wait to hear about it and see the photos! rkj427, Steve F, EasyPutter and 10 others 13 Quote WITB (link to detailed post here): Driver: LTDx 9* (ProjectX BlueSmoke Stiff) Fairway metals: 3W TSR2 14.25* (ProjectX BlueSmoke Stiff) | 5W Gen4 0341XF (Mitsubishi Tensei Blue 75 S) Hybrid: 4H Gen4 0317XF (Mitsubishi Tensei Blue 75HY S) Irons: 659 CB 5-AW (Project X Rifle 6.0) Wedges: 286 54* & 58* (KBS Tour 120 S) Putter: DF3 OFFICIAL MEMBER REVIEW HERE ‘24 Ball: pro drip: red & blue | Tour S Pushcart: 4.0 | '23 MGS Clicgear 4.0 Pushcart Tester | Link here

Popular Post taylorjonasher
22 hours ago, David Leighton Reid said: Good late morning, golfers! We had to move my 91 year old mother into a nursing home and my sister from Mesa, AZ is here to help clean out her apartment in the assisted living facility. My mother is a hoarder and we are finding several items with many memories attached. Hope you have a great day. It's bittersweet to go through all that stuff. My mom also held onto things, and after she passed it was a roller coaster of emotions sifting through all the belongings she had collected over the years. It was wonderful being able to pass some of those things onto my kids and explain their significance, but also gut wrenching to hold items that arouse memories of that fantastic woman. To anyone reading this, if you still have your mom, give her a hug for me!
